Bahama Breeze

Sigh. I write this review with a heavy foodie heart. I never reviewed this place before although I frequented it very often. Judge if you must.

I went last week and had I known that would be the last time going I would have gotten more food and drinks.

Yesterday this place closed. This was my place to go to make me feel like I was on a temporary vacation. The service was always good. Drinks tropical. Food was wonderful. The jerk wings and beef empanadas were non-comparable. The happy hour with 5.00 mojitos and 3.00 rail drinks...it's nothing that could replace this. And they had all kinds of slushy I'm on an island drinks.

Salmon salad. Jerk chicken. Nachos. Spinach Dip. I believe I have had everything on the menu. I can go on.

There are no other BB anywhere near me. This is so sad.

Bahama Breeze is in a convenient location and I enjoy it because it's a favorite family spot and I'm all about enjoying good company.

The food is so-so and I never really know what to order here so I usually fill up on desserts. The service leaves a little to be desired too even though it's never been really busy during my visits.

It's hard for me to be happy with paying to eat out when I could cook something much better at home but as long as everyone else enjoys eating here, I hope these guys succeed.

MY HEART IS HEAVY AND BROKEN. HAD I KNOW THEY WOULD CLOSE I WOULD HAVE GONE A MILLION MORE TIMES.

I hardly ever ever review corporate restaurants..but after a second experience at this Bahama Breeze location I know it deserved a banging review! So here we go...

Obviously the food is the best thing in existence. Coconut Shrimp? Bangin! Mojitos? Banging! All the rice bowls and Cajun chicken pasta you could feast on! All amazing!!! The wait staff was so attentive and generous.

OHHHHHHHHHH IM SO SAD RIGHT NOW. SHOULD I CONTINUE? Oh I guess so.

Will I never be able to slurp those pasta noodles coated in a buttery Cajun sauce again?!? Will I?!? Oh the horror! I can't continue. Not now while the pain is too fresh!

Stopped in for appetizers. Wife wanted a mojito she wanted a spicy one was not on menu but they talked to the bartender who remember the mojito but still didn't make it the way she likes it. She was not happy.

We had the Jamaica wings and harbonaro wings both were good. She had a side salad which looks good I had a bowl of the seafood chowder which was so delicious my goodness. I felt the deep rich flavor always through my mouth. The soup was not spicy but coming in from a cold outside made me feel good inside.
Lastly the bathrooms here are usually clean however thus trip was the exception. Trash can over filled no mouthwash in the dispenser? I want mint fresh breath too.

Still a good place to eat.

This is a great place to eat and the prices are right for the portions. I have to say that I was impressed when I received my dish and realized that I was getting my moneys worth. The Paella was the dish for me. Shrimp, Scallops, mussels, sausages, mixed with rice and other seasonings, how could you go wrong?
If this is your first time going to Bahama Breeze don't be afraid to try something new because the menu has plenty of detail to help you paint a picture in your head. The drinks are just as good and worth every penny. I ordered a Mojito to see if they are sticking to a true latino restaurant and they passed. The service was great as well. Everyone was friendly and had a smile on their face. Even though I sat at the bar, everyone seemed like they were having a good time.
The next time I go I will try something on the steak side. I can't wait. Enjoy everyone. :)

The food was great here and the Pina colada that I had. However, the wait time was CRAZY! I waited an hour to be seated, then waited a good 15-20 mins for our server to come to the table. Then waited another 15 minutes for our drinks! I was dying of thirst! Lol. She was really sweet though (bless her heart) and didn't mess up our orders or anything, she just was.....never around lol.

That sauce on the firecracker shrimp though!!!! Theeeee absolute best. They're not hot but very flavorful.

I also tasted the shrimp & lobster quesadilla. I liked those as well. I ordered the shrimp & grits for my entree but had to send it back because it had bacon in it. But it looked so delicious. I don't know how I missed that in the menu.

Oh!!! Another good thing is valet is complimentary!!! You just give a tip. SCORE! I'll take a complimentary valet anytime!

This Bahama breeze serves great food and exceptional customer service...however they lost a star because they're very unprofessional when their guard is down.

I was waiting for a table and the two hostess were gossiping about guest and coworkers. Surprisingly another night I came the lady bartender was just complaining about a guest multiple times.

Perfect happy hour spot!

Cocktails: 5/5. I don't know where else to find other great Caribbean cocktails around here. Martini and mojito were delicious! Not to mention the pineapple drink actually served in a pineapple!

Food: 3/5. Lots of options to chose from. However, the couple times I have been to Bahamas breeze none of the dishes were particularly amazing. Then again, most people come for the cocktails and not as much for the food.

Happy hour has amazing deals! Half price appetizers and $4 signature cocktails.

I really really love Bahama Breeze. I wish there was more locations in MD or at least 1 more by my house haha.

OMG the drinks here. Always well crafted, delicious with the perfect amount of alcohol. My favorite is the ultimate piña colada.

The food. OMG I have never had anything here that I didn't like. Seriously. All of it is delicious. My favorite apps are Jamaican wings and the onion rings. The wings!!! Spicy with a good bit of heat. Enough to open your sinuses but not enough for you to drink massive amount of water. As far as main courses... The salad with chicken and fruit is amazing. Fresh fruit. Very good. The coconut shrimp as big and crispy. Wood grilled chicken breast. That citrus butter sauce. Honestly one of the most delicious things I've eaten ever. The fish tacos also very good and a very solid Cuban sandwich. I could go on and on...

Service is always attentive without being to hovering. You can't go wrong with your order. Simply a grande place for lunch, dinner, now that I think about it why isn't this place open 24/7 ?!

1. Rarely do you see a staff that hustles this hard. They help each other and smile. Never see a slacker.
2. Never had a dish I didn't like. Never. Soup to desserts. Excellent. Beautifully presented.
3. Need managers circulating. Many empty tables - like 30 - yet the two of us waited more than 30 minutes for a table. Just not enough staff period. Not the first time I felt this. Hostess told us it was " shift change". Really? Understandably some college kids call off randomly. Need to address this.
4. "Enclosed patio" MUST have shades. Blinding sun - all day according to a waitress. Guests could barely see the staff or each other. It's bad for business to make this much discomfort for a large part of the day. Simple fix. Do it.
