Just because something is old or worn out doesn't truly make it an antique. I found that this store was extremely cluttered awfully overpriced and the vast majority of what I found was perfect for a landfill.
Also - If you're looking for racist postcards, they have them here. Why this store allows such items to be sold is beyond me.
Much nicer options are nearby.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - M R.Baltimore, MD0173Aug 24, 2023
I was beyond surprised to find out this massive antique store has two floors. I could spend days hunting for treasures. I always leave with something. Some items are on the higher end but overall I think they're in line with what I see in Maryland (if not less). Love this gem of a store!

Bedford Antiques is one of the antique spots I like visiting in Carlisle.
It's a decent size store with two floors of various vendor booths. If you like to hunt & rummage, you'll have plenty to occupy yourself with here.
On the recent weekdays I've popped in, it's been a quiet time to shop. On busier days, parking can be more of a challenge. In addition to street parking, there's a shared lot behind.
Staff is friendly. I enjoy seeing the displays by the checkout counter.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rick T.Lexington, KY052Feb 13, 2021
Extremely nice people, beautiful antique mall. Can't be beat! They were helpful with an item I found. Hope to return this summer.

I returned back here this afternoon with nothing but time. I explored every floor and every booth.
I really like some of the local historic museum-like artifacts that aren't for sale, but on display. I find that several booths are just made up of junk that is near impossible to walk into.
As much as this antique mall has, I really didn't find anything that caught my eye. There were a few small vintage wooden boxes I was looking at, but priced too high in my opinion. If you're into vinyl records like I am you'll find two booths that have some stock, but both are kinda weak. The better booth is pretty small and has some jazz and some other random genres like Christmas and World. The other vinyl booth is made up of dollar bin stuff that's priced around $4 each. If you need some John Denver records you'll be happy.
I do like how clean Bedford is though and fairly easy to navigate. If you're into antiques, historical items or just want to browse some interesting and perhaps not so interesting stuff it's worth a visit. Give yourself anywhere from 1-2 hours though cause there's a lot to look at and take in.
Overall, experienced better, but certainly a worthwhile spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 22, 2018Previous reviewChecked out this spot after not finding much at Northgate Antique Mall only a few minutes away. Bedford is more of an antique mall in terms of size and number of booths. They had a really good variety of items. I found some stuff to be a bit pricey, while other things I was looking at seemed fair.
I did find it amusing when someone actually believes an Elvis record that's a budget bin find at any record shop is worth nearly $20. Lots of cool artifacts here. Unfortunately, I didn't make it upstairs due to time constraints, but I'd like to return when time is not an issue. - Stephen P.Pittstown, NJ0115Aug 22, 2020
I have mixed feeling about my visit. First on the positive side, the store is very large, much larger than it appears from the outside. They have an eclectic selection of items.
On the downside, you have to pay for parking on the street; no apparent parking lot.
Prices, I thought, were expensive. I regularly explore antique stores. Store within 30 or so miles of me are all offering percentage discounts on their items. (This store is about 100 miles away.) Here, no discounts, and prices were overall quite high.
Customer service is questionable. When I asked if a store person could call a vendor to ask if prices were negotiable, I was given the vendor's business card and told the vendor does answer his phone. At any other antique store, the store person calls the vendor directly and asks on my behalf.
Despite my negative comments, I will visit the store again if in the area, for no other reason than the store has a large variety of times.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angelique Z.York, PA3012May 7, 2019
While the selection is impressive, the customer service is shameful. The employees followed me and kindly took my items twice as I perused the large warehouse. But when I got to the counter the 3 employees busied themselves and darted glances and chin nudges at each other rather than engage me. Perhaps they were silently debating whose turn it was to serve? After waiting to a count of 30, I decided that their goods weren't worth their drama. What a waste of time!

Wow what a fun afternoon. You could call this place a museum for all the items they have at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend a trip and give yourself lots of time to browse
