My mom and I had a great pre-theater dining experience here!
We got there at 5:30. It was pretty empty but quickly filled up as the night went on! I had the limoncello spritz to drink. It was a great spring cocktail with lots of lemon flavor!
To start, we shared the meat and cheese board. It was fabulous! The presentation was beautiful and the three cheeses paired great with the salami and prosciutto. The cheese also goes great with their complimentary bread and I love that the board comes with honey. Salty/sweet is the way to my heart! Only negative was that our appetizer took a while to come out and then our entrees came out not long after. The pacing could have been better.
For my entree I had the cacio e Pepe. It was very good, but I've definitely had better in New York. It was a very large portion for the price, which was a plus!
Overall, I loved the rustic, yet elevated vibe in here and would definitely come back. If you are seeing a show at Studio 54, this is only an avenue away, so it's a great choice for pre-theater dining!Helpful 11Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - 290364774Aug 25, 2023
First time eating bolognese & I loved this!!! Wow! The server was so cute, Italian, & kind old man. We all enjoyed our food.
The lasagna fyi does have ricotta cheese but hardly enough to taste, which is good for me given I don't like ricotta. Also, the bread was not good.
Very authentic, nicely designed restaurant.
I didn't realize there were so many bucca di bacco's here; I have to return for bolognese again! I highly recommend this location.
Go, enjoy!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 2, 2023
Bocca di Bacco is a classic Italian establishment in the Heart of Hell's Kitchen. The service is on point, and it brings you the authentic experience of having Italian in New York. The mahogany architecture gives an old but familiar feel and the food takes you back to the roots of New York. If you're looking for Italian or a date night, this is a place to ring up!

Service: 5/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Value for money: 4/5
We had:
1) Mixed Seafood Special (34): this item is on the special menu, it lacks some seasoning and you can really taste the ocean, it's a good amount and recommended
2) Garganelli Ossobuco: if you can't choose, choose this, just can't go wrong!
3) Tiramisu: this is done with lady fingers and a cute love presentation
4) Watermelon Sugar (drink): a nice sweet cocktail
5) Ginger Smash (drink): not as good as the Watermelon Sugar but does the job
6) Complimentary bread, pepperoni and cheddar: not only is it complimentary, but it was good! A definite highlight and I pray that they don't lose it...
7) Complimentary dessert: not sure if this was expected, but it had a nice touch in addition to our tiramisu and will welcome more food always
All in all, this is a place worth visiting and if you can't make up your mind, stop on by and you won't be disappointed!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Aug 4, 2023
Pleasantly surprised by how good the food is here! Went for restaurant week dinner and was impressed with all three courses especially the gamberoni (skewered shrimp with Lima beans).
A couple of slightly annoying aspects of the experience was that the portions were very small so I'm not sure we really saved much money versus ordering the regular menu and splitting. The tiramisu was tiny, like they took one portion and cut it in four.
Though the menu had only two dessert choices, the waitress told us the cheesecake had "sold out", and no they would not be substituting another option. Understandable if it had been late at night, but we put our orders in at 6pm!
Accessibility: there is a large step to enter the restaurant. We sat outside so I didn't inquire about a portable ramp or check out the bathroom. The outdoor dining patio has a small step up. I was able to transfer over by standing but not sure what the plan would be if I hadn't been able to do that.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 81218101Sep 10, 2023
3.5. No issues. I was in during weekend brunch but ordered from the normal menu. They had $26 bottomless mimosas, Bellini's, sangria, etc, which most seemed to purchase. I just had a glass of wine.
It was not too crowded. Service was a bit slow but acceptable. I sat at the bar and thought table spacing was good for the city. Clean bathrooms.
My greens salad was pretty good. Pretty boring but fine.
I had the rosemary chicken with broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was just ok for me. Nothing overly special. I had a similar dish in Paris six months ago for half the price that was much better. The broccoli tasted almost microwaved? Very little seasoning. The gravy was the best part.
Prices were fine for the city. It was a decent experience. No complaints but nothing wowed either.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 27, 2024
I came here with my friends Friday evening after mistakenly booking the location in Hell's Kitchen -- the host kindly seated us anyway, as there were empty tables. The vibes are very intimate, with dim lights and candles, so great for a first date! My friends both got the rigatoni vodka, which they enjoyed, and I got the fettucine bolognese. The bolognese sauce was delicious -- super packed with flavor and the meat was tender and plentiful. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the waitress sprinkles as much parmesan as you want on it. They also gave us free bread to start. I also got a watermelon refresher -- it is refreshing to see a selection of mocktails on the menu, and it was more sour than I expected, but overall fine. TBH I would give 4.5 stars, because the waitress was not super friendly when seating us and when showing us the wine we selected, but service was fast, and I would rather round up for them than down. Overall a good experience!

Convenient location near our office in Chelsea and a really large space for NY. The food was decent and the prix fixe menu is a deal for $25 (Mon-Fri 12-4p).
The 3 stars were primarily because of service. It's like pulling teeth to get our orders taken, our plates picked up, and the next dish to be served. Between when we were seated and when we left, it took 2 hours. I had to go to the bar to pay because asking for the bill didn't seem to work.
It'd be an A-OK experience if you have all the time in the world and aren't worried about the slow service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Loren A.Santa Clara, CA2236628Oct 19, 2023
The food is outstanding! The ambiance is nice.
The service was great. Our server was very attentive and sweet. They brought out a complementary appetizer that included olives, salami, cheese and two types of bread.
We ordered the Branzino and the lasagna, and both were so good. The Branzino was spectacular! It came with vegetables that included artichoke, zucchini, and squash, and to say it was cooked to perfection is an understatement. The lasagna was very authentic, delicious!
After our meal they brought out a complementary dessert (pictures included). Perfection!
This place is a great new addition to the neighborhood. I would definitely return again very soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 22, 2023
I love this place. It would be a great date place or a place to bring my wife. It definitely gives off a romantic vibe. Service was excellent and so was the food. I'm sorry I found this place on my last night in New York. I wish I had found it sooner. After a day of Italian food at the San Genaro Feast, this was probably my favorite food of the day. The lasagna was outstanding, as was the biscotti. They also have a great wine selection. I highly recommend.
