Best Western Fairfax

When we checked in it was already in evening. After checking in went to grab dinner and returned to hotel tired. When we actually got into the room. It was not clean. There were bugs everywhere in the room and spiders on the wall and stains on the sinks. Also ac didn't function properly. We called the front desk but they weren't helpful at all and front desk receptionist was very rude.

We stayed at this Best Western for a NoVa wedding in September 2023. The property is dated, with old rooms, lumpy beds and musty smells. Our room never got cleaned and it took a while to even get toiletries replenished.

Our room also had little to no hot water.

Breakfast was respectable.

I have stayed at this place for two night. OMG... it was very nice, very clean place and the most amazing, inviting, warm feeling. I just love this place. Obviously place you come again.

FUI ROUBADA PELO HOTEL!
No dia 04/09/23 dei entrada neste hotel e fui informada pelo funcionário, de que não recebiam cash! Entreguei meu cartão de crédito para pagamento e o mesmo disse que cobraria um depósito de 10 dólares e que este seria estornado. Nesse ínterim, o mesmo funcionário "resolveu" receber o cash! Tal foi a minha surpresa, ao ver cobrado no cartão:a diária que já havia sido paga(117,01) em cash, mais 2 vezes a mesma quantia no cartão de crédito! A gerente Mandy foi contactada, mas parece não ter a menor intenção de resolver a situação de "roubo"; uma vez que a consulta às câmeras+ os registros no meu cartão, seriam facilmente checáveis!
Mas não acabou aí, no dia 12/09, eu estava dormindo na casa da minha filha e o meu cartão foi novamente passado no hotel( 03:57am)no
mesmo valor($117,01)! Fui ao hotel no dia seguinte e um funcionário me informou que, a gerente Mandy foi quem fez esta e as outras cobranças! Pergunta: Como alguém, no caso, a gerente de um hotel, utiliza e faz transações em um cartão, sem o conhecimento e o consentimento do titular, cobrando por um serviço, que sequer foi prestado??!!
O nome disto é ROUBO!
Para resolver a situação, tive que entrar em contato com o meu Banco no Brasil e contestar as transações, bem
Como cancelar o cartão! Ou seja, estou no exterior e sem cartão, por causa desse absurdo, praticado pelo Hotel Best Western Fairfax.
Ontem( 15/09)fui ao hotel e a dita gerente ( que nada resolveu via telefone) foi incapaz de um pedido de desculpas e ou explicações convincentes ( ainda que eu ache que seja impossível)!
ALERTA: NÃO USEM CARTÃO DE CRÉDITO NESTE HOTEL e, se possível, procurem um estabelecimento idôneo!

Best Western is a basic,budget chain and this location is no exception. Check in took a very long time even though I was next In line for at least 10 minutes. It was made even longer by the fact my room card didn't work so I had to go back to the front desk for a new card. The room was clean and comfortable. There's a pool but it was prior to Memorial Day and it wasn't open. Parking is free in the lot. Breakfast was meh- scrambled eggs,sausage,bacon,pastries,cereals,bagels,yogurt, juices, and of course, coffee. The room was spacious so it never felt crowded. There are several restaurants nearby and many can be walked to for dinner. I had no complaints during my visit and the rate was really good. I'll stay here again the next time I need a local hotel.

The only reason I stayed at this dumpy place was because it had a pool. From the permanent metal sign it's clear it's been closed forever and the website was not updated to make that clear. Stay at the residence in down the road instead. I definitely would have had they told me the pool was closed. Also the air conditioning does not work well.

Good place to stay . Great breakfast but since I've been in truck driving school we have a problem with checking in at night with the woman who works over the counter . The other two men we come straight in with no problems and no authorization form to sign . She's gives us a hard time and we have to wait 30 mins to an hour to be put in a room that's already paid for .

Stayed at this place just overnight, I was mostly satisfied with our room. Except, for the fact that there was a random dried up lime behind one of the night stands. It makes me feel like the room look neat and tidy, but certain areas that aren't seen aren't kept up to par.

Our friends stayed at the room next to us and they mentioned the sheets being dirty in certain spots almost like someone had stepped on them.

Edit*- The following day I found a 4.3/5 star hotel about 30 minutes away from this one and they charged me the same. The price for this Best Western was not worth it.

Really nasty hotel. I had to switch my room 2x at midnight. First room were no TV, they moved me to another room with spider nest over the wall ( see picture) I wish i can tell the city to shut down this hotel ASAP. I wish i can five zero star.

Beware of the charging practices of this hotel ...

The room was fine, clean enough, etc. I booked this hotel for my son to stay one night. He checked out and the hotel charged us for an extra night, and at a higher rate. My son told me that he checked out a little late, but the front desk clerk told him it was ok. He returned both keycards. They didn't offer him a receipt.

We noticed the extra charge a couple of days later. The hotel said that they would investigate and get back to us, which they never did. When I called again, they said that someone else stayed in the room and they would not refund the charge. Someone may have stayed in the room, but it certainly wasn't my son. When I called a third time telling them that I was going to have to dispute the charge, they took it as a threat and hung up on me. Never staying here again...
