Hello Richard, I'm sorry that my company gave you such a bad experience in dealing with us. It is people like you that teaches us how to improve ourselves. We may have some communication issues but there may be reasons why these things happen. I assure you that I paid attention to your concerns and will strive harder to prevent these things from happening again. Thank you Richard for your review.

Business is not professional with this company, I am a very reasonable person but you do not handle business in this way. I went to get an amp, radio, and wiring service from this shop, was told he would have to check all components to see why it was acting that way and should be about 2 hours and he would update me. Vehicle was left around noon. No call that day so I contacted around 5:13pm to see and no answer. Received a call back and was told Hey I was going to call you but we are still working on it, give me until tomorrow I will update you. I said fine, next day no response until the middle of day when I text and asked what's going on. Was told what the problem was and need a whole new amp, wiring and so forth. I said fine and authorized the work to be done. Still no vehicle until the 3rd day I text in the AM any update no response few hours later we are still working on the backup camera few more hours this was at 1:30 or so. By 4:15pm I say I will be there to get the car because I have an appointment, and I will bring the car back if not done when I get there. He tries to say give him until 6:30pm but that did not work for may schedule. I show up he and his team is still in the works and wires are everywhere, stereo system hanging out the dash board, cigarette butt smashed on the driver side floor(I smoke Marlboro lights with a white tip in the photo it has brown tip not mine) and needle nose pliers are inside the frame of the hood. Which I was not aware until I made it home and went through his work. I even left him a few hundred dollars so he felt comfortable that I would bring my car back the following day after my appointment to finish the work. I noticed a lot more issue after coming back from appointment the following day and on my way to drop it off, I discussed how I felt this was not right and they obviously was getting over suspected of joy riding in my car I believe and have 2 scratches and ding with the same color paint on the fence they claim the car was parked everyday. We go back and forth and finally says he will give me a free backup camera and bring the vehicle Monday. I text Monday morning no response, so I had the vehicle done in 4 hours from another shop, and then received a text mid afternoon claiming he was sick and to bring the following day. I simply said its already corrected and asked for a refund. without agreeing he says he will see me tomorrow, so I'm under the impression I'm getting a refund when I make but no he has me come there to get his $40 dollar amp he left in the vehicle and the needle nose pliers, I said no money first and tried to basically take it advising his son to reach in my car and get the pliers. There is more to this that I could detail better. But I am taking this company to court and if anyone else has experienced service similar or worse then mine let me know because I will turn this into a bigger case and go after his company big time. I work in the legal field so I'm aware of the endless possibilities.

This Shop is EXTREMLY knowledgeable, Noel is very customer service friendly I have taken my car to several places here in California to have mods put on and this place blows them all away... very fair pricing... great customer service... Noel even lent me his car to drive while he worked on mine... Now how many places does that? ... I would Definitely recommend this shop for all your automotive needs.

Each time I get a new car, Automod is my go-to for window tint. They do a phenomenal job with quality film (none of that nasty aged-torn purple tint after a few years) and I would go as far as to say they are the best in the AV when it comes to that. I've gone to them with my first 1991 Acura Integra to fix the A/C, tint, radiator, battery, and equip a better alarm system- all priced at a crazy bundle STEAL (And I needed that as a broke college student). Not only are they reasonably priced, but they get the job done quick!
Very happy with my numerous experiences here and have infinite gratitude for Noel and his workers for serving the AV for 20 years. I've referred many of my friends here and they all have nothing but good comments on the service, price, and experience. If you need ANYTHING done related to your car, and I mean that- Automod needs to seriously be on your radar.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Miguel R.Encino, CA0162Dec 7, 2020Updated review
I can't stand businesses that lie. You did NOT do what you said you did. I was never shown the cat converter to see the debris you are talking about. You ordered the part right in front of me, within 10 minutes of talking to me. You had someone verify the code and ordered the part right then and there, without taking a look at anything else. You stayed in front of me the entire time. Also, for the VSA light, not VSC as you state, you had me leave the car for one more day and you "fixed" it, but not really. Don't lie. Admit your mistakes and learn. I would have hoped you learned something from my review and fixed your issues. I guess you didn't.

