Belle Isle Motel

We planned a trip to Acadia National Park and I found Belle Isle Motel online and I liked the location. It is so close to the NP and downtown Bar Harbor. When we arrived check in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The property itself was so cute and well kept. The pool looked nice although we did not have time to use it. We did use the fire pit in the back and it was awesome!

Also, there's a restaurant next door called Sweet Pea's Cafe. I recommend for dinner!!!

Great place to stay while going to Acadia and Bar Harbor! Clean room, great water pressure in the shower, nice towels, super friendly staff (Emily rocked), dog friendly, breakfast goodies in the morning. Would recommend.

I only booked this hotel because of the rate and it's proximity to downtown Bar Harbor.

Upon checking in (after I already received an invoice online for the days I would be there), they tacked another $100 on to my bill for my dog. Why say "pet friendly," have your rates posted on your website, know I have a dog, book my stay, and THEN add another $100 on to my bill?!

I wouldn't recommend this place due to poor customer service and price gauging.

Great place to stay! Only about 7 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and they had a great fire pit out back with supply of split wood ready to go!! Also a separate building for laundry and vending machines. Not a lot of detail to give on this one other than just a great quiet little spot to stay, no complaints. :)

Awesome, warm, friendly people. Very clean with a pool and wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend.

Super simple but exactly what I expected based on the photos and price point. We booked our room here for around $80-90/night right before high season kicked off. (Sunday night during early June). Located just a few miles outside of Bar Harbor, I appreciated all of the attractions and eateries still located within walking distance of Belle Isle Motel. This roadside motel features a pool, campfire, laundry house, small but clean rooms with even smaller bathrooms. Honestly, my only complaint would be just how darned small the bathrooms are. Very National Park-y in nature - ya know, no frills but clean - gets the job done. The check-in room offers a few snacks and brochures that are handy for your visit.

Stayed here this past week and was very pleased. The location is great. You're near Bar Harbor, Acadia, and close to the Schoodic Area.
The room was clean and comfortable, though small. When you're on vacation near Acadia and BH though, you're really not there to spend much time in the room anyway. It's a clean place to shower, sleep and.....
The people that work there are great. They're very friendly and accommodating, and helped make our stay enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We spent two nights at this cute place. The room has a good size and, super cozy. The room has refrigerator, microwaves, coffee machine , hair dryer and has a good shower, the bed is good and also has A/C and heater.
The owner is very nice and helpful. She has a beautiful cat, Nina.

Had a little car problem prior to our arrival to Belle Isle. Called up the office and the key was left for us at the office's mailbox. The room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. Mid size refrigerator, a personal cup coffee machine and a microwave in the room. The place was quiet. There was a pool but we didn't have a chance to enjoy it. Location was easy to find. About 15 minutes drive to downtown Bar Harbor. Staffs were friendly. Check in and check out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again the next time we come to MDI.

Clean and friendly!! The outdoor pool is heated so even on cooler days the kids went in. About 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor so no hustle and bustle of night life.
Only negative is that the rooms are a little small. Our 4 big suitcases really had no where to go but otherwise great. If you want a big room and a bath tub than try elsewhere but if you aren't spending along time in your room and can share space it's just right.
