I love Beverly's. I go there whenever I am in the coastal areas or Modesto or Sacramento. I have been to at least 5 different ones and they are all great. Plenty of craft stuff, beads, mosaics, knitting, books for all your crafts and even sweet furniture pieces like shelves or side tables.

But I love it most for fabrics. One of the few chain places where you can buy quality fabrics like Moda, RJR, Riley Blake, Hoffman, and many, many colors of solid Kona cotton. Great coupons when you get on their mailing list. If you love sewing and quilting this is a must go place. Better quality fabrics than Jo-Ann's. And don't miss flat fold Friday!! And the $5 fabric discount table!!!

Old school craft store for those wanting something different than what Michaels or JoAnn's offers.

I needed to transform a plain hat into one worthy of a "Derby," so we wandered up and down the isles of Beverly's to get some inspiration. After going back and forth with a couple of ideas, we ended up buying some tulle, a spool of decorative wired ribbon, lots of feathers, and a gigantic flower.

I had to wait what seemed like a long time for one of the two ladies at the cutting table to acknowledge me. One woman was actually helping another customer, but the one who ended up cutting my fabric was just cleaning up. I don't know why her cleaning took precedence over helping a customer, but it did.

As we were heading up to the register, my friend spotted some cute Yo Gabba Gabba fabric, so we took that to the table to be cut. Thankfully we did not have to wait a long time for this second cutting. Beverly's honored a competitor's coupon we had on the phone.

We happened to be in the neighborhood, so this Beverly's ended up providing what we needed, but I wouldn't make a special trip to come here. I actually found a better group of artificial flowers at Michael's so, I will return the one I bought at Beverly's. Hopefully their return process is painless. We'll see...

Ugh, I always dread coming here. Ever seen the movie Zootopia, where that cartoon sloth at the DMV does everything SO PAINFULLY slow? This is the real-life version of that.

The fabric here is really limited an granny-style only. Other crafting supplies are also limited. I can only assume the staff are good people...but they seem to go out of their way to avoid making eye contact with customers. Did I mention? So. Freakin. Painfully. SLOW! Waiting at the cutting counter is tortuous and there is usually only like 1 customer in line. I needed a rotary cutter today, which you have to get from an associate, and when I asked I was told to wait...after like 5 minutes I gave up. You really shouldn't have to wait in the cutting service line for basic products that should be shelf-ready.

If this store goes out of business, I won't blink an eye. I can't imagine them being very profitable. Then again other fabric stores in San Jose are both rare and crappy...so it's kind of like choosing between paying taxes and a colonoscopy. Order online when you can.

I needed to make penguin costume for Halloween. A low budget penguins that I was planning to make out of a hooded sweatshirts, felts and google eyes. I went to this Beverly's as the other Beverly's on Bascom was closed and turned into a furniture store. When I enter this place it made me wonder if this Beverly's is also closing... Inside is much smaller, darker, and items are not as organized. To make matters worse, there is no sign for each row so you have to walk around to find what you are looking for.

Fabric selections are okay, they have the basic materials but there was nothing that stimulated my imagination. I'd go to Hancock fabric at the Westgate Mall or Joann's for fabrics. Price for other craft items seemed to be the same or higher compared to Michael's.

Way better than your standard Michael's fabrics & craft store.

I've been here a few times to put together some gifts for the SBBF on special occasions.

I like the super wide variety of all sorts of knick knacks you can use to create your own project here.

They have special deals going on sometimes, so when you purchase something it could be a few dollars less than the original tag price. Pretty sweet!

Staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the place is never packed.

This is a solid choice if your kids have craft ideas or school projects or costume needs.

The store is somewhat messy, but the employees are nice and help you find what you need or solutions to complete your goal.

It is also good stocked for different holidays which is also nice.

Large fabric selection that's organized. The employees are helpful and friendly. If you go to their website, they have daily fabric deals with free shipping to the store. They will also mail coupons each month.

Oh, and always a huge selection of sale and clearance fabrics.

They also have lots of craft supplies.

Awesome! Great selection. Awesome guest service. Really clean and well organized. After visiting Michael's earlier today, this was a huge relief! Michael's is so dirty, strangely laid out, and the only service is to take your money. Thank you Beverly's on Hillsdale for being awesome.
