Worst HOA I've ever dealt with. We have to pay for the services.... WHERE ARE THE SERVICES!?
I wish I could stop paying HOA fees because I'm sure I would hear from them after that. I feel like that's the only way to get a hold of them.
I will be showing up in person tomorrow... hope y'all like mad pissed off customers.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Gene S.San Antonio, TX121776Jan 7, 2024

Spectrum has a website that's perfectly set up to collect late fees on your HOA dues. I have Autopay on numerous websites and have never found one to be this confusing to set up PLUS you have to go in and create a new payments annually PLUS the website doesn't save any of your account info so you have to go back in and put it in again every year. If they didn't deliberately design this to confuse people then it sure seems like it. I complained about this SEVEN YEARS AGO and Spectrum STILL has the same website that won't allow me to set up Autopay like every other bill I pay. Still collecting the $20.00 fees. Still only allowed to setup "Autopay" (lol) annually. Was told to "check autopay regularly" to avoid extra fees. How is that even Autopay then?

Spectrum HOA has been horrible lately with billing. I am in the Hills of Rivermist. They also managed a property I owned in the past also. That neighborhood had a playground and we paid our assessment once a year. This neighborhood has quarterly payments. I did not get a bill in the mail for 3 quarters in a row, but I sure received one for a bill plus late fee. Hmmm? I am so mad after paying them for so many years on time. They even gave me inaccurate information when I called last quarter. Our neighborhood has no amenities, and they basically just are a petty pain. I just paid the entire year so I do not have to deal with them!

This is our second summer with a dead park last year some of the bushes died and now the rest of them the big trees are in jeopardy. The landscapers simply drive by NO grass to mow! I contacted spectrum a month ago their reply was seems to be an irrigation problem STILL not a drop of water ALL summer! Dos's Rio & El Frio

Horrible company!
As a Board member I can share that Spectrum is extremely incompetent and terrible to work with. Their drivebys are a joke. They miss countless violations and the ones they do get are because we report them and they don't even follow through with those. They don't return calls or emails from residents and they don't communicate with Board members very well either. We've had countless complaints from our residents. They've been so lacking that we don't even have a rep in our city. Our rep is in San Antonio which is almost 3 hours away and can't effectively manage . Residents have had to take it upon themselves and their own finances to get common area repairs done because Spectrum leaves us hanging and doesn't do their job. This is not what we signed up for. I highly DO NOT recommend Spectrum if youre a Board member in search. Contact me for more details if you'd like.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Traci A.Austin, TX253May 18, 2023
If you are on an HOA Board, I would be very careful in selecting a management company. Spectrum Association Management is not transparent. Be sure to DEMAND live access to the HOA bank account and monitor the funds closely! Although it is in the contract to not "move" more than $1,000 without Board approval, they will claim emergency and move tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars without your approval, nor notifying you after the fact. Also, pay close attention to the amounts billed to homeowner accounts and what is charged back to the HOA account. Needless to say, they are not a good partner to an HOA. There are a few similar reviews to this. Just be SUPER cautious and avoid Spectrum AM at all costs - or the costs will be your HOA dollars gone!!

Recently our subdivision transferred from Spectrum Home Owners Association management to another. This subdivision was birthed with Spectrum. Another HOA management was the association of choice after extensive interviews by our trusted and elected HOA management team consisting of homeowners like ourselves, and an almost revolt from the community to forcibly remove them under contract. It was the consensus of the subdivision to terminate the Spectrum contract; the previous management after years of perceived mismanagement and abuse to our homeowners as reported to us by our trusted management. Where do I begin. Erroneous billing, calls to the HOA unanswered, emails unanswered, concerns unaddressed. Needless to say, many, many of us homeowners, since 2004, were under severe strain and trauma from Spectrum HOA; the previous management. When the day came for transfer of data, the previous management refused to transfer needed data to the new HOA we were told. When it was, they did not account for overage payments. The new HOA took the erroneous data and then took my data to update the errors Spectrum made. Luckily I keep pristine records. When it was transferred from Spectrum, it was very incorrect from an accounting and auditing perspective. While we know there are times for the good of the community, we must abide by rules, and some might get notices to correct an issue. But horrible record keeping and discourteous service should never be tolerated by a community.

I am building a house in a community where spectrum is the HOA and it has been a NIGHTMARE since we started. They mixed up my paperwork to get the plans approved. took for ever. when you call you are on hold for ever. during construction they are just looking to see how they can put a hefty penalty on the owner. it is pure greed.. when you a home there is going to be some spillage of sand etc on the road while they are working but no you have to clean it daily. They put penalty even if the workers get there 5 min early and have not started work or leave 5 min late if they winding up and picking up their equipment. each penalty is $500. The home owners need to quit your job because when they send their citation they will give you one day to fix it.
