Q:
Do they offer delivery with Uber Eats? there are almost no Grubhub drivers so my orders always take over an hour and is usually cold when I finally get it. Uber Eats is much faster.

Hi! I am not sure, you can try calling them, maybe they will. 😇

Are there vegan options (no egg, no dairy, no fish sauce, no meat)? Thank you.

Good authentic chinese food, love the basil chicken and garlic noodles
Fast and great service

Very reasonable and they make their noodles from scratch. Tracy the owner is very nice.Jan 19, 2022Previous reviewGood authentic chinese food
Love their garlic noodles and basil chicken with eggplant, reasonable price too - Ray L.Albany, CA571361Apr 26, 20241 check-in
The service was fine since the waitress quickly got us seated and food was also hasty.
I would say the ambience is pretty quiet since it's not very busy either.
The food was not as good as my parents remembered and I would sadly have to agree. There are probably better items that are on the menu that they can cook better, but the Beef Noodle Soup and Tomato Beef Chow mein were not up to standards.
The noodle soup had no beef flavor at all. Most of the beef flavor came from the beef slices itself. The broth was light and noodles were tender, but it just wasn't enough to fulfill what its name suggested.
The tomato beef chow mein was too sour. It didn't have the balance of sweet and sour from the tomatoes and vinegar. It was also too wet for a chow mein. The noodles were fine, but i just couldn't bring myself to finish it. Some of the bell peppers were also undercooked.
Overall I would recommend giving this place a try, but I would suggest avoiding the tomato dishes at all costs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 3, 2024
We had no idea what to expect. We were looking for a lunch spot after going to the movies. Decent yelp reviews and kid wanted dumplings after Kung Fu Panda 4. For sure, this place is about the food. Not fancy- definitely no frills decor. But, wow are the soup dumplings and wonton soup amazing! Pan fried also really good. And they were so nice. No pic of soup dumplings bc they were gone in 5 min.
My daughter and I give two thumbs up.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 11, 2024Updated review3 check-ins

I enjoyed a nice bowl of Wor Won Ton Soup at Ark Chinese Restaurant for lunch.
It was 12 noon, and I just finished up my doctor appts nearby. I had some time, so I popped into the Ark restaurant. I asked for "Wor Won Ton Soup for here, " and a glass of water. The place was busy with takeout orders. I had to wait about 25 mins. By this time, the place started filling up with students on lunch break.
My Wor Won Ton Soup had a rich broth, 9-10 dumplings, shrimp, chicken, beef and some veggies. The plump dumplings were the star of the show.
Price: $11.95 + tax.
Service was fair. She was very busy with takeout orders.
No frills decor.....it's all about the food.
Good food, at fair prices. Street parking and parking lots.Helpful 21Thanks 2Love this 15Oh no 1Apr 18, 2020Previous reviewI read the reviews, some good and some poor. Didn't know what to expect. I'm 3rd Generation ABC, born in San Francisco. Been to good and bad restaurants, and formal Chinese banquets.
The food here is delicious. It's made by good cooks. The takeout service was a little slow at dinner time. Once the orders were assembled, the line of 5 customers were moved out quickly. I waited about 10 mins. (This review is during the Covid-19 health emergency, and only takeout service is available).
I ordered the Yang Chow Fried Rice, Salt and Pepper Prawns, and Mu Shu Pork.
- The Yang Chow Rice was excellent. It was fresh, moist and made with ample ingredients. A little known secret of Chinese restaurants is that the leftover white rice from the night before is used to make fried rice. That's why your fried rice is like leftovers...oh oh. But not here, my rice was fresh, moist and tasty!
- Salt and Pepper Prawns: This was a pleasant surprise. Stir fry prawns, dry string beans, and seasoning that gives it a little heat. I didn't ask them how they prepared the dish. I've seen it made different ways. This is by far the best style!
- Mu Shu Pork: shredded cabbage with Pork, served on pancakes with plum sauce. How can you make it better? Well, they use thicker pancakes so they don't tear or rip as you eat them. The filling is fresh and tasty.
If I went again, I would show up early and expect to wait in line when I go to pick the order. - Eric E.San Leandro, CA092May 15, 2024
Service was slow for the food dine in section and the long wait for getting the bill. The vegetables were kinda dry and needed more sauce ; I was kinda disappointed in the quality of the noodles but the pancakes and veggie spring rolls were pretty damn good
The ambience was pretty basic Chinese place and the tables were excellent! Big especially the ones with the moving serving areaHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 22, 2023Updated review
Still one of my favorite spots in Alameda for Chinese food. Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings and spicy beef stew noodle soup (made with hand pulled noodles) are my staple menu items. Prices still remain very reasonable too. Located right in the middle of Park Street and Central Ave, around the corner from the movie theatre.

