A friend and I visited Martinez last week and I was surprised what a quaint, wonderful place this was! The staff was terrific, and the loaded vegetarian bagel was supreme! We will definitely come back! Thanks so very much!

Best cocktails in the East Bay.
It's a small spot, but if you're lucky enough to get a seat at the bar, the drinks are fantastic .

Pretty cool little hip bar in the heart of downtown Martinez

I adore the espresso martinis here. i wish they could be served all the time and not just at night when the bar part is open. The oat milk in the espresso is just one of its. delightful, magical secrets.
The salmon bagel is an absolute wonder. The capers add that little zing that make your mouth smile.
I love coming here on Sundays in the early afternoons, right after the farmers market. I get to celebrate having gone to the market, having purchased some fresh fruit, smoked salmon (hopefully!), poke, and veggies. Then I can come here have an energizing and relaxing martini and get the week off to a great start.

I've tried coming to Barrelista three different times and on each occasion, they were closed despite Yelp, Google, and their own website listing hours indicating that they would be open.

The first time was in December and their website had two different sets of hours. One said they opened at 7am and the other said they opened at 7:30am. I arrived at 7:30 to play it safe and there wasn't a soul in sight.

The second time, their website only had one set of hours. They indicated that they opened at 7am. I arrived at 7:30 again, to be safe, and they were closed. There was a sign stating that they were closed until mid-January for the holidays. That is fair, but it would have been nice if their website had indicated it as well.

And now today... I checked the website last night, and it said they opened at 7am. Yelp and Google said the same. I arrive at 7am and guess what??? Not a soul in sight!

At this point, I'm more disappointed in myself than I am then, but this is frustrating. I've tried calling ahead as well, but each time the phone went straight to voicemail.

      1 check-in

The latte was very good . Temperature was perfect a little hotter than most places that's a good thing . The place itself is very inviting so much we sat there and played a couple of hands of blackjack. It was raining outside so it was very comfortable. People were very friendly and even the room temperature was perfect very cozy I would definitely recommend this place stop by and stay a while they won't mind . You will be glad you did

      Inside very peaceful

Back to Barrelista! A true gem of a find from our coffee pilgrimage! Today we had an almond croissant and the avocado toast. What you see is the 1/2 toast--which is huge! Served on their delicious and thickly sliced sourdough (not sure if it's house-made but it's definitely not your average sourdough!), the toast has not-to-much cream cheese, generouse slices of avo, and it's topped with sprouts, hemp seeds, chili flakes, and a delicious and somewhat spicy aioli. I'm going to dream about this Avo toast! Drinks: non-fat and almond milk lattes. The coffee has a smokey, toasty, slightly bitter-in-good-way flavor that is so delightful!

If you are an avocado toast lover, this is a must. Located in Downtown Martinez, this coffee shop is right at the corner, with menu displayed outside. Parking meters are outside for parking

Service was nice: you pull up to the register and order there, and your order is taken to you. Ambiance is relaxed and chill, with lots of students coming here. A Farmers Market is always here weekends, and it gets packed in the mornings, for a heads up

I recently visited this charming coffee spot in downtown Martinez and had a delightful experience. I ordered a vanilla matcha with oat milk and a 1/2 order of the salmon toast without capers, both of which were delicious. The ambiance of the place was fantastic, and I even brought my laptop along to get some work done. Certain nights, they also offer cocktails on the backside, which were absolutely delicious. While I haven't visited for breakfast often, I'm glad I decided to change up my routine and work from here today. I will definitely be returning in the future.
