If I could give zero stars, I would. It was that bad. Not even sure where to start on this review. My family and I drove by and saw a Grand Opening sign for Teppanyaki. (We live across the street) In our minds, we thought it would be hibachi style or at least cooked that way in the kitchen. We walked in to a restaurant that still looked like it was under construction. We decided to give it a try anyways..
I ordered chicken teriyaki, and my son ordered chicken chow mein and husband ordered chicken yakisoba. The menu was all over the place. We quickly learned that they don't specialize in any kind of food. You have Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese etc... that should have been our first sign. Jack of all trades, master of none.
Our food came out and my jaw dropped when I saw my chicken teriyaki. The chicken was no bigger than little kibbles of dog food. Really! It was also mixed in with all kinds of a greasy vegetable stir fry mix. This was not teriyaki. I asked their server if she's ever eaten chicken teriyaki and she said no. I expected at least .5"- 1" pieces of grilled chicken in a dish that was almost $12. I sent it back, there was no way I was touching that. I wouldn't have eaten it if it was free. I ended up getting the honey walnut prawns. Meh. The prawns were ok, but the walnuts probably came out of a can and were sprinkled on the plate and the shrimp had a gross mayonnaise mixture on it. I'm from Seattle and used to authentic asian food. Even Panda Express would have been better than this garbage.
Husbands yakisoba and son's chow mein were identical. They were small portions and overloaded in soy sauce and salt. It's like they hired a chef in the back that is just winging it. Very disappointing.
The best part of our meal was white rice and soda. $50 later, here I am warning you...pass. If you decide to go, check out the bathroom first. Then you'll understand & I'm sure you'll walk out. Several friends have concurred with our experience as well. Unsanitary, overpriced, flavorless, too many menu items, small portions, poor service...Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 23, 2023Updated review
I now have doordashed several things from here and for the price, pretty good. My go to is the lemongrass chicken combo. The poke is good although it could use more fish but anything lettuce wraps is dynamite. The egg rolls, fried shrimp and dumplings are also not to miss if you like fried food. The salad is hit or miss sometimes adding too much dressing or strawberry with peanut sauce. Yuck. Something I have to say is that this packages everything well and I appreciate that. Great take out food!

I can tell you that food was packaged really well. Lemongrass chicken tasted really good but chicken was dry. I asked for white rice but got the ham fried rice which was ok but not my preference. The fried shrimp was the highlight of the meal. Fried to perfection. The fresh spring rolls were ok nothing special but the sauce it came with was spicy. All in all ok food that is reasonable for the amount you get. I will try again and see if it's worth it.

I wanted this to be great but it was just awful.
The Mongolian beef was so awful because it was extremely salty, we couldn't finish it after only 4 bites. It tasted like beef bouillon was added in. It was left on the table.
The Philadelphia roll was okay. The smoked salmon just lacked the saltiness that should come from the fish. I had to dip it in soy sauce to make up the difference in taste. This was the one thing we did finish eating.
Pad Tai had lots of shrimp but it lacked flavor and it was overcooked! It lacked all the other meats it was supposed to have. The rice noodles were so gluey sticky and some were hard crunchy like they were sitting out to long and reused later. We left it on the table.
The egg drop noodle soup came free but it too didn't taste good and lacked seasoning. It tasted like either frozen or canned vegetables. Peas and carrots were in it which isn't the standard.
The service was friendly and good.
Overall, it was very disappointing. In all honestly, we would not go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christian K.Salt Lake City, UT145101292Jan 22, 2023
This place was really good. I liked how they had many different options Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese. The sushi was really good we got the twin rainbow roll and my Fuji. All the doors is affordable and won't break the bank. Service was really good. Our waitress was attentive and served well. The ambiance was nice. Not to loud and they were able to accommodate our large 9 person group.

Is too many choices ever a bad thing...
I was on a social trip with my wife and some friends in the Salt Lake City area and we needed a place for dinner close to the venue we were going to for the night and my buddy A.J suggested Banzai from their good online reviews, so we decided to check them out and hopefully get some good food.
We got their on a Wednesday around 3:30 and had the place to ourselves (lucky for us we were in between the lunch and dinner crowd).
We settled in and quickly started reviewing their huge menu. They had Teppanyaki, sushi, chinese, Vietnamese, they had an enormous menu. It took everyone at the table at least a good 10 minutes just to look at everything on their expansive menu, let alone being able to decided on what to get. Most of my tablemates went with sushi, I felt a bit more adventerous and went with the spicy beef Pho as well as the shrimp egg foo young. Our lovely and very friendly waitress also suggested many great things that we ended up trying as well. All the sushi was good, not great, everyone loved the ones they got and quality was just good but fresh. For me, I thought my spicy Pho was a little heavy on the spice notes but the noodles were good and the meat plentiful. My egg foo young was actually very good, 3 fat little patties on top of grilled shrimp covered in a brown gravy. Overall the service was excellent, very friendly and informative. The food was tasty for the most part, some things were a bit salty but overall still good. Prices were very good for what you get and the quality was fresh but just standard. I definately would love to give Banzai another try if ever I am in the neighborhood again, AlohaHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Emily T.Salt Lake City, UT82013Apr 11, 2023Updated review

Awesome price! Awesome food! It comes out quickly too because it doesn't get very busy. Bathrooms are very clean and there's a sink at the entrance so you can wash your hands. Employees wear their masks and enforce social distancing.

Huge delicious rolls, we had volcano and the low rider which was insanely large and awesome.
We got the pad thai, fresh and again, large. We added shrimp to the pad Thai and it was probably 8 shrimp for an extra $3.
Also the fresh spring ros are the biggest I have ever gotten. Shrimp and Chinese salad in rice paper, very good.
This place is totally worth the price, very good!
Wait staff was nice and very attentive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nick D.West Valley City, UT08Oct 16, 2022
Excellent food some of the best sushi this side of the valley. Highly recommend. The only downfall is the awkward location. But other than that I have nothing bad to say

Good food at a reasonable price. We have been coming here for over 20 years (at the old location).
Great sushi but my all time favorite is the House Special Clay Pot, it's so good has a little bit of every.
