Barbro offers up a clean Asian-fusion menu with a clean interior to match.
Umami is something that comes to mind when I'm entering an Asian restaurant. I left, feeling as if I enjoyed a silver lining of umami in every bite. (Try the beef sashimi, it was a highlight dish.)

Great food, attentive service and lovely cocktails. The vegetarian dishes are actually superior to the meats. Especially tasty was a shiitake broth, I can't stop thinking about it.

Another Sushi restaurant that lives on a good reputation which did not live up to its name.
We were shown to a table very quickly and the waitress was very nice if a little touchy feely kind.
We ordered our food which came quickly and tasted just fine. Nothing special just kinda ordinary sushi and if honest a little on the small side.
I asked for the bill and when it came i nearly fell off my stool. For what we had ordered and the fact that i still felt a little hungry, the price was a fantastic amount, had to check it a couple of times to make sure that they hadn't add something on there twice.
There are much better priced sushi places out there and i would rather go there. I Think at Barbro you possibly pay for the location rather than quality food.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 244830372May 5, 2015
Very dark and extremely crowded. Reservations were full but they kindly squeezed us in at the bar. Food was good for being one of the only decent Japanese places in town, but I have had better in LA. Service was excellent and very personable. A waiter talked about his life in Iran, which was pretty interesting to me because I contemplated going this year.

Possibly our best meal in Stockholm! Was hesitant to go because we get dang good sushi where I'm from, but I'm glad we decided to check it out. Standouts included the tuna tartare, with peanuts and crispy kale leaves, the beef 'sashimi' (note: it was actually prepared tataki style) and the broccolini, which was a surprising blend of goat cheese and curry.
It was booked up even on a Sunday night, but we had no problem getting a counter spot around 9.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sebastian S.City, Stockholm, Sweden5133Feb 9, 2014
Really nice restaurant. Good service. Nice atmosphere.
Spicy tuna roll was excellent.
The tables were all booked (the entire evening!) so we sat around a square bar which worked out well..Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jakob R.Stockholm, Sweden90143Apr 27, 2015
Great restaurant. Wonderful (relaxed, but tidy) atmosphere and delicious food although not too cheap.
They have tapas to remember and ginger lemonade to die for.
Well worth a visit for the food. Probably just as good for drinks!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lily T.Stockholm, Sweden97384941Aug 17, 2012
As many know, Asian fusion restaurant are usually bad. But I must say that Barbro really nailed it.
The variety on the menu is not too big, but just enough that they will be giving you a hard time picking which dishes to eat since all of them seem to be delicious.
The inside area is fresh and modern looking with a touch of old school feeling. It is fantastic and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
This is a place I am going to visit very often!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alaine H.Lund, Sweden673310380May 4, 2015
All I can say is order the dumplings, beef tartare, fois gras, and the rice bowl. Plus ask for wine pairings. The food is so good! We ordered so much food and drink it was multiple food orgasms in my mouth! Next time I'm back in Stockholm, I want to eat here again before going to tjoget for cocktails.

Five stars all the way. We really were over the moon about this spot. The place is not your typical sushi spot. Especially coming from California. The wine and cocktail list was very nice. However, the food really spoke for itself. We order the hamachi, sashimi and the tempura spicy tuna. All of which are done so well. Probably would have ordered a bit more food but the conversion to us currency makes it more spendy. However, worth making it here!
