Small hole in the wall type of place that is pretty typical of the Asian massage joint. The previous 2 reviews are what got myself and a friend to try it out today.

I'm a hairstylist, so my upper back and neck are constantly in knots. She is a doctor and also suffers from back issues. We were nervous because other Asian massage parlors have deeply disappointed in the past.

This place is completely not typical. Both of our women did swedish massage as good as any other spa we've been to in the past (my own place of work included). They contoured their hands along the muscle and did some amazing stretch work. For $50, i promise to return again and again.

Got a full body massage for the first time (1hr $50) and what a dissapointment!
The whole building is under construction and the place was noisy and not relaxing at all. I regret paying so much for a mediocre massage that felt like someone is rubbing oil to your body. Don't go there. Don't waste ur money. U get what u pay for. None of the people are certified to do massage and they have to idea where the pressure
points are. It was painful and not enjoyable. Argh! What a waste of my money!

Effin' awesome!!!! $50 for 1 hour whole body massage and it was worth every penny! A hidden gem in Bayside. My bf and I decided to try this place out after we read the reviews on Yelp. My masseuse was awesome - she was very gentle (at my request) but she put just the right amount of pressure on those achy spots on my legs and my back and took the pain away (sigh....it was awesome).
My bf and I were walked into a room upon arrival where there were adjacent beds. We took our clothes off and left underwear on. She put a towel on top of me and the massaging bliss started. Make sure you tell her if you want soft or deep (my bf likes deep tissue massage) I enjoyed it and my bf in the bed next to me fell asleep (I heard him snore at one point).
I highly recommend this place. Go try it out ASAP!! I'll try the "hair massage" next time and the foot massage :)

Small place on 2nd floor. Nothing fancy, not a spa but for a good massage with no fancy oils or "treatments", it really is the best place in the area.

I get the 60 min Thai Style Shampoo. You lay down on this weird contoured table with a sink at the head. Your head rests comfortably in the sink, none of that awkward neck hanging thing that happens when you get your hair washed in a hair salon. They then proceed to wash your hair for a half an hour. It is wonderful! They skritch and rub your scalp & temples while they use this great citrus smelling shampoo. I have fine, straight hair and it can easily get weighted down by residue from heavy conditioners. This never happens here. After your half hour of head washing joy, you get 30 minutes back rub. I got mine on a table in one of the massage rooms which suited me fine since I never fit properly in those back rub chairs. This isn't a full body massage as you are clothed and never roll over onto your back, but they do work your arms & legs. My massages are hard & deep. They do Tui-na style which is what I like. They also have foot reflexology

Like I said before... this isn't a spa, but more like a chinatown massage joint dropped onto the middle of Bell Blvd. The Bayside rail road station is right next door & you can hear it while they are working on you. The shampoo tables are right next to each other & the rooms have curtain doors. the foot reflexology and massage chair is in the lobby area ( the photos they submitted here are quite accurate) but don't let that stop you. It is never crowded and they are respectful of your relaxation & do not chat while working on you. If they do need to, they whisper. I get 60 minutes of happy for 45 bucks and they aren't trying to sell me anything or get me to upgrade or make me self conscious about my spa etiquette. So for a no nonsense massage, this place is great. but if you want your vichy shower-seaweed wrap-salt scrub-dermatologist recommended oils (which sometimes I do) along with your cuppa tea & fluffy robe, this isn't that kind of place. But they do give you a cup of water...

      EDIT 9/9/2010:
I did the 30 minute foot reflexology. They have big comfy easychairs and ottomans that they use. Wonderful! Just don't go during rush hour... LIRR train noise and the chairs are right by a window that looks down on the Bayside station.

I went on a whim based on the reviews here and couldn't be happier. I got the Thai shampoo/scalp massage for 30 minutes/$25 (they only advertise the 60 minute one for $45) and the 60 minute full body massage for $50. My massage therapist, Gina, was as good as they get. I've been getting massages for years, anywhere from the Red Door to Chinatown, and she is the only person who has been able to get the nasty knots out of my shoulders in one go.

The place looks unassuming and sketchy from the outside. You walk up a flight of dingy green carpeted steps and wonder "what the hell am I getting myself into?!" Gina greeted me when I got in and I had to wait 15 minutes b/c I didn't make an appointment. There were only two other clients there besides me, but no worries, I wasn't in a rush. I started with the Thai shampoo massage. Gina had me lay down in the main area by the pedicure chairs and placed my head on a cushioned neck rest above a deep sink. Gina shampooed my hair twice and conditioned once in the course of thirty minutes, while massaging my temples and scalp. The initial pressure was a bit too rough for me, so I told Gina, and she adjusted accordingly. So relaxing and the smell of the shampoo lulled me to sleep for a few minutes.

After the scalp massage, I went into a side room that was curtained off from the main area for the full body massage. Gina applied the right pressure right away on my shoulders and proceeded to move to my upper back and shoulders (she must've guessed by the way I reacted initially to the pressure from the scalp massage). The full body massage was more a cross between a Swedish massage and a deep tissue massage which was a pleasant surprise. I was expected more of a Chinese acupressure massage (which would have been fine), but was shocked at how skilled Gina was at the Swedish-deep tissue. I mentioned to her before the massage that I sit at a desk all day in front of a computer, and she knew exactly what to do and got all the knots out of my neck, shoulders, and back. When the pressure was too hard a couple of times, I let her know, and she adjusted right away. All in all, a great experience and I will definitely be back.

If you're looking for overpriced frills and nonsense, then this obviously isn't the place for you. If you're looking for an effective (and surprisingly, relaxing) massage for mere bucks, then GO GO GO. Ask for Gina - she is great!

I got a massage from this place. The 2 older gross looking ladies- one has brown teeth, were the massagers. They were unkempt and looked like they haven't bathed for weeks. On top of that, the thermostat on the wall read 64 degrees. They turned off all the heat and it was the worst experience ever. Then, after all that, they demanded a tip. They were bickering about it and I couldn't believe the nerve of them. I've been to China before and even their massages are better than this. Chinese people can be so cheap with the saving money part but MAN- no heat
during a massage? I felt more stressed from this whole situation than anything else.

This place had interesting reviews, so I called. But the phone number is disconnected. If you are closed, you should no longer be on yelp. If you are open, shame on you for listing your number incorrectly.

      First to Review

      Hi,

I almost never write a review, actually this is my first one. I just came from Bayside Simply Relaxation and let me tell you it was amaizing. The woman that did my full body massage was not just beautiful and sweet, but extremely skilled. Went in with back pain and fell so much better afterwards.
I am usually a rather picky girl when it come to people inflicting pain on me, but this massage felt deep tissue but with the right amount of pressure and stretching.
Excellent service, will def go back.