Tried a new dish yesterday: stewed beef chow fun with gravy (around $13 before tax). It was a tasty dish with wide rice noodles that you can taste a hint of wok hei (smoky flavor from wok cooking) even though it was drenched in gravy. Just note there's not a lot of actual beef steak/stew meat, but instead more gristle, tendon, and slices of stomach lining. So if that's your thing, you will absolutely like it. Flavor was great for me and dish is filling for a hearty entree for 1 person or dish to share between 2 to 3 people.
Also, I ordered their xiao long bao (soup dumplings). It is 8 bite-sized dumplings that come with a black vinegar dipping sauce that contains thin ginger slivers. Be careful popping one into your mouth right after they first come out served steaming hot onto your table. Use the chinese soup spoon to eat these and catch any soup broth that escapes when you first puncture or bite into the dumplings.
I didn't get my usual dishes of beef stew hand pulled noodles and/or the egg tofu but I am happy that prices are still very affordable here. I'll still continue to support and visit this local restaurant whenever I get the chance. Note they close between 3 to 5pm to prepare for dinner service.Dec 22, 2015Previous reviewThey are under new ownership and management, and they have listened to their patrons' suggestions and improved their food. One of my favorite things to order here is the Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings (8 pieces) for $6.99 and their egg tofu dish (about $9 or so). I also tried the Beef Stew noodle soup ($6.99) and the noodles are not super thick or rubbery like those made at Shan Dong in Oakland. The broth was nicely flavored with tender pieces of beef flank and some bok choy greens. You can add roasted chili oil to make the soup spicier. Plus-side are the prices and downtown location (Park St), which allow you to stop in for a quick meal before/after shopping or a movie. Just be aware they close between 3 to 5pm to prepare for dinner service.

It's been a while since we've been to Ark Chinese Restaurant. The food is flavorful and delicious. They don't skimp on serving size which I have seen at many restaurants. I asked Andy, the owner, which soup I should try and we decided on the Beef noodle soup, it was delicious and lots of flavor. Good choice. There were plenty of tables open. This place is casual to don't worry about getting dressed up. I'll definitely be back for the hand pulled noodles and egg tofu.

Feb 8, 2012Previous reviewWe were in the mood for chinese food and went to Ton Shen restaurant. They are closed on Sundays so we headed to Ark as our second choice. We really enjoyed the hand pulled noodles we ordered the chow fun, Ark house noodles and chicken and broccoli. All were flavorful,.the portion sizes were on the small side so thank goodness we ordered a little more. I highly recommend you try this place if you are in Alameda.
Another visit, Oct. 2013
You can order lunch plate all day, it's basically an entree item over rice, we order a rice plate in addition to other courses if we don't want to pay for rice and share family style. - Naveen D.Alameda, CA0188Apr 2, 2024
Very good food here, a good place for takeout. The inside is cool but less and less people seem to have been dining in.

Food was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. Was looking for a small family owned experience just like it, and it totally fit the bill. I will be back.

Came here as a kid alot growing up and their food was pretty good. Decided to check this place out again and would say their food is still pretty decent.
I ended up picking up 2 wontons and a braised egg tofu dish. The total came out to $36 dollars which is definetly a good deal IMO. Both dishes were yummy but my favorite was the egg tofu dish. Their tofu is fried but super soft in the inside mixed with sauce and veggies.
The food also only took 10 mins which was a plus too!
Definelty would come back if craving some food in the area!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
