If you're looking for fresh, tasty, unique, and local Mexican fare, you have to give Boloco a try! Sadly, their location count has been shrinking and I am perplexed.
The food is far better in terms of quality and taste vs your typical chain. And the food is actually hot, what a concept! They have a plethora of options with something for everyone on the menu.
They have burritos, bowls, salads, quesadillas, and a solid selection of sides, salsas, and sauces to accompany your burrito! They also offer a solid kids menu.
They have a variety of creative bowls, burritos, salads, and more. However, you can order all of it YOUR way. We both ordered the Goloco Burrito. You can customize the protein and there is no extra charges for other fillings. There is a small upcharge on certain protein options, like the Steak.
I ordered the Original Size (small upcharge) Goloco Burrito with Boloco Rice, Grass-Fed Marinated Steak (small upcharge) and a plethora of Goloco Add-Ons.
I always add the fajita veggies, sour cream, jack-cheddar mix, and a side of the Tomatillo Salsa. My friend went with the same, except she did half chicken/half steak. Our order was accurate and all the ingredients selected were correct!
If you want to add-on chips and guac, I HIGHLY recommend it. It beats the popular chain in terms of taste, quality, and price. You can get a nice-sized order of guac/chips for around $4.20! They also offer chips/salsa and chips/queso dip.
The guac is fresh and delicious, they don't over-do it on the onion or cilantro. You also get a nice-size portion of guac. The chips are fresh and crisp, salted just right. They could include a few more chips as I had some guac leftover with no more chips.
I highly recommend Boloco over the national chain you can get anywhere. Boloco has some seriously fresh and flavorful fare. The price is right and they're very fair in terms of portion size and protein.
My only complaint is I'd love to see a more authentic dessert menu. Flan or Churros would be a nice offering! I will also be honest, they are a bit heavy on the rice in the burrito, which can be a turn-off to many folks.
I am hoping they'll be staying around, despite the challenges from the pandemic and whatnot. The food is fresh and flavorful and is a nice change than the cold and bland fare you get at the big chain spots.
Everything was packaged securely and made perfectly. It was delivered piping hot and fresh by DoorDash. Our go-to for a solid burrito in Boston, hands-down.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeremy S.San Antonio, TX42123Jul 14, 2023
Craving Chipotle? Go here instead, its a great local option. Great food, great ingredients, many more options, taste super fresh, and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant itself was very clean and tidy. I recommend the Modern Mexican bowl, or you can simply build your own.

Awesome food, easy to order exactly what you want. It's set up like Chipotle, but the food is better quality and the portions are larger. 10/10 would recommend.

$7.75 for a small elote bowl (aji amerillo infused farro, street corn salsa, cotija cheese, creamy elote aioli, fresh cilantro, mexican popcorn) with steak +$0.75 and chips and guac $3.50. Pretty expensive but they let you add all the toppings you want (caramelized onions, charred broccoli, baby kale, even guac is included!) The mexican popcorn was just stale unseasoned popcorn. This is definitely not as much food as what you get at other fast casual mexican joints for the same price but the variety is unparalleled.
Service was good. The main guy working the stations was flooded by this one customer ordering 3 bowls so the guy with the man bun jumped right in to assist me which was really nice. Clean restaurant. Lots of people do pickup. There's also self service ordering kiosk.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - J F.Ladera Ranch, CA2315353Nov 2, 2022
Great vegan salad with fajita veggies and tofu. This place is better than chipotle! Loved it!

I go to school around the corner from this Boloco and it always hits the spot. The staff is incredible and the food puts you straight in a food coma.

Boloco has the hidden gem of Boston which is the BUFFALO CHICKEN BURRITO. Talk about something unique and incredible! It is the perfect burrito, but throw away your preconceived notions of what a burrito should be and think of the best Buffalo chicken wrap, but instead of a dry thick wrap, it is enveloped in the softest stretchiest burrito tortilla. If you have any friends who tried a different burrito at boloco and say it's only ok, they are WRONG about boloco because unless they've had the Buffalo chicken burrito they don't know all that boloco has to offer. You have to get the dark meat chicken, and it's enrobed in perfect Buffalo sauce, on a bed of rice, chopped celery, and topped with a balanced blue cheese sauce that even blue cheese haters would appreciate. I have to be honest I don't get any other thing on the menu (and I've tried the other items) but this is THE ONE item that you have to get. I used to live in Boston and would get this burrito all the time, but now that I moved to the west coast, this is the restaurant I hit up every time I visit Boston before I head to the airport so I can eat a Buffalo chicken burrito before I leave and also buy extra to take home - it is worth getting stopped at TSA for - this burrito is THAT GOOD. And yes they will stop you every time because a burrito or two in your bag does look suspicious. I even have my friends bring me back a boloco Buffalo chicken burrito when they fly to Boston without me. PLEASE OPEN A LOCATION IN SEATTLE!
