I met a friend at BIGGIE'S on January 3rd for lunch and the experience is always satisfying!
BIGGIE'S is located at 430 Route 17 South in Carlstadt and today I had the Shrimp Avocado Salad ($29.25) along with a Iced Tea ($3).
The interior is tastefully New Jersey with many pictures of Garden State icons and alike and the help is excellent as Camryn who served our meal was friendly and attentive to detail.
Centrally located in South Bergen there menu is quite extensive and this is a great place to catch a game or stop by after going to Met Life.
BIGGIE'S is a reliable place for lunch or dinner and a great sports bar venue.
RECOMMEND.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 5, 2019Previous reviewHad not been here for some time, Brother was in the house!
My friend had the Italian Hot Dogs and I had the seafood salad and we both had Arnold Palmer's!
Both were excellent!
Plenty of parking, all the waitresses are customer friendly, courteous and eager to please.
The price is right and this location is easy to find with plenty of televisions to watch a game.
If you're in South Bergen and would like a guaranteed winner for drinks, clams, seafood, burgers or Italian, this is the stop!
Highly recommend! - Dec 18, 2023
Love this place.
From their seafood pasta, to wide selection of Oysters, and chicken wings. This place is not just your ordinary sports bar, but amazing seafood restaurant.
I highly recommend the Seafood with Lobster Cream Sauce that comes with shrimp, scallops and mussels simmered in a homemade lobster cream sauce served over jasmine rice (I got it with pasta instead of rice).
The staff is always helpful and attentive.

The food was excellent. I had the rib eye steak was juicy and delicious. The sautéed Broccoli Rabe was cooked to perfection and fill of flavor. My boyfriend had the Shrimp Po Boy sandwich which he said exceeded his expectations and the fries were perfect, not greasy or over/undercooked. We found our new spot. We passed this place and always saw the parking lot full and now we know why. The food is phenomenal. The server was excellent and the atmosphere was clean and cozy. We will definitely be back again.

Amazing busy sports bar is what I would call it. This restaurant serves the best clams, oysters, mussels, meatballs and garlic cheesesteak sandwich you'll ever taste. The owners and staff walk around and have you feel like you're family. TV's wherever you look and the bar is really happening and if you want to see fresh clamshells opened right in front of you before you devour them sit at the clam bar where you see right into the open CLEAN kitchen. Amazing atmosphere to enjoy. Go Go to Biggie's ASAP and take advantage of the best happy hour around. ENJOY!!

Finally came to biggies after years of being told it's amazing.
Food: food was good, clams are obviously the selling point and they were VERY fresh. The burger was a little bit more than average, but it was good experience overall.
Aesthetic: I love all the pictures on the walls, a lot of space, and definitely I could imagine it being good for sports games.
Service: the service was a little meh. The girl only came over three times the entire interaction.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Melanie C.Cairo, NY116278Mar 2, 2024
My go to place on the way to the city for the weekend! I hate showing up hungry and looking for somewhere to get a quick bite before a late dinner. Biggie's is perfect for what I needed. The food is consistently good. Had the lobster roll and it was fantastic.

Love this place on the 1st go!
Spacious, warm, friendly staff. I got a homey sense here. This is a place where regulars go when they want good food and good environment yet away from home.
We had great sized portions, full of flavor and enough left to take to go. I'm a big fan of bread and butter before the meal and there was plenty. Yes, I asked for seconds.
We did Lobster Bisque - come in a bread bow. Lobster Roll -- Steak w/ Fries and drinks. Couldn't have asked for a more cozy feel w/ yummy food than this - especially as it was a rainy day.
Would love to return and have more of the goodness on their expansive menu. Lots of TV's around could also make a great game night out.

The food is always amazingly fresh. EAT THE MUSSELS IN WHITE SAUCE!!!! They are the finest I have ever had. No lie.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Jun 14, 2018Previous reviewAlways the freshest clams on the half shell and oysters. They taste like fresh out of the water. After my one weird experience with the little oyster crabs never had a problem again. The mussels in white wine is a MUST have. Fresh mussels cooked in a butter and white wine broth with tomatoes and onion and bread to dip. It's to die for. I have gotten more people hooked on Biggies with that entree than any other. The seafood fiesta with the pink sauce is loaded with seafood -- clams, scallops, shrimp, mussels. The lobster roll is a favorite of ours. The beer selection is fabulous.
May 16, 2018Previous reviewWe have gone back to Biggies many times since my experience with the oyster crabs. The raw clams and raw oysters are always phenomenal. They taste fresh from the ocean. I've never had a bad experience again. The food is always reliable and the service is great. It's our go to. Have the mussels in the white wine sauce with bread to dunk. I've gotten more people hooked on Biggies because of that dish than any other.
Jan 31, 2014Previous reviewOkay this is REALLY so gross. We went because I was craving oysters. I are one and got some weird stringy thing in my teeth and pulled it out thinking must have been just some weird inner part of oyster. Next one same thing. Then I decided to look closer at it before eating next one. YECH!! Found a CRAB walking around. Yes a tiny little LIVE crab. I posted to photos section. It. Was about the size of my pinky nail. So yes I bit into two before seeing the third walking and moving on my plate. I complained. Waitress was grossed out and horrified. Manager comes over and says oh yeah that's normal but usually we pull them out in the kitchen. Must be a new guy. I was like huh?!? I googled it. Called an oyster crab. I don't care who eats them or how fresh. I don't want one on my plate and in mouth. He didn't seem the least bit concerned and did not offer to comp them or give us anything. I can't even begin to think of eating one again. Not can all my friends to whom I sent the video of it crawling on my plate. If I could upload video I would. Shame on the manager
Aug 31, 2013Previous reviewI really hate to do this to Biggies because I really love the fresh oysters. But for a place that prides itself on the fresh raw bar food it is shocking to me that EVERY time we order the raw oysters we need to send them back because they are full of grit. They NEVER rinse the shells off before they shuck them so all the grit on e outside ends up on the oyster once it is shucked. This is shellfish on the half shell 101. I have complained so many times and it still happens that I am giving them a bad review now. Maybe they will make the quick fix. Because that is what it is
