I can't even begin to describe what a horrible experience we had at this hotel. They took a very simple request and turned it into the single worst example of lack of customer caring that I have ever experienced.
It escalated all the way to corporate customer service and ended with a total lack of caring and not only not accommodating a simple request, but canceling our reservation even though we were never abusive or rude or obscene, simply persistent that they should allow the second person on a reservation to check in because the first person was delayed.
Not only wouldn't we stay at this Baymont, the clerk ended up ruining the taste of the whole chain for us. Avoid at all costs - they don't care about you at all.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kaitlin S.Fort Worth, TX087Jun 4, 2016

The room is clean and decent enough and the cleaning crew was great! The reason I gave it a lower rating is because the policies are not user friendly. During our stay I became ill but my husband could not bring me breakfast because they have a policy that breakfast must be eaten in the breakfast lounge and food could not be removed from the premises. Secondly, their wifi has a new pass code every day, but they will not tell it to you if you call from the room in the morning- you must go in person to the office to get the slip with the 24 hour code. The third reason I marked it down is because they have a pool but they keep it locked and no one can go in - not even to sit in the sun! Then to top it off, there was a storm and the Internet was interrupted, which is understandable, but then it never came back on. I kept seeing all the neighboring hotel wifi connections coming back on- but theirs has not come back on as of yet and it has been over 12 hours. I should also mention that this Baymont is not affiliated with the chain. So, for a one night stay it is fine, but if you plan to stay and try to get some work done or sit in the sun by the pool- I would choose someplace else.

We had a horrid start to our trip thanks to Baymont Inn
I booked and paid for a room for 3 back in March as my family was competing in an event at the Will Rogers Center. I booked it for Oct 31 thru Nov 5.
When we got to the Oakland airport on the 31st we learned our flight had been delayed by nearly 7 hours due to weather. I called Baymont Inn to let them know we would be late Checking in due to our flight. I was told since we booked through hotels.com that I would have to call them. I thought that was odd, yes we booked through them but they aren't in charge of check ins. So I called hotels.com and explained the situation. They put me on hold while they contacted the hotel to tell them even though I explained to them that they were aware since they were the ones that told me to call. Ugh. Anyway, the hotels.com rep came back and said that they would just mark us as a no show for the first night since we wouldn't be getting in until around 9 am. I said that was fine and I just wanted to make sure our room wouldn't be canceled. I was assured it was fine.
We arrived at dfw at 7am, got our luggage and our rental car and got to the hotel around 8:45 am after being up for over 24 hours and having to be at the Center at 9 for a mandatory meeting. We just wanted to check in and drop off our stuff. Imagine my total shock when the guy at the desk said they didn't have a room for us because we didn't show up and we'd have to rebook it through hotels.com. I was PISSED. I told him I called the previous night to prevent this from happening and that we just didn't "not show", our flight was delayed and I had CALLED TO LET THEM.KNOW AND WAS TOLD IT WAS FINE.
After 30 mins on the phone with hotels.com we finally had a room, but were late for our meeting. Let it be known that never once did I ask for a refund for the night we missed. Not once. However I should have asked for a refund for the whole damn trip. The maids were terrible. They made our beds but that was it. Bathrooms weren't cleaned, garbage wasn't taken out. My daughter had bug bites from sleeping on the sofa bed. The a/c unit was ridiculously loud, but we had to run it otherwise the room was stuffy.
We were staying a couple of nights longer than our initial reservation but we weren't about to extend our stay. We booked the Best Western on the other side of the freeway and I wish we had stayed there the whole time. Sooooo much better. Yeah, baymont was cheap, now I see why. Never again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
