The prices here for eyeglasses (frames & lenses) are a lot cheaper compared to buying eyewear at the eye doctor. I still have to go to my eye doctor for an eye exam, get a prescription, and bring it to BJ's. Once the frame & lenses are chosen, it takes less than a week to get them (mine were ready in 2 days). The service here is good (the optical manager has straightened out, adjusted, & cleaned my accidently bent glasses on those few occasions at no charge).

I would give Zero stars if I could. I have now had my new glasses for about 2 months, and I can't tell you how much better they are than the glasses I purchased at BJ Optical (Hooksett, now Manchester) a year ago. They never fit me properly, and at the smallest amount of perspiration, they were sliding off my face in every direction. Horrible. The progressive design was hardly ever in the right place, partially because the viewing area was so narrow. The frames broke after about a year after purchase and then again on the other side a week or so later. While I thought I saved a lot of money, my investment was gone after one year, and never worked very well. I discovered with my new glasses just how bad BJ Optical progressives are. The two women who work there are incompetent at best. They might be a deal for simple lenses, but they have horrible progressive glasses. I was fooled because the brand is the very best name for glass photo optics, but is evidently one of the worst for progressive eyeglasses.
