Came in with a Groupon and no one gave me that look- "ugh, what a cheapskate !"
Everyone was very welcoming here.
Blaire did my gel manicure. She was very professional, fast and fun! She made time go by super fast and has really great conversation. If you don't or would rather not have the chit chat, then don't talk or pretend to sleep. I personally love talking and really enjoyed our conversation. She even told me what she was doing and why at each step of the way. Informative nail session I would say. Oh yeah! She also does a good job. Take a look! :)

I just had a magical gel mani done by Elicia and I'm so happy I found her and this place. I had a great experience here from start to finish. The woman who booked my appointment was friendly and got me an appointment with short notice. I took a chance with a Groupon since this salon is so close to me - and I'm so glad I did.

I was about ten minutes late for my appointment and Elicia was still able to accommodate me (which I really appreciate because I know it sucks when people are late for scheduled appointments). I picked out a fun summer OPI pink and Elicia did a wonderful job w the mani, taking care to achieve the shape I requested (pointy but more almondy than cat-claw) and she nailed it. (see what I did there?!) We had great conversation and I am looking forward to going back. A regular gel mani is reasonably priced at $30. (Gel removal is $5 but if you did the gel there, they will remove it for free).

Before leaving, after finding out Elicia also does hair, I inquired about specialty color which I've been wanting to do. (And I've been looking for a new hair place after my mortifying hair-dye experience earlier this year - documented in the longest review I ever wrote... but I digress..). Elicia sat down with me and gave me a consultation letting me know what is available.

I'm looking forward to getting my hair done here in the future. Their hair rates are also reasonable and Elicia is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. That's the combo I want for my beauty time!!!

UPDATE 8/2: One week later and it looks like I JUST got my nails done. No chips, breaks or anything else. AMAZING!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience here.

I bought a groupon deal for a manicure. Since I work in Downtown LA and this location is in Glendale, I have to drive through traffic to get there right after work. The first time I tried going, I left work at 6 and got there at 6:30pm. I thought 30 minutes before closing would be enough. However, when I got there no one was working. The receptionist said that all the workers either felt sick or had personal issues so they all left work early. I was a bit annoyed but scheduled an appointment for the next day anyways.

The next day, I was 10-15 minutes late for my appointment because I had to rush from a friend's surprise proposal party that took longer than expected. This salon didn't try to accommodate or reschedule for a same day appointment for me at all. I would totally understand if I didn't already come the first time around. All that gas I wasting driving back and forth was SO not worth it.

So my recommendations for future clients: make an appointment and don't be late because they don't care about working around your schedule or needs. I've been to countless nail salons and they have all been much more accommodating. So I won't be returning and Groupon refunded my money back.

Making the appointment was easy and they even include email updates to confirm your appointment and one more than twenty four hours before (I think it was two days) to ensure the appointment works well for you. They have a rescheduling fee if you don't reschedule 24 hours before the appointment.

I had a gelicure by Blaire along with a pedicure. As for the pedicure the place is very clean, the chair is a massage chair that is very comfortable. When bathing feet it's a little bubble bath. Perhaps I am simply amused since I've never really been to a lot of salons (or the salon in general), but she also did a scrub that was so amazing!
The gelicure was nice. I'm not so sure you should come if you are looking for more of a complex, Asian kind of design with all of the bells and whistles (then again I didn't ask) but Blaire is very nice and friendly and gets the job done. If you want an extra cost or layer just ask and she is happy to do so.

Juli Ann was amazing as well! She blow dried and styled my hair into curls.She's very good with understanding her customers even talked about how much a princess I was. She's very friendly and easy to talk to. When she finished my hair she was very pleased with the results and even took pictures for herself and took a couple with my phone as well.

What is amazing about this place? Everything. From the ambiance, staff, and service, it will make you want to come back.

Great OPI gel manicure by Samantha. Cute place, loved the vibe. Samantha is very friendly and will do an amazing job. I chose a very light color, so it is a little difficult to see in the pictures. I love it!

Also, I used a Groupon. They were very friendly. This is not a place that will treat you shabbily because you have a Groupon.

I have always been a tough critic when it comes to nails. I often find my own manicure looking better, with less imperfection than what I get at salons , though they use less than 1/3 the time I need to do the job and usually last longer.

I was very skeptical before I came to Ariada, with the inflated amount of fake reviews everywhere , from Yelp to Amazon, my expectation of this highly rated salon is very low since I got a killer Groupon deal.

I was blown away by the experience, especially with how much I paid... I usually have longer acrylic nails and hate short nails. Never got decent looking manicure when my nails are short but since I took off my acrylic nail to give my natural nail a rest for weeks, they have been chipping and I kept them really short.

Elicia did such a great job, ( This got to be the best stubby manicure I got all my life), I decide to go back to get matching gel pedicure in 2 days without a Groupon!

Blair did my pedicure and at first I was slightly nervous since I didn't know if she would be as good, but her work was as good as Elicia. And I feel good paying regular price for it.

It has been a while since I last write a long review, but I just can't wait to compliment these girls. Elicia's work ethics and passion for her job touched me. She cared about details of my nails as much as I do and as mentioned by other reviewers, they even offer to take off your gel nails for free if u had it done with them. I just can't ask for more from a nail salon. Even at a time when I might not want to spend extra on nails, I would feel happy to be their patron.

Keep up the great work girls!

PS. I will update after days/weeks how long my nails last. But u be the judge, I am posting my amazing nails with the review.

Elicia conditioned and blow dried my hair, I could not be happier!!

I had a great experience at Ariada. Rachelle totally outdid herself with my highlights. Oh soooo many foils made my color natural and sunny. She was also such a doll and we had a great conversation. She also put a toner in my hair that really helped the blonde color look natural. I've never had that before at any other salon.

I loved how there was coffee and snacks when i came in.

My husband was thrilled with my new look and also with the entertainment weekly magazines that kept him busy during my appointment.

i'll be back for sure.

I'm in love with this place. If you haven't stopped by you are absolutely missing out. I don't normally get salon services cause I'm so particular about my hair. I went to get a Brazilian Blowout cause I've heard great things about the service.

First of all, they booked an appointment for me late on a Sunday cause they knew I was looking forward to getting it done soon. I couldn't be happier with my results!! It's crazy that my hair is absolutely frizz free and dries straight. I can shower and leave the house with wet hair and it'll dry looking like I just came out of the salon.

Elicia is a pro with hair, you can tell how experienced she is right away, she asks questions and listens and was so gentle with my hair. I loved my experience so much I brought my mom to the salon to get the same service with her!

Tonya, the owner, truly makes the salon feel like home and Veronica the esthetician is also amazing. My cousin sees her every week for a stubborn skin condition on his arms. He saw results within the first visit and is loving it.

I can't say enough good things about this salon. I'll be back soon and I definitely recommend going to my loved ones.

l bought a Groupon for this salon. I have short asian black hair and was in need of a trim and even shorter reverse A-line bob (long in front, short in back) and wanted to try out highlights for the 2nd time.

I was glad to have James S. do my hair. He was attentive, sweet, and took his time.

I had expressed that I didn't really want to do anything too damaging to my hair. So, the red highlights didn't really show up unless I stood out in bright sunlight. He gladly told me that if I wasn't satisfied with the highlights to come back in 2 weeks time which I did. He did end up having to bleach my hair, but I loved the red highlights.
I appreciated that he started off conservative in my haircut, but was willing to cut more off in the back when I asked him to. I also appreciated his non-nail scratching relaxing hair massage as he washed my hair.
