Wonderful and welcoming is what I particularly enjoy at my Japanese style restaurant. To add on great food and drinks on happy hour when I am happy (not 5 to 5:30 but basically until 10:30) that is a place I'll need to let my Web friends know about.
I had a sushi bento - very good selection of fish and the traditional Bento hot, cold items and a side of scallop sashimi with a bonus Uni piece (thank you!) that really hit the spot.
Clean welcoming. On my list for next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 25, 2017
Came here the other day for a business lunch and everything at this was sub-par right from food to service. Took a lot of time to flag a server so we could place our order, and our food also took an awful of time to come out. I had the Thai coconut curry, which did not taste like Thai curry at all. My hot sauce request was never acknowledged by the staff.
Surprised to see all the other good reviews, but for me this place was a total let down.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Dec 20, 2017
Asian Station easily has the best lunch deal in the area.
Is it the best food? No. Is the service all that and a bad of chips? No. But it gets the job done, it fills you up, and it doesn't make your wallet cry (unlike so many other places in the area).
I had the ginger chicken since, as I've mentioned in the past, I dislike sushi. It was a lunch special that came with a choice of soup or salad and white or brown rice for $8.95. All that for under $10? Sign me up! My friend did a similar lunch special with sushi and her price was around the same. No complaints there. So if you're on the hunt for something cheap but still good and filling, Asian Station is your place to be.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 30, 2017
My office orders takeout from here since it's on our block.
Pros: large menu, lunch specials (think 2 rolls and a drink and bento boxes), and apparently they have a pretty rocking happy hour.
Cons: Mediocre Asian food- tasty seaweed salad but the wonton soup was tasteless and the sushi is nothing to write home about. But as far as ordering fish for takeout no one's ever gotten sick!
I'd say it's worth checking out their lunch specials if you're craving Asian on a work day but would probably go elsewhere for a dinner out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cara B.New York, NY2874161035Sep 20, 2017
Ordered the beef lunch bento box for lunch on Monday and it was decent. It came with a California roll, a choice of miso /hot & sour /wonton (I ordered wonton), rice, a side salad with ginger dressing, beef teriyaki, and shumai for $11.50. It's a pretty good deal for lunch in manhattan and the amount of food you're getting.
Pros: the salad, the wonton soup, and the shumai were all tasty!
Cons: California roll was a funky tasting and the beef teriyaki was okay.
I enjoyed the flavor of the beef teriyaki on my rice but the meat itself was a little chewy and I had to spit some pieces out. The wonton soup had great flavor and so did the ginger dressing on the salad.
Overall, for $11.50 I ate the rice, salad, soup, and shumai so for me I do not know if it was worth it but maybe I would try it again if I ordered something different.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tony L.Brooklyn, NY16378120Aug 10, 2017
My cousin recommended this place for lunch. It's a little hidden because it doesn't have a sign but he's been here before so we had no problem finding it. The restaurant was dimly lit, good place for a date haha. I ordered the general tso chicken with wonton soup and white rice. The highlight of my meal was definitely the soup, it had some great flavors and hyped me up for the entree. Unfortunately, the general tso chicken was disappointing because the meat was covered in batter and over fried, not a lot of actual meat.
I'm sure other items on their menu are good, but not the general tso chicken. Not a bad spot for lunch though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 183406351Nov 19, 2016
Grabbed the sashimi platter for dinner on a Monday night and did not feel great the next day. The fish tasted okay when I ate it, but the mild food poisoning indicated otherwise.
Guess the never eat sushi on a Monday or Tuesday rule really does apply when it comes to how fresh the food is.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Brian S.Pompton Lakes, NJ0312Oct 17, 2015
My favorite place to go for lunch and occasional late night dinner. Their menu offers many great options from sushi, Thai food, Chinese food, and other asian dishes. I recommend the following dishes:
Appetizer:
Yellowtail Jalapeño
Chicken Lettuce Wrap
Peppercorn squid w/fried garlic
Tuna tartare
Salmon Kama
Rolls
Jade Roll (wrapped in cucumber)
Spicy Girl
Volcano Roll
Sexy Roll
Lunch Specials
Thai Basil Chicken
Mango Chicken
Thai Green Curry
Pad Thai Noodles
Sautéed Chicken and String Beans w/ Thai Chili Sauce
Don't forget the mochi ice cream for dessert!

Oh myyyy..this place is the same as Amaze (I also reviewed this place) with the same menu and food but everything was off. My friends got their bento box lunch and I got the Pad Thai lunch. My pad thai was REALLY bland and I had to put a lot of sriracha on it for it to be edible. My friends had it worse though because apparently the california roll was bad and the box wasn't filling at all. They even started taking bits and pieces from my bland pad thai to make up for how bad their boxes were. I ended up liking my pad thai more because I felt so bad for them :(
I later found out that someone else found a roach in their food here and I'm definitely NEVER coming back. The place didn't feel clean to me and service was a little TOO fast for my comfort. I know that sounds weird but if your food comes out of the kitchen less than 5 minutes after ordering, there's something weird going on.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Allie R.Brooklyn, NY39517678Oct 5, 2017
This place is great, and I mean GREAT, for happy hour. $3 beers from 3pm-10:30pm...does it get any better than that?!
The servers are very nice - they get a little confused when you try ordering two beers for yourself at once because you know you will finish it before they realistically ask you if you would like another, but that is besides the point.
They have a special on sushi prices, but that is only during lunch. If you work in the area and want a place that has good (cheap...$5 or $6/roll) sushi and beer, check this place out!
I will note: the bathroom doors push open from the restaurant side...so do not stand there for 20 minutes pulling on the bathroom door thinking someone is inside like my...friend...did.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
