Dennis Kraft is a amazing! He's been my hairstylist for 21 years. I've had a pixie cut to long locks, bleach blond to mahogany, highlights to lowlights. He does it all & does it all well!

His staff is always the most hospitable & fun to be around.

I've referred many a friend who love Dennis & Bob Salon.

If you haven't been, try them out! You'll be so happy you did.

This quaint Salon has a robust and lively atmosphere. Stopped in today to get highlights/lowlights and a cut. Brittany was my Salon Artist. I say Artist because I am over 50 and when I left I felt younger, vibrant and looked 30s again. Everyone is welcoming and cordial. Definitely a hidden gem in the Austin area.

No wonder they have 5 stars the stylist I had was worth them:) the place itself had a good flow and looks deceptively small. Bumble and Bumble products looked like a staple here, a line I read about but have never really used. I purchased some on my way out :)
Payton was my stylist. I was new to town and definitely looked to Yelp to help what can be a very daunting task! You guys killed it:)) Payton is beautiful and confident. Payton took what I already liked about my hair and took it to the next level. The three words I would use to describe my newest cut and color.....I love it;)
Price was what you would expect at a salon.

Let me preface by saying that I have gone to the same guy for my hair for over 10 years. I moved to Austin over a year ago and have been putting off finding someone new. I've been emotionally scarred in the past so this was no small feat. I furiously did research and I came across Michelle at BOB Salon, and I am so happy I found her! She is truly AMAZING! The consultation before we started put me completely at ease. She intently listened to what I wanted and then asked me asked a lot of questions to make sure we were both on the same page. If you've ever left somewhere hating your hair, you know how important it is that you feel like you're being understood, and she definitely made sure of that.

Getting the right blonde is serious business and she freaking NAILED IT! She did a heavy blonde highlight and then also brought up my base color/roots to a lighter shade, so my hair has beautiful dimension. My highlights look phenomenal and the cut is great, too. She totally exceeded my expectations, and I can't even express how much I love it! All the hearts.

If you are looking for a true blonde expert, are looking for someone new after moving, or if you're just looking for an amazing and talented person for your luscious locks, I would recommend Michelle a million times. I am so relieved and so thankful to have found her. I can't wait to go back for more of her blonde magic!

PS I have raved about Michelle, but I also loved the atmosphere of BOB Salon. It's a cool, non-pretentious space. They offered me a beverage as soon as I walked in and made me feel right at home. Thank goodness I've found my "home" hair salon in Austin!

Owner of this place is a poor quality soul I am sent here to install hair wash station, I give estimate and owner tells me to go a head and do work, once I'm almost done he calls in to my employer and starts wanting job done half price then after I refuse because we already reached agreement he says continue work , I'm am 3 connections from finishing job and guy asks me to take my tools and leave I would highly recommend staying away from this guy actions speak volumes , I get paid by the job so since he pulled his crap I am out of money and I have a disabled son a pregnant wife and a house to maintain I guess some people don't bother to care about screwing you over

Dan Logan is still my stylist. I'm very particular about my hair and change it up often. Dan can look at a picture in a magazine I bring in and interpret that style into one that suits me.

I can get in for appointments, there is easy parking. I don't have fight traffic to get there. Dan's stories make me laugh and cry at the same time. He's also a good listener. After one appointment I felt like we were old friends.

Last funny story. First time I was there he not only did a cut and color, but finished up with a great blow out. I'm a Mom and it wasn't date night, so soon my hair was up and I was at the grocery store...where I ran into Dan. He looked at my hair up and sighed. "All that work for nothing." We then laughed so hard I think I peed. (He still blows my hair out when I'm in, but has enlisted my husband, whose hair he also cuts to encourage me to keep it down for the day. Aiming to please, I try to see Dan when we have a sitter that night....

Payton does wonders!!! There's a reason this place gets such high reviews! Expensive, but totally worth it!! I just moved to Austin a month ago and I wanted a new look/stylist.

I got blonde highlights done on my dark brown hair. I also have olive skin. Do you know how challenging it is for a stylist to successfully pull this look off?! Payton definitely delivered! My hubby and friends love my new look too! :)

I brought in a picture to show Payton the look I was going for and she offered expert advice. I originally wanted short bangs, but she advised that longer bangs would look best for what I want--and she was right! Payton is talented, knowledgeable, funny, and super sweet! Glad I found my new stylist!

I've seen my share of hairstylists since moving to Austin. It's been a long, suffering road filled with disappointment after disappointment. Luckily, I found Bob Salon on Yelp but the stylist I saw only once there ended up leaving suddenly. Not a huge heartbreak for me since we hadn't forged a connection. No love lost but I certainly wasn't looking forward to trying another new stylist.

Fortunately, Bob reached out via email letting me know my previous stylist had left and that if I wanted to follow, they'd miss me but if I wanted to try another stylist they'd offer a 50% off discount. The offer was too good to let pass so I scheduled my next appointment with Tricia Lee.

I walked back into Bob with very low expectations and ready to be disappointed again. I'm happy to report, I wasn't disappointed at all. As a matter of fact, I am proud to announce that I have finally found "the one."

Tricia was so easy to talk to. The whole process was easy breezy. I didn't have a nervous stomach at all. Tricia completely put me at ease and when I walked out, I was so happy with the end result.

Originally I talked to her about Balayage but since she didn't have the proper tools for application, she did her own form and it turned out great. It was the great compromise between highlights and my natural dark blonde color.

Tricia really won my trust and I truly look forward to returning.

I kissed a lot of frogs to find my Fitz! This salon is my matching glass slipper. I had an absolutely wonderful experience here Friday. I was at a point where I had been going to a high dollar salon for a couple years and I just wasn't happy with my hair anymore. I had seen several stylists in my search for a new one and they were ok but I was never wowed...

Fitz (at BOB) is 5 stars WOW! He really listens to you and instantly was someone I just trusted. Someone that oozes talent and skill (if that even makes sense). He took a bad haircut job I received the months prior and turned it an amazing, full bodied magazine worthy coif. AND out of all the years people just highlighted my hair with bleach. He actually took the time to choose two complimentary blonde actual colors and alternate them expertly into the most beautiful color job I've received in probably 10 years.

My buying haircut groupon days are over. My blind hair test days are over. Fitz is my prince!

I signed up to Yelp specifically to sing the praises of Payton Kelly. I've never been so happy with my hair before.

First, the salon itself: Bob is beautiful, clean, quiet, and easy to get to. The parking is no trouble at all. The receptionist was courteous and friendly. The price for an ombre with three colors was reasonable, and I liked the product they used - color stays well and did not damage my hair.

As for Payton: I'm so impressed! I had a tricky request - ombre on red hair, with auburn fading to copper to gold ('fire' colors). I also have extremely fine hair, and the length makes it prone to breaking. She had no problem working with my hair type, and accomplished the color task beautifully. Moreover, she chose colors that would fade to the desired effect after a few washes, which was a brilliant idea - my hair has stayed exactly the color I wanted, and it's been almost a month since I got it done!

I highly recommend this salon and Payton Kelly! I can't wait to go back after another month of grow-out.
