Another one of my favorites in Boston. I love taking friends and family here because it's perfect for sharing since it's tapa style.
First off, the complimentary bread is always on point here. Always served hot with a side of olive oil. And when they serve good bread, you know it's going to be a good meal!
Some of my faves:
- Patatas Bravas (#1 MUST ORDER)
- Jamon and Manchego Croquettes
- Spiced Beef Empanadas
- Albondigas
- Spinach & Chickpea Cazuela
We've ordered half paella mariscos and paella verduras before, and they were giant portions meant for 3-4 people at least, and was pretty average. So I usually stick with the tapas listed above.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Apr 26, 2024
Love this place! Went last night to celebrate a friend's birthday and as always the staff and bartenders were so nice! We sat at the bar and got attended right away. They brought us bread (which is arguably some of the best bread in Boston) and constantly refilled our sangria glasses until our pitcher was done. Food is also so good! It is tapas style, so highly recommend you order a few plates for the table and share. The music was great. A lot of throwbacks, so the vibes were great! At some point "Pepas" came on and the general manager started getting into tables and pouring people shots. It was honestly a great experience!
Sorry, I have no pictures of the food/drinks but I highly recommend the Gambo Al ajillo (similar to a shrimp scampi), the Jamon Serrano + manchego croquetas, patatas bravas, and the white wine sangria!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nellie O.Boston, MA911074Apr 14, 2024
Super good tapas and drinks, except the steak paillard. That was over cooked and vinegary.
We recommend the tuna crudo, idziabal and Jamon, the house made ricotta. The tortilla was a slice. And the gambas were delicious. Their bread was good and crunchy. Our server left us at end of his shift without a check which was confusing.
Have the guns and roses cocktail.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Max M.Boston, MA0161Apr 5, 2024
Live nearby and love the concept and stopping in for a meal.
Very well managed. Seems everyone on top of their game and responsibile for their role. Waitress was impressive, after mentioning we had been there many times before, she shifted gears and conversation was based on experience.
Seems I am not the only person who likes it. Very crowded early and very noisy to the point hard to hear each other. Also thought quality of dishes were slightly off.
But overall, always better than most and worth a visit to decide for yourself. Would have given 5 stars but was better in previous visits.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 583132241Mar 18, 20241 check-in
A nice evening restaurant/bar and popular date night location. Highly recommend making a reservation because it was PACKED on a Saturday night!
Potato Tortilla Tortas - 4/5
One order of these can serve 2 people! I really liked the potato, chives and sour cream combo. It was also really filling, so can't go wrong there!
Paella Verduras (Full Plate) - 4/5
This was one of the "Large Plate" menu items, so it took about 45 minutes to be cooked. It's a freshly cooked meal of rice, cauliflower, and turnips and celery roots served on a hot pan. It was pretty good as well and the serving size was huge!
Chocolate Cake: 3/5
Probably my least favorite of the 3 items we got. It was pretty much your average chocolate cake, nothing mind-blowing. It was also a little small for the price ($9).
Service was great and everything went smoothly. Would come back again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 591334820Feb 19, 20241 check-in
Sunday brunch was somewhat busy but not impossible to get a spot, actually it was not bad at all! Service was very fast and all of our food came out quickly. They did not rush us at all and allowed us to continue sitting and chatting. The large windows provide a nice sunlit view of Tremont street as you dine.
Food-wise, they recommend 2-3 tapas per person in the party which was plenty. I left so full that I did not even have to eat dinner later. The bread they provide is warm and thick and they are generous with providing more. I came with two vegetarian friends and there were plenty of delicious veggies options! A good tip is to put in your paella order once you sit down as it takes 30-45 min to make.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 9, 2023
Love love love this place for brunch!! Probably my favorite brunch spot in Boston. Quality of food is great, and the tapas style means you can eat so many dishes!!
This is a list of some of my must-gets every time: brunch fideos (kind of like a brunchy paella but with short noodles!), albondigas (meatballs but sauce is also GREAT), jamon croquetas (inside is soo creamy), bacon wrapped dates, patatas bravas (you MUST GET), empanadas, shrimp gambas (also amazing sauce)!! olive oil pancakes were also good, but more standard.
Their drinks are also great! I recently ate here with my family and we all got drinks and ordered a bunch of tapas to share for brunch and it came out to about $20 pp which is AMAZING for the amount of food you get at this kind of place.
Parking is honestly my biggest gripe with this place. Always near impossible to find parking!! Unless you just come at off hours.
Will be coming here at LEAST once a month though :)Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 3, 2023
First time at the South End location!
Tuna crudo- DELICIOUS could eat many plates of this
Spinach Chickpeas- good but nothing crazy
Pork belly - so soft juicy and tender would get again for sure
Barcelona large plate (half portion) - shared with 3 people good size and tasted delicious. I would get this again. (You get a side choice of fries or salad!)
Steak Tartare - nothing special, wasn't a huge fan probably would skip out on it next time.
We were able to get seated right away since we came around 4:30pm on a Friday. But I would recommend booking ahead of time since it does get busy during dinner time. The small tapas plates came out relatively quickly, and they had so many options to choose from. I would recommend this place for gathering with friends, dates, family dinners!
Would come back again to try more tapas here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Nov 29, 2023
I would come back here for the vibes and the staff. The songs, the atmosphere, everything was just a good vibe. The staff were very attentive and nice.
The food was okay. I thought the paella was mushy, but very flavorful. The empanadas were good, but the sauce that they came with were flavorless and watery. The potatoes were nice and yummy. The croquetas tasted weird. The cheesecake was dried and had a weird aftertaste.
I liked the vibes and service enough to go back, will just order different plates next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
