Attic Guys

These guys did a great job of cleaning up the attic. They kept the place clean. It's not an easy job to do to go up there and remove all that trash and old construction material.

The only thing I wish for was that they were supposed to come back and finish the paint job we started when we fixed some drywall. But then again they are not painters so I guess I just have to take care of that myself.

The best friendly advice I would give to someone reading this is don't finish paying them everything until they come back and finish the job (even if that means a paint job)

These guys were great. Highly recommend. Only took one day. Super fast, continuous, friendly, and clean. The price was great too.

I wish I could say I had a good experience with Attic Guys, but sadly I did not. I needed my attic cleaned and sealed and my insulation replaced due to rodent activity. The work itself went well, but the follow through was TERRIBLE. There was some damage to the ceiling due to the work (to be expected) but the time it took for them to due the needed repairs was outrageous. It took over two weeks for them to send someone to patch the holes in the ceiling. The patch itself looks terrible and will need to be re-repaired. When I went back to the attic, I found that they've missed some spots where insulation was needed. I've been reaching out to them for over 6 weeks now trying to get this fixed. Time and time again they've scheduled someone to come and cancelled day of. I've had it.

The Attic Guys went above and beyond to clean and protect our house from rodents access and the heating & cooling insulation. They even covered the crawlspace access vents that needed servicing.

With so many attic cleanup companies its best to shop around. This company has been around for a while but they are dishonest. If you hire them make sure everyone on site is an actual employee.

I had them do an attic cleanup for one of my properties. They found that I needed rodent trapping done. Someone came out to set traps and came back to retrieve the traps. They also did some sealing.

Months later I receive a notice that a rodent company was going to lien my property if I did not pay a $725.00 bill for services. I called the company and it turns out they were hired by Attic Guys to do the rodent control and were never paid by Attic Guys.

I assumed everyone on site was affiliated with Attic Guys. Had no idea they subcontracted the trapping and really would have been okay with that.

Problem is they did not pay their subcontractor and the rodent company wanted to lien my property. I discussed it with the rodent company and they decided not to lien my property. Said they would try to keep on Attic Guys although they had invoiced Attic Guys 4 times already and were completely ignored.

That's really shady business practices. To use another contractor, collect money from the customer for all the work completed and never give the subcontractor their share.

This is a review based upon work these guys did in March of 2016 so please read through to see what can happen to you. My moms rental had a rat infestation and I searched to find a good company with good reviews. I got three quotes and went with Attic Guys. They were going to remove the old insulation, sanitize, remove the old insulation and seal the attic up.

They "finished" the job but ended up leaving old insulation in the front yard strewn about. The tenant did not feel it was right of them to leave such a mess but he (tenant) took it open himself to clean it up after the Attic Guys rushed to leave at the end.

Oh well, they were cheap, right???

So here we are a year and a half later and I get a frantic call from the tenant that his girlfriend's head was covered in rat feces after she tried to get something out of the attic. The tenant was so angry and they now refuse to live in the house with their young son because the experience was so traumatizing. They told me they expect us to put them in a hotel until the problem is fixed, again or they might call the city. I feel this part really put me in a bad place because it looks like I lied to the tenants regarding the extent of the repairs. I was lead to believe with words, pictures and an invoice that the job was done, I have since learned it was not.

Last night I contacted Attic Guys through Yelp and through their webpage and I haven't heard back. Due to the severity of the problem I had to find other people to come give me a quote to fix the problem.

After the new company came today, I was quoted THOUSANDS of dollars to fix the Attic Guys job... Thousands on top of the thousands we spent in the first place. To make matters much worse, the inspector today told me the entry points for the Rats were NEVER sealed. It seemed to be his opinion that they didn't even try as the entry points are very obvious and there is no evidence that they sealed the attic which is job #1 when you are addressing an infestation.

When you are rodent proofing, you block the access to the space and the technician today said you can open spots where the attic is and has always been exposed to the open air.

Anyways, is feel like I have been had and on top of it we are in danger of being sued, cited by the city and we are facing another huge expense. This kind of thing is a huge breach of trust and goes beyond being late or a simple miscommunication. This is taking advantage of people because most of us do not have the expertise to know any better.

Now I question if they did other facets of job... did they actually remove the old insulation??? Did they even clean and disinfect? All I can verify is that there was new insulation, what is under that insulation is now called into question.

I attached the invoice indicating they cleaned up and "rodent proofed". Wish us luck

I have to say outstanding service and install. I have had my attic completely serviced. Removed all the old insulation, clean and prep for new install. The instillation was great. They sealed all crevices that I had and put a screen over the air intakes old attic air vents holes. They laid in all new isolation. Looks amazing with the added heat shield I recommend.

If you do not have a quite fan installed I do recommend it. They will professionally install it for you. I use this fan system to cool the house and circulate fresh air throughout the house.

After all the work is done they make a final inspection with you. If you have any issues even after they will help you with anything.

I have had this system installed now for a year with no complaints just a great add to the house. I run the attic cool fan prior of turning on my AC so my AC does not have to work as hard in the hot attic. With the attic staying cool helps keep your house cool.
