Was told the stylist would have to reschedule an hour later. When I arrived there was a wait time of 30 more minutes. When I finally got his attention I was misquoted about the services they offer by the receptionist. Their alternative would have taken several days to receive the product.
Disappointed most with the lack of communication and empathy.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - K K.Boston, MA14114Dec 29, 2012Purchased a Yelp Deal
Ehhhhhhh. I visited Blush on a Thursday. I had a 1 p.m. appointment. I got there on time, but upon checking in, the front desk notified me that my stylist was running behind schedule. OK, I can wait...but then I waited for literally 50 minutes. Argh!
When I finally got in, my stylist apologized for the delay but explained that she had called me and left a message at 12:30 p.m. asking if I could come later in the day. Calling the client a half-hour before to reschedule the appointment? Beh...unprofessional. Also, I had a spa appointment following the hair appointment so now I was in danger of being late to that appt.
The only redeeming part was my stylist--she was really really nice--can't remember her name, maybe Marianne? She gave me what I asked for and did it quickly.
At least the day I was there, Blush had kind of a vacant feel to it--it's a huge salon, but there were no other clients and a bunch of stylists just hanging around checking their phones. Kinda weird. Also, if my stylist was running late, then why didn't one of the other stylists who clearly had nothing to do get me started? I barely made it to my second appointment and just can't recommend this place due to the delay.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie L.Salt Lake City, UT101136489May 31, 2014
My hubby had an important job interview recently and I picked Blush because it was close to our house.
He saw Nick, and he did an amazing job! My husband is pretty non-particular about his hair and gave Nick freedom to do his magic.
He spent a long time with him and did some really nice razor work on his neck and sideburns. He was super sweet as were the girls at the front desk. We will be going back to see Nick soon. so he can have a go at my hair next.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jacie W.Salt Lake City, UT031Jun 9, 2015
My appointment was at 10am. I came in for a simple mani/pedi and the salon was locked when I arrived. I stood outside confused and searching for a number to call, which no one answered. A gentleman arrived moments later and apologized for being late. I was fine with his lack of punctuality, because I understand that life happens, I even made a joke, that I had nowhere to be for 2 hours, and if a mani/pedi takes that long, we have a problem... He then took a few minutes to open the salon, which is understandable. I had shellac on, and wanted to get rid of it. Usually at my regular salon, they wrap your shellac with foils or soak your nails in acetone. The gentleman who was late started my removal, and was seriously struggling to wrap the foils on, and ultimately decided to start filing my nails with an old school nail file, rather than the usual quick electric files I've seen in the past at other salons. The process was slow, and my cuticles were nicked several times in the process, uncomfortable to say the least, and they kept blaming the salon that put my original shellac on. They constantly bashed Asian salons throughout my entire appointment, which rubbed me the wrong way. In the middle of my pedicure, he stopped another technician and asked her to finish my appointment, because he had to run to the bank, which was weird. Both staff members were nice, and I could tell they meant well, but they lacked professionalism and the work done was seriously sub-par. I left with polish all over my toes, my cuticles were not properly trimmed, my nails were cut unevenly, and painfully short. The most uncomfortable part of the whole process was the fact that I did not leave the salon until after 12:15.
It took over 2 hours for a mani pedi!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauren H.Murray, UT06Mar 31, 2012
I LOVE Blush. Not only is it a clean and stylishly decorated place, but it has the friendliest staff!
And the best stylists, too. Nick is incredible and my hair always comes out gorgeous and holds for a few days after a blow out.
After a few visits with consistently amazing results, I can honestly say Blush has a lifelong client.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alisha M.West Jordan, UT34May 14, 2013
Got my lashes done by Annlann Tran. Love my luscious lashes! Reasonably priced, excellent quality, and natural looking; thanks Annlann, you are the best in SLC!

The gentleman that did my mani and pedi was great but it already started chipping the next day (both my nails and toes). My manis and pedis usually last a good week. The salon was very pretty and again the gentle that took care of me was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable the whole time..

I went back YET again. Again, Nic was amazing. My haircut was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. It's kind of rare to find a salon where every single time, you can expect to get exactly the type of haircut you want.

Nov 7, 2011Previous reviewFirst off, let me say that I took a huge risk going to this place. I read the other review before I bought a Groupon to this place, and I was a little scared. But I figured, why not - hair grows.
I had Nick (Nic?) work on my hair. She was amazing!! I told her exactly what I wanted and how much effort I would honestly put into my hair each day. She kept this in mind and did a fantastic job. Even when I was suddenly tempted mid-haircut to go shorter or take a risk with a brand new style, she just reminded me that I was trying to grow out my hair and I did not want to spend a ton of time working on my hair each day (which was what I had told her 10 mins earlier).
I left Blush with a fantastic style which I've managed to maintain on my own. (I hate those haircuts where the stylist leaves you looking amazing, but when you get home, you look like crap and can never figure out how he/she did that!) I would definitely go back here for my styling needs. - Kassy F.Salt Lake City, UT51116Nov 2, 2012
Ellie is so talented, personable and creative. If you need color or of you have curly hair, she knows what to do. I have followed her from 2 previous salons. You will not be disappointed.
