      Came to this location today to buy a speaker and the service by the employees on duty around 3pm was terrible.

      Waiting for help, nobody came. Went to ask someone and they said to go and wait back by the speakers and someone will be right over. I stood there for 20 minutes and nobody came. Instead, they were all busy chatting and joking with each other. It wasn't even busy.

      After 20 minutes I walked over to the checkout and they said "someone will help you by the speakers". I told them I'd already been waiting close to 30 minutes. Eventually someone went to get the speaker for me so I could leave.

      Employees in this location are the worst in Chicago.

      Extremely rude staff. The manager of the store Jonathan Ware racially discriminates and is only interested in kicking non-white people out of the store. The 4 times I've been there it is always empty and someone gets kicked out. Today it was my turn.
      Went in to request a power cord that was not provided with the dishwasher best buy replaced for me. I placed the repair request on the 28th of December and just received a replacement yesterday and that too without a power cord.
      Went to this store to request a cable, and the first and only response was to call the 1800 number and when I asked to speak to the manager, they called security and I was shown the door.

      Made an appointment days in advance to fix my phone. Pam called a couple of hours before giving me an ambiguous reason for cancelling as they didn't have staff and/or parts. I asked why they hadn't notified me earlier and was told the system takes the reservation without consideration of staff or other variables(!!!) as if that's better. When I asked when I would be able to reschedule she said she couldn't help me. Clearly.

      Was in the area - stopped by to pick up a lock that i saw was on sale. Asked if they price matched Home Depot - they said yes but that wouldn't honor it at check out because it wasn't in stock. Ended up ordering on Amazon for $30 less and delivered same day. Really frustrating.

      If I could give this location zero stars, I would! I visited the store with my dad last weekend to purchase a new TV & gain more information on how to mount it in my apartment. I was utterly appalled by the customer service we received from Sean (dark hair, glasses) in the TV department and cleanliness of the store. Sean was extremely sexist, disrespectful, arrogant and refused to assist me unless my dad was present in the conversation. The TV department was a mess with loose cords, used cardboard boxes and dirty shelves. Sean did not listen to our wants/needs at all and continuously cut us off mid sentence in attempt to up sell. His selling technique is inefficient, annoying and I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere (or to a different Best Buy location). Visiting this store is a total waste of time and 100% not worth it.

      Today I was super impressed with the service and care received at Best Buy on North Avenue in Chicago. I was helping a fellow elder transition into a newer laptop and we met with a great guy, Eren, earlier in the week. What a treat to find such a conscientious guy who was patient, not pushy, not trying to oversell my friend, and spent at least 40 minutes with us. Today was the same, and better yet, within hours they had completed the data transfer and set up from her old desktop system! Eren deserves an award as he could not have treated us better!

      This review is for the delivery and installation of a new stacked washer/dryer unit. I purchased online and did everything listed to prep for the install, including having my plumber install a new gas shutoff valve and check the water valves. Best Buy shows up a few days later and refuses to install (or even just deliver) my new w/d. They claimed my water shutoff valves were corroded and weren't working properly. When I pointed out that my plumber was *just* here a few days ago and confirmed everything was ready to go, they just shrugged and continued to refuse to deliver my appliances.

      It gets worse. When this happens, Best Buy doesn't let you reschedule right away. You have to wait until your appliance is returned to the warehouse and then a new email/text is generated "within 24 hours" that provides a link for rescheduling. This was on a Saturday, so of course a ton of appointments got filled up while I waited. A text finally showed up at 8am Sunday morning, and the soonest I could reschedule for was Thursday morning. When I called to ask if they could come back sooner, they had nothing to offer.

      One more thing: I could see my box on the truck because I bought a combined washer/dryer. It was leaning precariously on other boxes at a pitched angle, as if it had been left unsecured and was just lolling around in the back of the truck as they went between appointments. This is not what I want to see with a $2500 purchase!!

      My plumber (different person from the same company) came out AGAIN today and once again confirmed that these water valves are working just fine. I asked if I should preventatively replace them to extend their life, and he didn't even think that was necessary. So why did Best Buy refuse to deliver my w/d and create a huge, potentially expensive headache for me?? My gut tells me the crew just didn't feel like doing their jobs.

      Bottom line: I'll never again arrange an appliance delivery from Best Buy.

      I go here for movies and computer parts sometimes. The place is generally nice, but the security guard was super rude recently and kicked me out for accidentally falling asleep on the demo recliner. He asked if I was on drugs in a kind of condescending tone, even after I explained that I just didn't sleep well the previous night. Plus, he kicked me out during a day where Chicago is listed as having the worst air quality in the world, and as someone with notable lung issues, I explained my issue and asked him if I could stay inside until a ride could pick me up and he refused. Overall, it heavily soured my experience with an otherwise fine store.
