The Blue Moon Cafe offers a large variety of farm fresh vegetables daily. Our all natural baked or fried Chicken is always juicy and delicious ! If you're in the mood for Fish we have it broiled or fried. The Country fried steak is so tender you can cut it with a fork and when paired with fresh creamed potatoes, gravy , green beans and a homemade yeast roll or cheese biscuit you have a meal fit for a King or Queen. We have at least six different meats daily. The Chocolate, Coconut and Lemon pies are made fresh daily and are delightful . If you like Banana pudding ours is made from scratch daily. The warm peach cobbler is a perfect end to a great meal. . All of this in a friendly, casual atmospher. If you're in a hurry The Blue Moon Cafe is perfect because we are a Cafeteria, not only can you see your food before you choose it.....you can get it in a hurry.....we also have the only Drive thru Meat and Three in Montgomery ...

Southern home cooking when you don't feel like to cook it yourself. Came here on a Sunday after church and it was busy but not overwhelming.
I had friend chicken with 2 sides - greens and sweet potato. The chicken was finger sucking good and the sweet potato was heavenly. The greens on the other hand is a little bland. Husband also had fried chicken but with Mac N Cheese & broccoli casserole, both were yummy!!
For $9.99 that's not too bad of a deal!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Iman S.Montgomery, AL815391291Feb 20, 2018
The good news. Everything is delicious and if you have no dietary restrictions you should feel free and safe to eat here.
The bad news. The staff should really be educated more about what's in the dishes to better inform customers when asked. I have certain dietary restrictions, some for my health (food allergies and what not) and some religious. But when asked about the ingredients in certain dishes staff couldn't really tell me or just guessed.
Which isn't great, but I'm glad nothing I'm restricted from is life threatening, but I did have to opt out of quite a few tasty looking dishes. I haven't gone back since, probably never will.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brad S.Homburg, Germany4161403639Jul 6, 2013
I love the cafeteria-style Southern restaurant. Meat and threes open up a world or possibilities, and most of them end up being pretty darn good. Blue Moon Cafe an excellent modern realization of this concept, with a wide open space with lots of tables and plenty of people to help you get your drinks and anything else you'll need. Plus, they're even open for Sunday lunch (though it costs a bit more than the rest of the week).
HOW do these places manage to keep their fried chicken crispy when it's sitting in that hotel pan, waiting for me to pick it up? I'll never understand, but Blue Moon's was awesome, with a crispy crunch that was more airy than some other places I've tried around here. Collards and broccoli casserole were just dandy, too. The carrot salad was sweet enough to work as a dessert, if you weren't so inclined to grab an actual dessert from the buffet line.
As I sat there and ate my Sunday lunch, I watched the stream of people filter in through the door, no doubt coming straight from church and wanting to indulge in the particular speciality that defines this part of the country. Even if the taste of the food hadn't convinced me, I knew from the local support that Blue Moon Cafe is the real deal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Donna L.Orange Park, FL9812Nov 20, 2016

Bread was my favorite thing about my meal here. The food is was good, but nothing to write home about. Good option for a meat and three and portions were big which my hubby liked. If you want some home cooking like your grandmother makes, come here and experience real southern food!

Workers are very welcoming and attentive. Food is good, but not great. Relaxing atmosphere. Meat and three choices are pretty good. Prices are a bit high. Very seldom crowded.

If you have no taste buds, this is the place for you! Can't believe we wasted so much money on yucky food. Not returning.

Everything was amazing!!! The fried chicken was perfectly cooked. The greens were on point as well. Lemon icebox pie was good, o could do without the pieces of lemon zest or something like that in it.
