All Bionic Puppy clients leave for their workout with a patented GPS technology collar allowing pet owners to be part of their dog's workout. Pet Owners can easily download an application to their iPhone, Blackberry or simply log on to their computer to connect to their pet. The technology will show everything from rate of speed to location of the workout. This can be done during or after the workout session. Our experience begins with a private complimentary consultation from company founder Eric J. Gallant. Gallant comes to the initial meeting with research about your animal's breed and age, and spends time with you learning about your pet's history (social, medical, exercise). Bionic Puppy believes in individual attention. It is unhealthy for dogs to be walked in groups. Exercise takes place regardless of weather conditions. Dogs are hydrated with fresh water supplied from trainer's camel back water bladder TM. Dogs given organic treats following workout with owner approval.

Eric and his people have been walking my Siberian Toby an hour a day every weekday for over a year now. I haven't really had any problems. Don't get me wrong, Eric is a pretty weird guy - a body builder turned dog walker is not something I'd ever seen before - but he gets the job done. And the guy and his partner definitely love dogs, so...
Full disclosure, he asked me to write this review. But I'm looking and seeing some pretty irate one star rants up here, and I've gotta say I don't see it. When he falls out of our agreed time window, he lets me know. I get that people get touchy around their pets, and Eric comes on pretty strong, but, again, I don't see it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Crystal D.Manhattan, NY23Mar 14, 2012
Absolutely horrible! Here's a list of everything I experience and am still experiencing with Bionic Puppy.
1) GPS tracking service did NOT work the entire 3 months I used them.
2) I stayed home one day and the walker showed up almost 2 hours after they were supposed to.
3) Eric made a copy of my apartment keys without asking me, and I only found out months later in a conversation with him. He now denies he every said that or made copies.
4) I requested that my dog get a run everyday but instead she was only walked (I can tell by the energy level of my dog when I get home and by the fact that Eric was walking her and he can't run due to an injury).
5) Eric says he always calls people back within 24 hours but it's usually close to three days.
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau about this company and even now, over a month after ending service with the Bionic Puppy, I have only received two of my three apartment keys and Eric now insists that copies of my keys were never made.
Never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service and just blatant lying from a company. If I could give no stars I would.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - M T.New York, NY012Nov 24, 2011
Just like Zoe and AC, I had a terrible experience with Eric and the Bionic Puppy, and would not recommend him to anyone. The GPS tracking service is a sham and Eric himself is the ultimate unprofessional - dishonest, defensive and never on time. He refuses to answer basic customer service questions such as "how was my dog's walk today?" and "what are the correct log-in details to the GPS tracker?" and will quickly turn the tables on you, making it sound as if you were completely unreasonable and out of place for asking such questions. He has a sociopathic personality and does not know the meaning of customer service. Do yourself a favor and find someone else - anyone else - to walk your dog.

I was not pleased with this company at all. I do not recommend them. The owner has a temper and got angry that we didnt purchase a package from him. Very uncomfortable.

Again I would like to offer a free walk to anyone who would like to try our service and see how professional and kind we are. References are absolutely available.

Horrible, horrible customer service! Owner is combative, and a compulsive liar. The GPS never works, it is a scam. My biggest problem is that for the short time I was with them, my dog kept getting sick, and was nervous around any non-family that came over. Strangely, once I stopped this terrible service, no more getting sick. Also, it has been a few months now with a totally different service and my dog is no longer skittish around non family. It was definitely something they were doing.

I had a very negative experience with bionic puppy. In at least one instance no one showed up to walk my dog. The owner tried to make it seem like I was unreasonable when I would ask him basic questions like, "Did you come today?" The GPS system never worked for me. Or perhaps it did work...but it said my dogs had not been walked.. At first the owner seemed really nice, but perhaps he overextended himself with his living social offer, because by the end of my experience with him he was bizarrely rude and unprofessional, accusing me of "browbeating" him when I would ask him for information about my dogs. I would not recommend this service to anyone who wants a reliable, hassle free dog walker.

Zoe was great at the beginning, she complained and yes I took it as her being rude and I told her I can accomplish more if she would just be nice. Every day she would have another problem. She asked if last minute can we take her dogs out so in a gesture of kindness in the hope of smoothing things out I quickly looked to squeeze her in. We only had 1 pm I emailed her to tell her after we walked her dogs and she said "absolutely not it must be after 2!" This was just one reason I didn't think it was going to work out. Her dog was injured so she wanted him walked separately, then brought back in and the other walked. I knew it would take extra time. We did our best and yes I feel she was a client who would be better off with a different company. I refunded all of her money. She didn't take rejection well. This is unacceptable she said and berated me telling me she would bad mouth me to everyone. What i'm saying is This is small sample of what yelp posts. I've had awesome clients write only to have it never show up on here. I have a section on my website with other client comments. I love all feedback because it shows i'm a real company that has real clients. I could have friends write fake postings but this is better. People are colorful. Let's face it theres just no pleasing everyone. It's not possible. How many times have you read bad movie reviews only to see the movie and love it! Or read a bad review on Yelp but have used the place before and never ever had a problem. I tried my best I think the important thing is that I refunded her money when I saw it wasn't working I was reliable.

I used Bionic Puppy for two weeks while i was working abroad and my wife was at home. Eric walked the dogs at the agreed times, even on the weekends and the dogs seemed well cared for and happy with him. I didn't use the GPS tracker so I can't say if it worked or not but I would probably use his services again.

YIKES- Most of these reviews are right on par with what I experienced. I also purchased the Living Social deal and the first time I spoke with Eric he seemed perfectly nice (a little odd maybe, but nice). Well we agreed on a time for him to come and meet my dogs, but he never showed. I called and asked if he was coming, at which time he apologized profusely, said he had been up all night and he was delirious, and said it would never happen again. So we set up another time for him to come over, but when that time came and he was already 20 minutes late, I called to see if he was coming. He told me he was stuck in traffic and it would be another half an hour. I told him to forget it- at this point he had broken 2 appointments- I can't leave my dogs in the hands of someone so unprofessional, even if it means I have to eat the money I paid him. Personally I think he's a scammer or something and if you're smart you won't give him any money up front. In fact, I may contact the Better Business Bureau and if you've been had by Eric you should do the same.

I really am sorry there was such a problem I was told living social refunded your money. I am not a thief. I was so overwhelmed with living social sales sadly peoples calls were not returned and I was not the best i could be. I have worked hard to fix this and correct my mistakes. I would really appreciate people reconsidering the feedback. I understand people are upset but i sincerely didn't mean to miss appointments. I tried to call to reschedule, I hired more employees the gps does exist and i'm happy to not only refund any living social money if it wasn't already refunded but a free walk to show you how the business was meant to operate. Thank you for your opinions. Yes they are hard to read and make me sad but i know i can fix it.
