I searched for so long to find someone who would just hear me when I spoke about what I was experiencing. I had been to so many doctors who kept misdiagnosing me, trying to give me medicine for a quick fix, made me feel like my symptom's were just stress or anxiety.

And then I was referred to Ascent Health by a friend and I sat in my car and cried my eyes out after my first appt here because I was FINALLY HEARD. It was like tons of bricks were taken off my shoulders.

Not only did Dr. Julie figure out the root cause of my symptoms, but she really heard me and made me feel cared for... She worked hard to get to the bottom of what was going on with me and little by little, I started to feel like myself again.

I cannot recommend her enough. If you've ever struggled to find a doctor who hears you and gets to the bottom of your symptoms, then you know how incredible it is when you finally find someone.

Dr. Julie is it.

Dr Julie at Ascent Health Center recently treated our family. It is great having a doctor that is using Applied Kinesiology and is very caring. The location is great, the office has an aquarium to keep the kids entertained and the staff is attentive. Highly recommend Dr Julie.

Dr. Julie has truly been a lifesaver for me over the past 5 years. She has treated my whole person and helped me heal physically and emotionally. With her care I was able to avoid having spinal surgery on herniated disks in my neck. She has helped me stabilize my hormones and through NET helped me navigate a very traumatic time in my life.
Dr. Julie has also treated my children and helped us to maintain wellness.

Just left and was not impressed with my first visit.

I walked in, a girl said hi, I said hi, then silence. Another girl walked up, said hi, I said hi, then silence. After a pause she asked if I was Rebecca, I said yes, and then silence. After another pause she asked me to fill out some paperwork. As I was filling out paperwork I asked about the payment page. The girl at the front desk asked, "nobody went over the payment part before you came in?" I said no, and she went on to explain that they don't accept insurance but sometimes if you have exceptional insurance they will cover some of it, but they can't be certain. The paperwork took about 30 minutes to fill out and I still wasn't done with it by the time the second girl took me back into a room.

We started with some kind of hand monitor screener thing. This process took about 5 minutes, and there was a video that kind of explained it but not really. The results were never mentioned to me or discussed with me. The second girl took it out of the room when it was finished. A couple minutes later Dr. Julie came in and introduced herself. Personally I feel like a short, skin tight dress isn't really what I expect my chiropractor to wear.

We started going over my concerns and lifestyle to best determine what we should be working on. The second the word "vegan" came out of my mouth, she interrupted me to tell me I need meat to be healthy. I tried to explain my reasonings and views, as well as express that I didn't think she would be a good fit for me as one of my doctors if that's how she honestly felt about the subject, but she kept talking over me.

With hesitation and the feeling that I was stuck in this appointment, we continued the appointment. She tested the strength in my body of certain areas and then worked on the ones that were more weak. She offered acupuncture, but I declined. She decided to do a pulsing tool instead and I laid down in the room for 15 minutes while that process continued. At the end of the appointment she gave me some contacts for a family doctor, and walked away. No goodbye, thanks for coming in, or nice meeting you.

The first girl I encountered at the front desk was there but was helping other people. I finished the paperwork from before, put it on the desk and started to walk out. The girl stopped me and asked if I had paid, I hadn't because I thought they were just going to bill me or charge my card on file since nobody directed me as to what to do next. I went back to the desk and started to get my credit card out when she realized she had a card on file. I said thanks and started to leave again. Then she asked if the second girl had copied my drivers license and insurance card. I said no, and walked back to the desk again, got out my cards, waited for them to be copied, and finally left.

Neither of the girls ever introduced themselves, I have no idea what their names are, it seemed like they were distracted and unorganized, and Dr. Julie wasn't much more impressive unfortunately. Maybe they were all having an off day, I'm not sure, but I'm fairly certain I would not go back.

Oh and keep in mind this appointment cost me at least $195, out of pocket.

I've been seeing Dr Julie for almost 20 years! She been practicing Functional Medicine since before it was even a thing! She's the only one I trust with my health.

I had to update my review from 2009. I've been seeing Dr Julie on and off over the past 10 years. I am generally healthy and rarely see a primary care doctor. If I ever feel like I need to see a physician I see Dr Julie.

I've always been a fan of alternative medicine and have tried to stay healthy without use of prescription drugs, I don't even take aspirin. Over the years I've seen other chiropractors (I've had recommendations) and acupuncturist (my landlord is an acupuncturist, she's very good too) I've worked out with personal trainers and have had nutritional advice given to me. What sets Dr Julie apart is she's extremely knowledgeable and intuitive in healing the body and keeping it running in optimum condition.

I've never had any problems with billing or any of the supplements I've purchased from there. The front desk has always been on top of everything.

We did have an issue with a long wait but she acknowledged the problem and I haven't had any issues recently.

Because I see her for both chiropractic and acupuncture my sessions are approximately 45 mins.

Horrible service on top of horrible attitudes from the front desk. The lady in the front is extremely sarcastic and rude. I've waited up to an hour and a half when I have a scheduled appointment. The Dr. only cares about selling products for more than they would cost elsewhere. Don't even get me started on their COVID protocols..no mask central. Truly poorly ran.

UPDATE REVIEW:

In late March of 2016, I started seeing Dr. Julie for several issues, weight loss, my neck which was injured in an auto accident, and for just my overall wellness.
I am beyond thrilled to report, that I have not felt this good in a very long time....as in years!
Like most, I tried many diets with limited success, only to regain it. I have lost a total 43lbs!

Without a lot of details let me say several surgeons said Disc Replacement Surgery would be my only course of action.
I did receive Stem Cell therapy from Premier Regenerative Stem Cell & Wellness Centers, and along with that, Dr. Julie's care. I feel I am 70% better! No surgery!

Wellness for most of us is a choice, we want it...we are just not dedicated to go and get it.
With Dr. Julie's medical expertise, her coaching, her encouragement, I am finally on a great road to wellness.
