Q:
Is this place kidfriendly?
A:
It's pretty family friendly. Depending on the time or day of the week, it can probably be more inclined to a more mature crowd but even then, having a family dinner wouldn't make you feel out of place.

Oh my gosh, this place was amazing, everything about the food was delicious, our server was wonderful and the atmosphere felt really warm and inviting!!!
We started off with the hummus plate and it was delicious, highly recommend it, and we added cheese curd, which was a great move!
My girlfriend's daughter had the mac & cheese and she absolutely loved it, I snuck a bite and I can see why it had lack of a better description, a smoky flavor, that was so delicious. I had the bean and sweet potato burger and it was wonderful. I had included poutine fries because my girlfriend's daughter had never had them before and she really did like it, she actually wish the gravy was saltier, which is probably not a surprise for a young pallet and it was an easy fix!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 27, 2024
We were in town to play Treefort festival. Our waitress said she was going to come to our show. She didn't.
That's ok cuz she was a good server. And the food was pretty good too. Classic alehouse decor. With wrestling on the tube.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Philip A.Boise, ID0141Jan 24, 2024
Came here on a rainy Monday for lunch and was hoping to grab a bite. I was excited to walk in to what really had an "alehouse" vibe and this place did not disappoint. It was a bit slower which I did not mind at all.
I had the Bittercreek Burger which was recommended to me by a fellow lunch patron. Added bacon and cheddar cheese to the burger and requested the side of fries. The burger was delicious! It had a "saloon sauce" which was fantastic and added some zest. The house-made ketchup was evenly balanced, and I usually do not like ketchup in most instances. They also had a grain-mustard that made things even better for me!
The fries were a bit overcooked, which is normally not a bad thing, except that most of the plate of these were too crunchy to enjoy as a fry.
Overall, I enjoyed lunch. I will come back for a Friday or Saturday dinner service and maybe spend some time at the very long bar. Many options of beers and ciders!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 8, 2024
Came in to eat after a late show. It was 11pm and they close at midnight. I was worried about how things would be at that hour but we were starving so we went anyway. I was blown away with how awesome everything was. They were still running at full speed and service was fantastic. Food and drinks came out in good time and was delicious. It was the perfect cozy spot for us to fill up and warm up after being stuck out in the cold!

I think Bittercreek Alehouse is such a fun spot! They play great music and have a wide selection of beers and mixed beverages. My friend and I went super hungry and it also happened to be happy hour so we ordered their fries and beignets with butterscotch sauce(which I could have drank it was so yummy). We ended up filling up on that and having to get to go boxes for our actual meals but they were also really tasty. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Our server took great care of us as well.

Stopped by here based on the high Yelp reviews.
I ordered one of the popular items... smoked trout salad. Yum! It came with tender greens, pickled onions , egg, abs smoked trout. The salad was perfectly lightly dressed in a vinaigrette.
Simply perfect and refreshing!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jun 16, 2023
Fabulous beer list of local and regional selections!
After a long travel day, a beer sounded great! One turned to two, which turned to three. Nothing to regret here. ;-)
I paired my beers with a spicy lamb burger and poutine fries. Delish! The rest of our group had salads, mac 'n cheese, and burgers. All very good and our server was fab! When you go, ask for Bristol. We had a couple of hungry, needy teenage boys and adults who were beyond parched. She took great care of us.
Located in downtown Boise, the vibe is energetic. TV's throughout with sports everywhere. We loved it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - sammy b.Hayden, ID078Apr 4, 2024
Food was so delicious it was heaven between two buns! We got the wedge salads with our burgers and they were 10/10! Service was great super busy and we still got our food pretty fast. Great community here connected to a few different restaurants that were all super busy. Will definitely recommend!

Great spot. Our waitress messed up one entree (got fish tacos instead of fish and chips). But all of the food was delicious. We loved their outdoor patio and every food item we ordered was fantastic. I would highly recommend the poutine. That was our favorite.
