Five stars based on value and the experience. Always a good value and friendly folks.
I have been playing these links for over a decade. It has become my favorite spot based on location, value, staff and being an unpretentious club.
2019 celebrates 49 years in business; family owned third generation now. Obviously doing something right. Its a well run and maintained course. No frills nor impeccable fairways, but decent and a great value. Just an awesome home course with great customer service; giving opportunity to play many times throughout the season without breaking the bank.
Investment is ongoing into the club. Last year new power carts, this year new pull cart caddies. I noticed drainage work being done my first round out in '19. You can find a bathroom as well as portable johns amongst the 27 holes.
The clubhouse has a bar and eats. I haven't eaten here yet, one day I will. Check the website for fish fry Friday's and sign up to be on the email list while you're at it. There is banquet facilities available for all your event needs.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - David F.Sterling Heights, MI0111Oct 1, 2022
Course is in great shape and pace of play moves along. They have 27 holes and the starter does a nice job spreading out the foursomes.

I've played this course a couple of times for fund raising events. If it were not for the fund raisers that I support I wouldn't waste my time going here. It's just a run down golf course with and old run down club house (and I use the term club house lightly here). The course is just a swamp (it smells like a swamp too) and the club house is a worn down building from the 70's.

Friendly staff, not to pricey
Depends on the day as to what is available for food
Depends on the weather with being an outdoor activity, but not a bad place to spend your outdoor timeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 3, 2018Previous reviewGood place to take the kids for lessons and some practice. Summertime classes for the kids gives them something to do and get out of you hair.
Seniors just about every day you go there, but with 3 9 hole courses you can get away from them
Fun place to hang out after and get a bite to eat and some beverages, gets a bit loud, but that's because lots of people go here - Margi B.Garland, TX2319Aug 13, 2021
Played as a single on a week day afternoon. Friendly staff. Course was in good shape. Greens were a bit slow due to recent rains but it was a fun round anyway. Will definitely visit again when I am back in town!

So, I'm almost 40 and I have never golfed before. Ever. My BF really enjoys it and he wanted me to get into it so we would have more things to do together. Awwww.... He bought me a set of clubs and we headed out. Mind you, it's still a little chilly out, but the courses here were great. Greens were well taken care of. Challenging fairways. I'm glad we didn't take score! Since it is early season for golf, I could take my time and learn/practice without holding anyone up. The staff is beyond amazing. Super helpful and knowledgeable. Really went the extra mile. I spoke with a man named Tom. Not sure if he is the owner or not, but super friendly. Great guy. Gave me a lot of good pointers and tips. Prices seemed more than fair. Can't wait to get back out there! Only thing holding me back is Mother Nature. I think she's drunk. It's snowing in April.

Decent course. You get what you pay for. Took 3 hours to get 9 holes in. Called the marshal to do something about the pace, no result. Won't go back.

Nice northern Macomb county farmland/woodland 27 hole course. Perfect for weekend warriors. Very relaxed no pressure staff. Good carts. Good maintained landscape and greens. My only advise to management/ owners that is its time to invest and replace all the pinhole flags..very difficult to see the greens in 250+ yard fairways.
I just played 18 holes in October. Advise to players who play in the fall. The 9 hole gold course is in the trees. Fairways are covered in leaves. Making it 90% unplayable. You'll never fine your ball.
Fun course. Good cheap beer. I'll go again..Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Justin T.Utica, MI30421Aug 10, 2018
Made a tee time over the phone, when I got there the place was so packed we sat around with the starter for 15-20 minutes. We finally went off, then were pulled off by the starter in the fairway of the first hole to be moved to the gold 9. We tee' d off on hole 1 of the gold course to be pulled off the hole in the fairway AGAIN to be told we would need to go back to the club house and wait 30 mins for a league that was going off in about 30 mins. We played 2 tee shots on two different set of holes and ended up just leaving and won't be back. Major scheduling issues (not the starters fault), too many other courses around to waste your time at Bello Woods.

One of the most underrated courses in the macomb area. Pace of play is awesome, staff is very friendly. Fair price. The gold course is the best of the three, it gives a good variety of holes and challenges. Also they do a great job keeping the course maintained. I've been to many more expensive courses who do not do a good job cutting the tee boxes down.
