The Boiler Room has the area's most extensive European wine list. All of our cocktails are hand crafted with fresh juices and house made ingredients. The menu changes every day to reflect local farm availability and fish is brought in daily.

A wonderful restaurant for all occasions. We have been here a number of times before and always enjoy a special meal. Tim Nicholson of The Boiler Room is a nominee for Best Chef: Midwest as part of the 2024 James Beard Awards and well deserved.
After years of street construction parking access to the restaurant is much easier. You actually enter the restaurant at street level which is the upper level dining area. The restaurant includes a party room and a wonderful viewing of the bar and area from upstairs. Downstairs offers additional seating. Tastefully restored the restaurant has a modern vibe with preservation of the historic structure.
Service is always premium at this restaurant and it did not fail today. The food selections were wonderful and all top quality. While a little pricier than some area restaurants, it's truly worth the treat. Nearly everything served is made in house from bread to charcuterie, sides and attention to detail is obvious.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 24, 2023Previous reviewI love the Boiler Room. It's such a cool restaurant off the beaten path. Offering a really interesting layout as a former home of a boiler room. It allows for seating up above to view the bar area and chefs preparation's. Down below tables are quietly tucked away for a romantic evening!
They offer a full bar with signature cocktails in an extensive wine list. This restaurant is affiliated with Le Boullion and Via Farina so you can appreciate the fine dining here.
The service is excellent, and reservations are highly recommended, particularly on the weekends when this find any experiences in high demand. - Feb 19, 20242 check-ins
I apparently failed to review this fine establishment before! This is something I now will remedy.
The Boiler Room is a delicious fine dining establishment. The street level entry doesn't prepare you for the open-basement view of the kitchen and bar area. The bar is quite good, reason alone to visit them. The dining can occur there, but the good tables are up on the first floor.
Service is excellent and prompt. Whether table side or at the bar, we found it suited us, then and now.
The food is rich and delicious. Even the charcuterie plate for the nibbling is quite good. Well worth the visit.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kim K.Omaha, NE1024558Apr 20, 2024
I can't believe it took me this long to get here, but I finally did! I was lucky enough to be treated by a friend for a pre-birthday dinner. We were seated upstairs, which was just perfect so I could watch the kitchen and how it operates. We had an absolutely fantastic dinner and service was impeccable. We had the scallop Crudo as an appetizer . I had the halibut and my friend ordered the swordfish for entrées.
After my experience, I can understand why chef is up for James Beard award! My only regret is waiting so long to get here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 9, 2023
I recently dined at The Boiler Room in Omaha, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The halibut was a highlight - cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. However, the ratatouille left something to be desired, lacking the same wow factor.
The steak was decent, and the pork chop was alright, though neither left a lasting impression. What did stand out were the ricotta agnolotti and the jalapeño pork sausage - truly exceptional dishes that I couldn't get enough of.
The service was solid, and the lively ambiance was a perfect match for the Downtown vibe. Our table was located by a painting of pig heads, which was strangely unnerving, but it didn't overshadow the overall experience.
I was quite pleased with my Archer Scotch drink - impeccably smooth. The sourdough bread was a delightful addition, soaking up every bit of the delicious sauces.
While I thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of the meal, I did feel that the prices were slightly on the higher side. All in all, The Boiler Room provided a mix of flavors and experiences, with some definite highlights that are worth trying.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 139135394Jun 23, 2023
The ambiance and the inside of this place is great! It's very downtown Omaha with a lot of brick and old style interior with the grill in the open space right in the middle.
After a couple cocktails and wine we started with the salmon croquette as an appetizer and I'll say it was ok. Nothing I'd write home about.
For the main course I ordered the pan roasted faroe island salmon and it was really good! The veggies were a great addition, the sauce was excellent, and it was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend ordered the Morgan ranch wagyu sirloin steak and I have to say this was the highlight of the meal. It came with great portions, was cooked perfectly and so tender, the potatoes were fantastic, and it was just an overall great dish.
I enjoyed our meal here, but for the price I expected something a bit more upscale. Not Michelin upscale, but this didn't quite meet expeditions. I still recommend it for a good dinner out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 15, 2023
I came here with a group on a work related trip. Never having been to Omaha I didn't realize why people referred to "omaha steaks" as it's own category and got the chance to figure that out.
The area where the restaurant is located is mostly industrial buildings revitalized for modern businesses. The boiler room was no different and had both an upstairs and downstairs dining.
For my meal the waitress recommended the steak medium rare and it was absolutely delicious, seasoned perfectly, and cooked to perfection. I'm not a fan of anything rare because it gets chewy and detracts from the experience. This was just a very wonderful meal and would highly recommended coming here for a nice steak.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lilly S.Des Moines, IA29641Jan 12, 2024
The space is cool and good wine selection. My dessert was the best part of the meal! It was like a huge macaroon stuffed with goodness. Husbands steak was amazing and cooked perfectly. Just not sure it's worth $300 for the 2 of us. Had a couple of beers, a glass of wine, one appetizer, two entrées and two desserts.

I'm not bias, i'm NEVER slightly influenced, but my waiter aka best friend, gave my friends and I the experience of a lifetime as she kindly invited us into the getaway of the boiler room. The atmosphere is one i've never experienced as you feel taken care of in this rustic yet comfortable hideaway. Everything was of the utmost quality; the food, the drinks, the service. Everything was a treat as you're pampered and privileged to experience the boiler room and all they have to offer. Highly recommend as an unforgettable night!

I came here for my husband's birthday. I like that they did not show any intent of rushing us out of the restaurant, especially since we were the last customers. Even though it was past closing hours, they still offered us dessert.
