I get my brow & lip waxing done here.  It's in a convenient location and I can always get an appointment the same day.  The girls are all sweet and they try to make you look the best you can be.

HOWEVER, there are some girls there who are too heavy-handed when applying makeup on you.  I've walked out of there at 11 in the morning looking like I should be dancing on the bar at Asia SF.  It depends on who's working.  For the most part, I don't mind them playing with colors on my face.  I don't ever feel pressured to buy something.

I go to this Benefit for waxing my stache and my brow.  I love that I can call the day of and get the appt. I want.  I love that they are very sensitive about my sensitive skin and glob on the boo boo stuff.
I don't like that they let dogs in-I don't know why I feel this way-unsanitary maybe?
I very rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes. Star off because I have waited up to 20 minutes once or twice.
The last time I was there I got my eyelashes tinted and although it is a surreal experience--I kinda went into a trance--it was totally worth it.  
They have also taken returns happily and exchanged an empty box they had sold me for one with an actual product in it.

Got some gifts from a girlfriend of mine for Christmas, and went in to do some returning.  Apparently she thinks I like frosty colors A LOT!

The girls in there are sweet as sugar pie and let me do as I pleased for about 20 minutes on New Years eve.  Got some amazing Lip Gloss and Mascara for the big event.

Totally hassle free return sans receipt.  

Although, later that evening a certain boy who shall remain nameless tried to tell me my eyelashes looked STUCK TOGETHER.

If my eyelashes could have become unstuck, he would have gotten my evil death stare...

"What?  I am just an honest person."
"Uh?  Did you want your midnight kiss?"
"You look very beautiful tonight."
"Right...  That's what I thought you said."

I don't care about the truth.  Just tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies.

I'm sorry - so sorry.  The girls who work here are mostly adorable, which is a good thing for benefit, because sucker-sweeties like me will end up buying an overpriced lip gloss or spending a whopping $18 on eye-brow waxing just because the sales girls are so charming.  

Benefit makeup is all about it's marketing.  The packaging, the cutie-pie names and individual products are one of a kind, but uniqueness does not equal quality and certainly does not equate value.  

If you want to be charmed into spending way too much money on totally mediocre makeup, this particular Benefit store is for you.  The girls know they are in the heart of Spend-for-the-Thrill-Mill-Valley, and they will apply glitter, dip your lips in gloss, and chat about their fav bars with you til you walk out (as I have, several times) with makeup you will end up regretting purchasing.  

On the other hand, if you are in the mood for girly retail therapy, it's perfect!

Okay see here's the thing.

I am a regular here, and by that I mean waxing at least once or twice a month.

One of my favorite parts of this place is chatting with the awesome sales girls while getting my services done. Anything from boyfriends to date spots in Napa..you name it we've covered it.

But last time I was in here, I found out there is an entire batch of new girls and all of the older ones have left : ( And many of them went over to Milvali salon. I might have to start switching to over there!

I love Benefit because let's face it, I don't like tons of make-up. Theirs always feels light and the colors are great. The girls there are fantastic and I always love how I look when I leave. I always buy at least a lip gloss and some eye shadow. I also had the best bikini wax ever, and I have had several, by Erin. I have earned enough points for a free brow wax and I could not be happier.

You should also go to benefit to get your waxing done. Whether I am going for eyebrows or I need to...ahem...get right...Benefit is a great deal and has some talented aestheticians. Vanessa, my number one choice, has kept my eyebrows topnotch for about 2 years now. Lisa is also extremely talented.

Just don't get suckered into buying tooooo much makeup from the nice girls dabbing boo-boo zap on your brows, ok?

Waxing services get a 5 star - most the girls are very thourough and take there time to get all those scragglers, but I am so over the hard sell of make-up everytime I go in - even when I tell them I just want to pay for my wax and get the hell out of there, they still insist on caking up my face. I do like their products and do buy make-up here every once in awhile, but I want to flip out on those girls who go into their car salesmanesque schpeel every time I go in there about how my life would be so much better and brighter with lip gloss.
