Barkate Nehi Orthodontics

Dr. Nehi worked a miracle on my daughter's smile! We are all very pleased!
We were a little late getting her to see an orthodontist - she was almost 14 - she had many stubborn baby teeth not ready to go. There were a very stubborn adult tooth in particular, stuck up in the top of her mouth, with no room to descend, an "impacted tooth," requiring surgery. Dr. Nehi suggested all the possible options for her plan, and we tried the least invasive methods. Eventually, for the tooth in the roof of her mouth, we decided to go with surgery. Many months after the surgery, when the tooth finally descended, it was entirely backward. It was interesting to see how he modified the course of her treatment and managed to turn it around the right way and all the other teeth came in line.
Dr. Nehi has terrific bedside manner; he always treated my daughter with respect in regard to patient-doctor consultaion and choices, educating and explaining thoroughly what could be done next.  But then also, Dr. Nehi has a very unique and fun sense of play and optimism. We found him to be engaging and a good listener as well.
We also enjoyed his assistants and the women working in front on scheduling. We would absolutely recommend this practice to family and friends.

Dr. Barkate and Dr. Nehi are the best! Everyone that works with them is cheerful, kind and helpful. My special needs son began his orthodontic journey with phase one in second grade. Dr Barkate always took the time to make sure he was comfortable and understood what was happening. He began phase two in 6th grade and today he completes his journey! My sons teeth look absolutely amazing and the whole experience was wonderful. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

This is the best experience we have ever had with orthodontics! Dr. Nehi and Dr. Barkate are personable and friendly and really care about their patients. The whole vibe of the office is upbeat and fun and kids love it here! Highly highly recommend!

both my girls have gone here for their braces. they always are so sweet and explain everything to you, they know what their doing. front & back desk people are so nice and welcoming and accommodating. all of their offices are super clean and comfortable.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Barkate & Dr. Nehi through three children. Our oldest son just completed his 2nd phase and is done! His teeth are beautiful and he's been getting a lot of compliments. Staff is friendly and appointments are easy to schedule with plenty of afternoon options.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience for both of our daughters. The office staff is welcoming and doctors are detail-oriented and patient with our never ending questions. Both girls love their new smiles and we love seeing them.

We've loved our time with Barkate Orthodontics! Our oldest started phase one with them and we were so sad to have to move (active duty military family) prior to doing phase two. All of the office staff is great, and we especially loved Dr. Nehi once he joined their team. We consulted with a couple orthodontists in the area and didn't regret choosing Barkate. Their prices were better or comparable for the same treatment plan and their office and customer service were better than I could've expected. Our daughter always felt welcomed and comfortable by the staff. We've gone to the San Clemente and Ladera Ranch locations and had great experiences at both. Would always recommend them for anyone needing orthodontic care in the area. And for our fellow military families, they did offer a military discount.

Dr. Barkate's office is welcoming, fun and honest. We priced out 3 orthodontics and listened to all the consultations, Dr. Barkate had an honest and fair assessment and pricing model. We always leave with smiles and laughs. We think their Barkate Bucks encourage positive behavior and community involvement. Bravo for Barkate.

Dr. Barkate is amazing! He's kind, a good listener and brilliant in his field. My two kids were going to Dr. Barkate for braces when I considered straightening my top teeth. I wore braces for 6 months and now I can smile confidently. He not only straightened the teeth, but he shaped them as well which really made a huge difference!

Recently my daughter had a minor issue with her retainer and Dr. Barkate responded immediately to my call. We took his advice and she was fine within minutes

It's important to choose a doctor based not only on his/her qualities, but also on the office staff as a whole. Everyone in Dr. Barkate's office is super friendly. The office is beautiful and clean and I always feel welcome when we're there.
