Bon-Ton

I had never heard of Bon Ton but I found their online site bonton.com by following a link from a site called Brad's deals. They had pants in a color and in my size ... That I had not been able to find anywhere else on the Internet . I had seen a number of negative reviews about them ... Enough to scare me. So I searched the Internet again for these pants and could not find them anywhere . I took a chance and ordered them.

I received an E mail the next day saying my order had been shipped along with a tracking number. Five business days later my order arrived well packed and exactly what I was looking for.

The only thing that I found irritating was that when I saw the deal originally it had free shipping over $49 when I logged on to order the free shipping had changed to over $75. Luckily I had saved the first code and got free shipping at the lower amount.

Overall a great experience ... I would shop them with and recommend them without any hesitation.

Didn't actually visit this store location, but I did place an order on their website online. I looked a few places for reviews because I had never heard of this company before and they were the only place I could find a particular pair of shoes that my Grandmother loves (These are the ONLY shoes she will wear!). It was the Sketchers "Sunfest" Slide On Sandals! She loves them and she's almost 70 years old and says that these are the most comfortable shoes she's ever worn. She has arthritis in her right knee and she says these really help. She had two older pairs (the tread on the bottoms were wearing down because of how much she wears them and I was getting concerned about her slipping) and I took a pair just to wear around the house and they really are very comfy! But if you are looking for comfort, these are amazing, elderly and young approved!
As for Bon Ton, they were sooo awesome! Ordered on a Tuesday and got them that Friday! Very fast shipping and the shoes were on sale for $29.99 a pair, plus I found a promo code online for an additional 25% off! So I ended up getting two pairs for $45.00, that's a steal because these shoes used to be $50 a pair, and shipping was FREE too! Great experience ordering online! Thank you Bon Ton! Truly appreciate it!

Can you say s l o w. In almost every department we are talking slug like speed. The only plus side is their prices but the staff on the other hand needs a major overhaul !!!!!

Today, I visited the Bon Ton shoe department. I left with 2 pairs of Nine West shoes. They were a bit expensive, but I needed them and didn't have any coupons. The only thing I was unhappy with was that they didn't have very many higher end brand shoes. A lot of there shoes were cheap looking.

I did have a wonderful sales associate. She was very friendly and helpful.

Love this store! My wife and I frequently visit when we need clothes or something for our house. Although the majority of the customers are older, I think they are trying to gear towards a younger crowd. The men's section has a lot of nice outdoors clothes and my wife likes their junior's and cosmetics department.

This store is a major ad and coupon store. If you want to get lower-than-walmart prices LOOK FOR COUPONS! Now at first I will admit, their coupons have a lot of exclusions (no where near as many as Macy's though) and I had trouble at first, but I asked the guy working what is the best way to tell if I can use the coupon. He said to just read the sign. Sure enough, all their signs will be marked 'no discount available' at the bottom if I can't use my coupon. Ever since, I've never had an issue. Sometimes there will be a $50 off $100 coupon which feels unreal!

Overall, we really like this store. The associates are always nice, never in a hurry, and some of them are hilarious. The store is always clean. Will shop again and again!

Best store for sales! Coupon overload. ..but better quality and cheaper than WalMart! Used to cater to the older clientele, but that is surely in the past. I've heard people in line complain about not being able to use coupon on certain items...read people! All stores have restrictions! The sales people are friendly too!

Nice store for mature women. Most of their employees are women over the age of 55. They are knowledgeable of their products and always willing to help you find a perfect gift for your mother or grandmother. Excellent store to find a MOTB dress for a wedding. However, keep this all in mind if you're under the age of 40 and are looking for a place to shop. Old school middle class clothing: high necklines, low heels, and long skirts.

I give it 4 stars because the lingerie section is right next to the children's section. Bridal lingerie is within arms reach of super hero shirts. This is a poor and awkward layout as far as I am concerned.

I've never really been an avid Bon Ton shopper. I always saw this store as a place for older people and golfers to shop. However, yesterday I decided to stop in and check out their Black Friday sales. When I walked in, I immedieatly honed in on a setup of Keurigs in the middle of the store. The one model was on sale for a great price, marked by a little green tag taped above the display. I grabbed a box ( not a small feat...it got heavy after a few minutes) and walked around to see if there was anything else I wanted. At this point, no one had greeted me or asked me for assistance as I lugged my box around the store. Finally I was satisfied that I only wanted the Keurig, and I got in line at the front of the store. I was immedieatly surprised to hear multiple customers engaged in heated conversations with the associates at the registers. One after one, people were getting angry, and some were leaving. One lady even made her purchase and then angrily returned it immedieatly after. I didn't pay much attention and chalked it all up to Black Friday madness, but when it was my turn to be checked out, I quickly found out why so many customers in front of me were so upset. Apparently the Doorbuster sale had ended about 30 minutes prior to my checkout time, but the store had failed to remove the sale prices from any of the items. Even the big green Doorbuster signs were still taped up all around the registers. Instead of continuing to honor the posted prices for these items, the associates of the store were instructed to flat out reject our requests to pay the posted price and charge us whatever price came up in the register. When I questioned the price of my Keurig, the nice associate went back to the display and checked for tags and then informed me that the little green tag price had ended and that there was nothing he could do to honor the price that was posted. It didn't matter what time I came into the store or that I had walked around for a little while, it was after 3, so I could pay the higher price for my item or not purchase it. I chose to not make the purchase, and promptly left, vowing to go back to being anti-Bon Ton.

I then thought it might be a good idea to make a call to Bon Ton's customer service and share my experience, hoping that maybe a regional manager would catch wind of the issue and make a change for next year. The line for customer service was busy for over 2 hours. Once I finally got through, I spoke to a very nice man who listened to my story and apologized for my bad experience, and proceeded to look up my item on their website to verify that it was actually still on sale online. Although he was quite personable, and he told me that he would share my negative experience with the correct channels, it occurred to me after hanging up that he never asked for my name. Or the state where I live. Or the city where the store was located. How would the customer service rep share this info with the store if he NEVER ASKED WHAT STORE I WENT TO?!??

So, here I am, doing the only thing I can think of...sharing my story online where hopefully someone will read it and save themselves the hassle of shopping in this horrid store. I will never spend my money in a store or for a company, who so very blatantly doesn't care about their customers.
