Lately I've been reflecting on all that has made Petaluma great for my family in the five years that we've been here. Arts in the Garden is up there with the best! My daughter spent two years at this magical preschool, exploring nature in the beautiful garden and letting her creativity run free. Every day she was seen and heard for her ideas, letting them flourish, and this has helped her maintain a self-assurance and ability to think for herself even as she goes into 2nd grade. Thanks to Amy Rose and the whole Arts in the Garden alumni for all of our treasured memories.

I really enjoyed the tour and seeing all the artwork so we applied right away and submitted our application fee. I never got a response from the director whether we got in or on the waiting list. I even followed up via email - I thought that was unprofessional since we paid the fee and followed the process. Furthermore, I didn't like how you don't know any of the teachers backgrounds or experience with children. Their web page just has the Directors information. Plus on top of the tuition there's $600 in fees which should just be included in tuition price.

Hello ~ I apologize for this oversight/miscommunication regarding the amount of open spaces that were left. We have reached out privately to explain and rectify the situation. We also sent a follow-up email to you as soon as we had space open this past fall. In regards to other statements made, we are unsure of the basis of these comments as full disclosure of information is provided in the application packet received at every tour, as well as opportunities to talk with and ask questions about the teachers. We are happy to respond privately again if needed and wish you and your child the very best.

Our son has been attending this school since February 2013. It is such a warm, nurturing environment, enriched with art, craft infused with a keen appreciation of the natural world. It has enhanced his curiosity in so many ways. He moves on to kindergarten this summer and is already so sad to leave!
ADDENDUM: So we actually could not leave! Decided to treat him to afternoons at Arts in the Garden, so he could continue to enjoy his favorite teachers, friends and the gentle environment we all cherish so much. (There is a license for a few school age children each day.)
Do your child the ultimate favor and visit Arts In The Garden!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ramin R.San Francisco, CA123120124Nov 25, 2016
Our daughter has been with Arts for a year and half now. She started very young there and quickly and seamlessly fit in and became comfortable with the space, fellow little monkeys, and teachers. Amy is an amazing teacher and reassuring presence. The space is amazing with many little nooks, rooms, and play areas where the children can explore, play, and learn. I'm very impressed in the focus on bringing the school's families together and celebrating community. We are very proud of our daughter and we know most of that is because of AITG!

My daughter spent two years at Arts in the Garden, and it was every bit the wonderful and magical school that I hoped it would be upon taking my initial tour. My girl has moved on to kindergarten, but I was reflecting this weekend how unbelievably grateful I am that she had the time at AITG under Amy's amazing teaching. She came home with incredible art projects that still decorate our home. Additionally, she came home with a love of science from the children lead discoveries that were a part of everyday curriculum at AITG. I would highly recommend this program to parents looking for a play based preschool for their little ones.

This school has been a wonderful place for my son over the past nearly two years, and my daughter for almost a year. A beautiful, peaceful spot with so much to engage the children in play, creativity, and learning, as well as caring and nurturing staff who are beloved by the kids. My kids are very different, but each has thrived here. It's a lovely community of kids, parents, and staff...when I visit, I want to stay all day and soak it up!