Greetings Miguel, we visually checked your primary catalytic converter by detaching the secondary downstream units. We found big debris of titanium mesh from the primary and whatever is left of a dilapidated cat. I showed you the debris and you agreed to order the part. On the side note, I don't just order parts for the customer without their verbal nor written approval, as I logically don't want to pay for something that will just come out of my pocket. On the other hand, you mean VSC and not VSP
as you mentioned. I checked on that and told you that you have other issues on your vehicle that requires further diagnosis, but you declined. On the other hand, I told you to bring back your vehicle if the DTC light turns back on since I also mentioned that there are 2 more things that we may need to address w/c are the oxygen sensors and the air-fuel sensor.
Follow this link for you to better understand your issue since you do things on your own, https://www.toyotaarlington.com/blog/2019/11/07/what-does-the-vsc-light-on-toyota-mean/
I hope this helps you and I will be here to assist you if you decide to come back to us. Thank you for your review.Mar 28, 2020Previous reviewI had a P0420 code on my SUV and I brought it to Automod Racing to have it fixed. I walked in and Noel looked up the code and saw that it was for the catalyst system operating below threshold. He had someone plug a meter into my car to see if there were any other codes and it came back with minor issues that do not require immediate attention. Noel immediately decided to order the main catalytic converter since my car has 3 different ones. Two catalytic(Bank 1 and Bank 2) converters feed into one main one. He ordered it without troubleshooting my car and charged me a $600 deposit. When Noel's assistant pulled my car out for me to drive off, I notices the VSP light was on and my car felt shaky. I called Noel and told him to look into it when I bring the car back to have it fixed since the parts were not available. It drove great before I brought it here and now I have a car that shakes like crazy. I have no idea what they did. I brought the car in the next Monday to get the catalytic converter switched out and for them to fix the VSP light that was not there until they messed with my car. The next day they told me that my car is ready for pick up. I picked it up and noticed they did not fix the VSP issue. I told them that it was their responsibility so I left it another day. They fixed the light, but the car doesn't feel the same as before I brought it in. Anyways, the supposedly fixed P0420 code came back the next day. I decided to troubleshoot on my own since I'm well acquainted with mechanical and electrical work. I looked up the code on google and saw that the 0420 code is for Bank 1. I don't know why Noel decided to switch out the main cat. After I saw it was Bank 1, I checked for leaks, checked temperatures at input and output with an infrared thermometer (since a working Cat would drop the temp at the output by around half), and decided to change out the O2 sensors since that's the only thing that was really left. I changed out the cheaper one first (downstream sensor) which costs about 60-70 dollars and voila, it fixed the issue. If Noel would have taken the time to properly troubleshoot, he could have found the issue and prevented me from wasting over $800 on something I didn't need. Oh, and check this, before I left the shop, he said that if I have the same issue, bring it back because the other two catalytic converters might be bad too. I won't be coming here again and would think twice about coming here if I was you. Very dissapointed.

Had my car Stereo installed. Was told would only take a few hours. It took all day! I explained just how I wanted it done both to the clerk and then to the installer. After hearing nothing all day I called them. "Will be ready in 30 min" I was told. So right before closing? I headed over and was sorta rushed to pay without seeing the job. I was uneasy but excited to see the finished job. So I paid the $225 and hurried out to see my car. I first noticed the bits of cut wire and tape and general trash leftover from the job all over my seats and floor. Then I saw the install! It was horrific. A real butcher shop quality effort. The install kit didn't fit and there are gaps on nearly every side. My stereo is a flip up and was installed right below my ac controls display. Opposite of how I told them several times. Once the radio is on it blocks the display. This was a crackhead install complete waste of money! I spoke with staff and they told me "No refunds"! Honestly, I didn't want this clown installer messing anything else up on my car by attempting to "fix" the job. Later it only got worse. I noticed part of my dash was completely cut in half. Simply "floating there not attached at the top. It moves if the touch to stereo or ac controls. Drive over a speed bump or hit a pothole and the stereo sometimes turns off. Turn the car off sometimes it comes right back on sometimes miles later. Do yourself a favor STAY AWAY from this nightmere shop! Go someplace else!!!

They tinted my windows on my BMW M4 a while back. They did a pretty good job. The only problem I had was a little bit of water that comes through a window seal. Other than that the window tint never came off and it remained in great condition. I will be bringing my next car here.

After reading reviews and the business statement from owner Noel, I requested a quote to install a rear sway bar (that I provided) via Yelp. Noel replied with a bid that was very fair.
I called him on a Saturday to discuss details of the installation and to schedule an appointment. Fortunately a suspension technician was available to complete the install that day and I brought in my vehicle.
From afar I witnessed the technician (Mike) carefully placing the auto lift arms to the proper jack points underneath my vehicle. Although he was very familiar with installation of the sway bar, he scanned the installation instructions and verified that all hardware, end links, and bushings were included.
Swift and with confidence Mike began the installation, it was obvious he had experience with suspension systems and double-checked his work. After Mike completed the task, both he and Noel showed me the finished sway bar installation. Clean and simple, done!
Noel spoke with me several times during my visit providing me with great customer service, personal attention, and a sincere interest in my vehicle modification goals.
Before the install I witnessed Noel completing a final check on a tint job. He scanned, wiped inside and out all windows tinted, and wiped down all surfaces that had tinting solution overspray. He then went over the all work completed with the owner of the vehicle before handing over the keys.
Noel has been in business for decades, its refreshing to see this level of customer service in any industry. I have a few other interests for modifications on my vehicles, I will definitely return to Noel and AutoMod to help me execute these visions. A well deserved FIVE STARS!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
