I have been a patient of Dr Barry and her team for several years now. Most years have been for check-ups and bi-annual cleanings. Thus, I have seen her business grow. What makes me want to stay with Dr. Barry, is how she continually embraces technology to improve the patient experience. You get to see your actual teeth, bite, and areas of concern in various colors. No longer is it "hey, take our word for it" - it is right there in front of you. The hygienists I have had are terrific. Gentle, yet thorough and effective. The office is well presented and the staff are cordial and helpful. I will continue to be a patient of Dr. Barry and her team! They have my trust and gratitude.

I didn't have a good experience and won't return. Honestly this place was probably the most disrespectful experience I've had at a dentist or drs office. I remember when we walked in, I heard the male receptionist speaking to someone over the phone in a really rude and disrespectful type of way and that immediately gave me and my husband red flags as a brand new patient. But I didn't know the situation so I let it go.
Got a "dental cleaning" and got charged for it and all I had was a polish and nothing else-- no flossing/scaling-- nothing else. I called to ask if I was charged and the receptionist insinuated that because I took a valium that I must have forgotten or that I'm lying bc her paperwork says otherwise. WHAT?! I remember everything very clearly and remembered walked out with my husband and said "that was weird. I only got that gritty polish and that was it". Interesting that you believe the hygienist but not me. They were unwilling to rectify it as well. My husband was there to back me up and saw/heard everything-- so nice try claiming that I must have been "drugged up and forgot".
I also got comments/questions that were offensive-- talking flippantly about old eating disorders I struggled with and also asked if I was a former drug user?! What?! I can understand the questions but they way there were said was awful. How insulting and disrespectful with zero tact. No one has EVER spoken to me like that before. Not good bedside manner.
I also politely asked the hygienist at the beginning to please not go through the pictures (X-rays were fine) with me because I feel shame about my teeth. Lo and behold, they went through every single one and pointed out all the issues even though I requested not too. I also mentioned I wanted veneers and Dr Barry kind of rolled her eyes and laughed and said "Whatever you do, don't go to Mexico". I'm sure there aren't great dentists in Mexico that maybe do shoddy work. But I find it kind of racist/insulting to Hispanic people that they don't have good qualified dentists to do veneers as well as American dentists. Heck, there's some shoddy dentists in America too that don't do great work as well. There were just so many red flags that I witnessed here. And I'm shocked at the good reviews. Maybe I had a weird bad experience but yeah. I would run away and find a different dentist.
Oh and when I went back to my other dentist and she said that a lot of dental work they claim I need is unnecessary and that I don't need to do anything at this time. She also could tell they didn't do a full cleaning but what do I know

I am really excited about going to this dental office tomorrow to fix a very embarrassing problem.

Last night, while I was working, I had a loose tooth drop out of my mouth onto my desk. It was loose because of a prior work accident and some bad crown work. The crown work had cracked about a month ago and I had put off getting it fixed. I knew it was my fault; Whenever I was in work meetings or stressed out, I moved it around with my tongue, never expecting this to happen.

I didnt know who to call for an appointment given I had no idea what to do. MY regular dentist had retired after 30 years of practice. I was referred by a close family friend to a new dental office in Greenwood. However, in January 2019, I was forced to stop patronizing this office after I learned they were engaged in minor billing fraud. I was amazed by the rude and aggressive receptionist who chased me by phone months after my services, trying to get me to agree to balance billing practices. Given that I am a lawyer, I couldn't believe that a dental office would engage in something fraudulent (given the terms of their Delta Dental Provider contract).

For the last three months, I had put finding a new dentist on my to-do list without following thru. I decided to call my mom for some 911 help. Mom referred me to Dr. Mark at Dr. Barry's Office, her all-time favorite dentist and someone she has been going to regularly for two years. Mom bragged about the beautiful office, the amazing professional staff and the beyond fair billing practices. She raved, about Dr.Mark and his focus on doing the most for your dental health at the lowest cost. Coming from my past experience, I was really pleased with the idea of being provided a written estimate prior to all services.

Still, given the nature of my situation, I wasn't that concerned with the aesthetic appeal of the Office or the pricing scheme, I was more stressed out by the idea of calling a dentist and asking them to book a new patient appointment given my situation.

How happy was I when I called this morning and spoke to Mariah. She was extremely non-judgy and very nice. Our conversation made me feel much better. there were no awkward pauses and she was really upbeat and sympathetic.

I loved the staff and Dr. Mark. Best of all, it was only three minutes from my house.

If Bernie Madoff, Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling had started a dentistry together this would have been it. Not only did they charge me $100 for appointments I never set up nor did I receive email notifications for the appointment, but they refuse to talk to me about it. Horrible business model.

I have to first preface this review with saying that going to the dentist creates a lot of anxiety for me. Regardless, I still go, but go to great lengths to find one that creates a positive and understanding environment while also being conservative with treatment. I went to Dr. Barry's office a for cleanings and was treated with scare tactics by my hygienist who knew about my apprehensions. She offered comments (with a condescending tone) such as, "if you don't come in more often, we're going to have to do some painful procedures on you." Really? I'm an adult and realize that; I felt like I was being talked down to, and lectured, by the hygienist. Please, just clean my teeth and let the doctor consult with me. Because of this, I never returned.

On a side note, the treatment I received from Dr. Barry herself was good and had no issue with her.

Very happy with my experience at Barry Dental Center. The staff was very attentive and listened to all of my concerns, they even mentioned things about my teeth that no other dentist has ever mentioned, which is something I sincerely appreciate.

I am so happy I found this place. I have been a patient for years now. And everyone is super knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. I just had a crown done by Dr. Ngo and her assistant Laura. I am usually very nervous and have horrible anxiety about dental anything. They both made me feel so comfortable I was even able to enjoy some Netflix. I highly recommend setting a date with these two. I watched Schitts Creek and tried my best to not laugh. I completely forgot that I was having a crown done. And I actually enjoyed my time here. The best part is Dr. Ngo and Laura really did a perfect job. No down time for me with the temporary crown. I actually forgot it was just a temp. And the final crown is so natural and comfortable. I am so happy to have found this place. And have one more crown on my schedule with these two. Will be all ready for the new year. Cheers

I've been a patient for almost ten years. This place has always taken care of my family with great attention to detail, and regard for our health. I owe it to them and the community after this many years to share my feedback for others who may be looking for a dental center.

From a children/family perspective, this place has always taken care of us. I started bringing in my kids as soon as they were old enough to see a dentist. They don't just provide dental health care, but will help you with planning to make sure your children practice good hygiene, develop good habits, and have a dental roadmap. Once, my sun chipped his tooth on a weekend when the office was closed and they opened up to tend to him. They have earned my confidence with their approach, planning, and treatment with respect to children. My kids are now teenagers and they are completely comfortable going to this dental center -- they never developed of fear of dentistry due to their great service.

From a personal perspective, Dr Barry has always been attentive to my needs. The dental center was able to help me with invisalign, replacing a crown that had been installed at a previous center, improving my gum health, and overall dental hygiene. The staff is friendly, professional, and always eager to assist. I have many options through my dental plan for where to go for my dental care but I've never even had a second thought about going elsewhere. All my needs, including scheduling needs, are met here.

Would strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a long term dental relationship.
