Traveling through Ms and set up a tee time through Golfnow. 65 degree day with some wind. Course is set among pine trees. Pine trees line most fairways and maybe 4 holes have houses along the fairways. Many of the greens are like upside down bowls. Approach shots had a hard time holding and very rarely rolled onto green from front. Water comes into play on a few holes. We had a burger at the turn from the grill and it was awesome.
We would play againHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - George L.AL, AL04May 28, 2023
Alright if you wanna go get hammered with your buddies for a cheap price then this might be your place. But... the past reviews are super in accurate. This course is horrible. HORRIBLE. You will not enjoy this if you are a golfer looking to play a hidden gem. It's not one. Good people, cheap beer, crap course.

No offense. The staff is nice. But, my friend and I played 10 golf courses in AL and MS in 11 days. We googled "best golf courses in MS and AL. Played 5 RTJ golf trail courses as well as Dancing Rabbit, Shells Landing, The Refuge, Mossy Oak. They were all amazing EXCEPT Bay Point. How they got on the "highest rated" list remains a mystery. The course was dry, weedy and in need of lots of TLC. It appears that they ran out of money and are just holding on. I wish them the best , but cannot recommend them. K

Great place to play golf and to support local. Cheap rate and nice golf course. I'd highly recommend to play their if you're from out of town visiting.

Came in from Dallas. Pro shop were some cool people. Southern Hospitality. Enjoyed the course. Had a great round and enjoyed the course. Very challenging and competitive. Wish the pro shop had more brand material

I truly love playing at Bay Pointe and living here. It's not the longest course you'll play, but it's very challenging. Keeping it in the fairway is essential to a good score. In the summertime when the course is in great shape, the greens can get pretty fast. I would say the greens are the great equalizer. Playing here will help your game travel to other courses you'll play.

This is a fun course that is continually improving. Brent's crew is always hard at work making this course better and more enjoyable for the public. Very family friendly if you're getting the kids involved with Golf. I recommend giving this course a shot if you ever in the area!

Had an opportunity to play 18holes out there today. Gotta say, despite the rain from yesterday soaking the course, the course played great and my friend and I still had a great time. Scenery was great (even though that did mean water hazards).
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would probably go back just because of them. Full service pro shop and grill (I didn't sample the grill because of time but it smelled great).
Course is a serious course and it may be because it was our first time, but it felt like it played long (took a full 3 1/2 hours to play but then again I am playing at a 20 handicap).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Clara C.Brandon, MS094Jul 28, 2018Updated review
Played again at BayPointe. Nice course but the ponds are awful!! No fountains and red stuff on one and green weeds growingout into the middle of one. Need to be dealt with. This could be a showplace if certain things were taken care of. Slow play. A Marshall could prove very useful. I saw signs that said no carts beyond this point and no carts on this hole and people were driving all over the place like race car scene in a movie!! Also it would be nice if the course required some sort of dress code. People not wearing shoes, no golf shirt just T-shirt's is not appealing to those trying to dress correctly. And what's up with those dogs riding in a cart and then running loose??? Unfortunately the dog deposits were not picked up.
Played a tournament at Bay Pointe today. Food was included in the price and there was no food. I was told the president of the men's association decided yesterday not to have food but didn't tell the participants or give back any money. Also people in the tournament were breaking rules right and left. Prizes were awarded based on scorecards and they weren't correct. Be careful if you decide to play a tournament if you are not friends with the people in the men's association. You will get put in crappy groups and don't have a chance to win due to buddies cheating!!!!! No leadership willing to challenge the problems within the course. No backbone leadership and it operates on the good old boy policy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1May 16, 2018Previous reviewPlayed again at BayPointe. Nice course but the ponds are awful!! Jan 31, 2015Previous reviewNice course but really need a Marshall. Very slow play. Holes that are cart path only should be more clearly marked instead of people living on those fairways having to police the rules.

Great layout. Fun, and very friendly distances. Old school charm, and great greens. Plus, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
