Berman & Kandel

Excellent work - made the process so easy and smooth,
I would definitely recommend them to a friend. Also such great presence - I found Berman & Kandel via twitter. Cortney was such a great help!

I got involved with Berman & Kandel after attending one of their open houses. I never actually met Debra or Pat although the former is recorded as the buyer agent of record on the house I purchased. I worked with their assistant Stephanie (DRE #01833082 expired). Stephanie offered to contact a plumber and electrician for quotes based off the inspection report, and then we totalled everything. Even though the seller was selling the house "AS IS" she acquiesced when we requested a repair credit, and I got most of what I asked for.

Unfortunately, I took Stephanie's word for it when she said she had called an electrician, and instead of paying hundreds of dollars for having my electrical wiring cleaned up, I had to spend thousands to get the entire house rewired. The person she contacted was not even licensed. He specializes in roofing. That is what he told me when I telephoned him.

Either she didn't know what she was doing, or she outright lied to me. If that is the kind of service someone gets with Berman & Kandel, I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
