This store is just a sad, empty shell of what it once used to be. Roughly 20 years ago or a little more when it first opened it was an amazing place to come to. Right next-door was circuit city and it also was awesome to come to.
But as time goes on things change, and it's those things that do not learn to adapt and evolve that will soon die out. Circuit city shut down its store, and as of 2023 I look for this store to eventually shut down in the next few years.
When you first come into the store, most of the shelves are just empty. You're not given the impression that it's crammed pack with the latest tech and electronics. The employees and I know it's not good to judge others. They are just there for a paycheck, and they would rather not work and earn it.
In fact, it might do the public some good if the store would just go ahead and close. My last two encounters with this place was very unsatisfactory. Their website claimed to have an item that I was looking for in stock at their Paducah Kentucky store so I drive 80 miles one way to come pick the item up and it's not in the store.
Gasoline currently, as of February 2023 is not cheap, and I don't make a lot of money per month so when I have to make a trip, I have to choose so wisely. When I arrive to the store, the employees could've cared less and they showed no concern whatsoever which I find completely disrespectful. I decided this would be the last time that I shop at the store.
I really hate to say it, but the Paducah Kentucky store is a place that your grandparents come to to buy a VCR. They seem to just carry the very basic electronics or appliances and that is it.
So if you want an AM/FM radio, a new washer, dryer, refrigerator, and a very limited selection of TVs, the Best Buy at Paducah, Kentucky is the place to come to.
Like I said, the store is a place that your grandparents come to buy a cordless phone or a VCR.
This occurrence happened to me in the beginning of January 2023.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Pam R.KY, KY01May 16, 2023
Forget calling your local Best Buy to resolve a problem because you will have to go to an automated system that has "agents" to speak to you about your concerns. The problem is no one can answer your question and you go in circles trying to resolve an issue (mine was return for a TV. I purchased a bigger TV that is was supposed to be delivered and installed while picking up the return) when they brought new TV installation had been left off. And so the saga began. I can not speak to anyone who can help me.... Call the local store it sends me to an automated service and the circle continues... if you want help my suggestion would be to go to the store directly ... customer service is non existent

For two days, I have been calling the Best Buy location in Paducah KY to ask a question that will literally take someone 30 seconds to answer. Apparently, Best Buy now has a call center overseas that accepts all calls for all stores. They allowed me to request a call back from someone at that store, then today I called a third time and was told they cannot request someone there to call back. What kind of business has no phones in store for a customer to call? I earn a living making calls to customers all day, and I can't imagine working somewhere where the phone never rings. Is the phone bill too high? Is Best Buy so busy they can't keep up with inbound calls? Everytime I've been in store, it's a ghost town, so I don't think they are overwhelmed. Customer service is a joke. I seriously never leave bad reviews. I'm just not that guy. This has been a horrible experience that's spanned two days. If a store phone works, my question would have been answered quicker than any of the three times I've gone through their call center and automated service, and waited on hold. Best Buy is definitely not a store we will visit for anything. If you work there, seek a better job... unless you enjoy slow days and no phones ringing. 0 stars was not an option, for the record.

I had a very positive experience at this location this past Sunday afternoon. Jeff went above and beyond to help me. I came in asking about a router to help fix my internet issues, and Jeff gave me a whole list of other things to check (in addition to the new router) to try and get it running smoothly again. He was incredibly helpful, and my internet issues have been resolved. Thank you Jeff!

I purchased a laptop from the Paducah, KY store on 4/1/23, and the representative from Geek Squad told me that the laptop could be upgraded to 64GB of Ram. I thought that was rather high, but he assured me that he was correct. So, I ordered the laptop and 64GB of RAM. Come to find out, after receiving the laptop, that the laptop would only upgrade to 16GB. On top of that, the 64GB of RAM ordered was for a desktop! In addition, the laptop was actually on sale for nearly $200 cheaper, but this was corrected over the phone with customer service. However, I had to go to the store to get a copy of my receipt since they could not change my email address for some reason. I had to make two 90-mile round trips to get this mess taken care of. Also, on the first trip, the salesman who sold me the incorrect RAM said he would talk with the manager and that they sometimes issue in-store credits for the inconvenience - once I bring the 64GB of RAM back to the store for a refund. However, the manager on duty told me that they don't do that. Never again. Please do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! What A Joke!!!!

As a father of 8, I wind up at Best Buy fairly often. I like it because I can get to it without actually going into the mall...always a plus.
They really do have most everything, in fact, maybe they have too much. It usually takes me a while to find everything. I would just ask an employee for help finding things, but they are either busy or not interested. Once you find your stuff, the prices are actually solid. Comparing to Walmart, Kmart, and other Paducah locations, Best Buy is likely to have the best deal. It's even as cheap as most online places. I'm never really looking for big ticket items, I look for cheap accessory-type things. Stores like Best Buy feel like the are more directed towards the $1000 items, not the $50 items, so maybe that's why I have trouble finding stuff!
This time of year, you will probably have to wait a few minutes to check out, but where is that not the case?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob M.San Francisco, CA21Nov 20, 2020
No customer service. I mean no customer service..... I live over an hour away and bought a complete appliance package over $12,000.00. I have tried to call for the last 2 days regarding and they will NOT answer the phones. I asked my mother in law to drive by and ask them to put the dishwasher on the truck with the delivery the next day. They said they would and of course they did not. I looked on my Best Buy app to locate the order number for the dishwasher since I placed it separately and it has been removed. Since I can't call them I will be driving up.. Had hip replacement surgery 2 weeks ago and I can't wait to limp in there and tell them to come get everything out of my house!!!

I am angry with Best Buy . We bought a new tv from them and scheduled a delivery and set up date. I got an automated call last night reminding me of the delivery time. I was called again this morning telling me that it would be delivered between 8 and 1. About 1:30 this afternoon we got a call from the delivery person who was supposed to deliver the tv. He had an emergency and couldn't make the delivery. I called the Best Buy in Paducah, Ky to reschedule delivery. After waiting several minutes someone answered. I told him of our plight and he finally said the soonest I can schedule you will be next week. We made our purchase on October 30th 2020. At that time, we were given November 5th as delivery date. Now it's going to be another weeks wait! I said a bad word and gave the phone to my husband . Husband said to cancel the whole deal and refund our money. Their customer service is still way less than satisfactory.

Terrible customer service! So few customers but nobody could help us choose a sound bar. We waited for 30 minutes and requested help three times. The man in the department was socializing with another employee
