    • Q:

Would this be appropriate for kids ages 2.5 & 4.5? They are boating kids. There would be 3 kids & 4 adults

      A:

They would love it. Its safe, there are bars and chains on the sides. I took a 9 year old and he loved it. The fact adults out number the kids.

My cousin and I went out from the Southport location (2001 E Southport Rd, Kissimmee) on a day that kept spitting rain, and somehow we got out there between the raindrops. It helped to know in advance that we weren't likely to see any gators since it was so cold (for Florida, anyway). We saw a ton of marsh birds, and bald eagles in the trees & even one circling low over the lake, looking for a meal. It would have been cool to see some alligators but if you're into birds or the wind in your hair you won't be disappointed either way.

If you go on a cold day (in the 60s, say) BUNDLE UP! It is colder on the water, and the wind from the ride will also chill you. The lodge had a fire going that day which was nice--not only did it smell great in there but after the ride we warmed our hands over the fire.

I got to ride shotgun for a while--the view is amazing from up there! The guide was charming and knowledgeable, and his enthusiasm for his job and for Florida wildlife was apparent. I now want to move to Florida and buy an airboat...

After the ride the talk and photo session with "Zeus" (a 3 foot long, 3 year old alligator) was cool. The man presenting that info was also very passionate about his job and is glad to talk about environmental conservation.

      Heck yeah! Riding shotgun!

Boat ride was so much fun and our tour guide was great. We did the one hour tour and it was really worth it! Grandkids loved it!

The evening airboat tour is totally worth the additional cost. This is a unique experience. It's in a beautiful place with an awesome sunset. We were able to see several alligators swimming and standing. Also, lots of birds.

Weather was warm at 7-8pm in April. It can be a bit windy when the boat is moving. Headphones are available to attenuate the engine noise.

Tip1: Search the web for discounts. I found 10% off.

Tip 2: Traffic gets very slow when people come out of work. We encountered 3 car accidents on the way. The airboat will leave at 7pm sharp!

Went here yesterday. Run down place, took an airboat ride. When exiting the boat, no one offered to help me or anyone else get off. Boat moved and I fell. They didn't care or offer to help me get up or anything.

The other thing that was very annoying was their sign that said "a 20% tip is customary". For a tip you'd at least expect them to be friendly and accommodating, they were neither.

      2/14/24 9:30 AM 1 HR TOUR 68 degrees

We've been coming to Boggy Creek for at least 14 years.
The other visits were either during the summer or fall.

This is by far the most wildlife we've seen: birds and alligators. The variety of birds, including the endangered Florida bird.... Can't always hear with the headset on. We were also able to witness two birds flying with their food...a fish and snail to be exact.

If you are with someone that gets cold easily, have them bring a jacket. The weather was cool, and it was a little overcast which made the temperature comfortable.

Try to order your tickets online prior to going. It'll make your. Experience easier.

We really enjoyed our little side trip away from the themed parks to ride an airboat. What a fun and unique experience! The place is so beautiful! While zipping around fast, the captain also stopped to show us around. We saw green water plants, crocodiles, a bald eagle, and birds. Highly recommend!

This was our first airboat experience and it was hands down AMAZING. TYLER our airboat captain was super cool. He took us to some really good spots, and we saw everything from baby alligators to a huge mother protecting her nest. It was the first time we had ever seen such a large alligator in person.
Onsite there is a gift shop, a restaurant, and much more. We were there for the airboat ride but also walked around afterwards.

Airboat ride on a giant lake, I did this years ago in Nola and always wanted to try it again. This time both kids were old enough to go on and we took the entire family.

There's a giant fan in the back so it gets loud, they do supply ear protection an safety vests for the kids. Because of the unique flat-bottom and location of the propulsion you will literally be flying over everglades grass and lily pads. I'll never forget the first turn our captain made right into the grass, very surreal moment.

The movement is smooth and nice, it's like a continuous back and forth drift. We did get some lake water droplets and bugs bouncing off our face but still worth it.

We didn't see a lot of 'gators, just two small babies but the waiting area has a large pen with a ton of them. There is also a replica Native Jororo village, "gem" mining", outdoor bar, butterfly enclosure, and other things to do. The bathrooms have very excellent AC and I snuck in there to drink my beer on this super hot and humid day.

We recently went here on the day tour and it was an amazing experience, our tour guide Captain Patrick was funny and also taught us about the many different species of birds and crocs out there. I highly recommend going if you like an adventure. I'm sure we'll be back soon and if you're planning on going do the hour long tour :)
