Best baguette in Strasbourg, no contest. It is perhaps the most picturesque French bakery I've seen. Beats Paris. There, I said it, and I live in Paris!
I have fond memories from both:
1) Waking at the crack of dawn to walk through the quiet city-center to this boulangerie for a baguette, fresh out of the rotating brick oven.
2) Staying out until 5am partying at the nearby Café des Anges or Le Living Room, and wandering over for a quick hangover prevention pastry.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - DS C.Long Beach, CA15778223Nov 5, 2014
A must try for this area. Just no coffee, so grab it to go, and do not head to the coffee shop across the way. You are better off finding somewhere else. We had a few pastries that I will post a bit later.

It used to be absolutely delicious, now they are victims of their success. The bread is often overcooked; I like it but if you are a white-and-chewy-bread person, you will not be happy. Their walnut bread is incredible, but I am not a fan of the pastries. Open on Sunday mornings until 1am, very rare in town and worth the long wait.
