This is one of the tastiest spots to visit in the South Hills. You'll find Arancini House within Mt. Lebanon's business district. You just have to keep your eyes peeled for their door and walk down stairs to their lower level location (I believe the elevators in the building can also get you there).
Arancini House is cozy and unassuming, but don't be fooled by their humble set-up. Behind the counter are some of the friendliest staffers I've ever spoken to. They love answering questions and chatting with their customers. And they make fantastic, freshly baked food!
They offer a nice selection of arancini, including a weekly rotation of veggie options. I'm especially fond of the Al Burro (Bechamel cream sauce, prosciutto di cotto, peas). Also available for diners are wedding soup, a couple salads and fried appetizers, sandwiches, and homemade dessert. And of course, their generous helpings of pizza!
I highly recommend stopping in here and exploring the menu at your own pace. At least one arancini is a must, of course. Just be ready to come back for more - in my experience these tasty treats are filling and satisfying!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

Now open til 7 every day! Love this place. Love the food, love the staff, and love the feeling In my stomach after I inhale one of their delicious arancini balls. Their pizza and sandwich rolls are equally tasty and I also love their soups!
Joe and his staff are 100% friendly and their pride in their product shines through every time I'm in there.
Looking for something fun, different, and delicious to bring home for dinner? Give Arancini House a shot...your family will thank you.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karolyn A.Pittsburgh, PA145145214Apr 15, 2020
I just ordered delivery from Arancini House. I've wanted to try them out for a long time, but I'm never really in the neighborhood so I kept putting it off.
Well, I finished a home workout and was hungry and the idea struck me: I really want Arancini.
Because of Stay-At-Home, I wanted to make the delivery fees worth it. I ordered an Al Burro Arancini, an Eggplant Parm roll for me and one for my guy (who doesn't always come down from the home office to get a proper lunch) and a Margherita Pizza for dinner tonight!
The Arancini was definitely the star of the meal. Makes sense, as it's Arancini House! The Eggplant Parm roll was filled with gooey goodness. Eggplant Parmesan is one of my Ride-Or-Die meals, so it was extremely satisfying in a reasonable lunch portion.
I can't wait for this quarantine to be over. I'm going to go to the Arancini House and get a nice rice ball (and a cannoli to boot!)Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0Business owner information

Ps. The Cannoli are bomb and so is the Donnoli! - Nicholas B.Pittsburgh, PA47123Jun 24, 2020
I argue with myself every time I walk by. "You don't need a rice ball today! Keep walking!"
Everything they make is great. I live their rice balls, obviously. Their bolognese is awesome. My wife loves the broc and cheddar ball.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Another place that thankfully has online ordering and delivery. Food is solid with good flavors. However, the portions are small for the price, enough so that even the SO who is much smaller than myself commented on it not being enough food for the price.
Short of it is for the flavors and a couple less common dishes its worth trying as a splurge but not a place I'd frequent.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks for the good review, Nick! We’re happy you loved the flavors of everything. We’re really sorry the portions were a little smaller than you’re used to getting. We hand make everything on our menu from scratch and also get a lot of our ingredients imported from Italy. This definitely skews our prices a little higher than some. We hope to see you again soon :-)

This place is great. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Got the Balls (arancini's), just so good. Had the original and the banana pepper. Such a good lunch or snack.

Mar 2, 2018Previous reviewThis place is a little gem. The staff is so friendly and if you have a question be sure to ask. Stopped in recently to get an arancini because it had been to long and we were looking for some Cibo Di Strada. We picked up a couple of different arancini which are a great snack or meal and a pizza.
Nov 17, 2014Previous reviewCibo Di Strada (Sicilian Street Food!). Homemade dough for the bread and great tasting Arancini (Little Oranges - filled with risotto and bolognese with peas. Delicious!
This little place has some panelle sandwiches, pepperoni rolls, sausage and pepper rolls, and homemade cannoli.
AH has breakfast items, too.

What an absolute find. I read about the little hidden gem in a local magazine and was immediately hooked by the claim of "bagels imported from Brooklyn". I was not disappointed.
It's a bit difficult to find the location as it is inside a larger building and down a set of steps, but that is legitimately the closest thing I can find to a complain about this place.
I was immediately greeted by Joe behind the counter and he was responsive to questions and more than pleasant in demeanor.
I ordered 2 bacon, egg, and cheese bagels and 2 "Donollis" (a absolutely startling mashup of a donut shell and cannoli filling that is so decadent it should come with a warning) and the food was freshly prepared in plain sight while Joe interacted with the customers.
The food was delicious. The environment was more than pleasant, and I am anxious to have another excuse to visit and try more of the traditional Sicilian street food. 10/10- could not recommend higher for a casual bite.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We have going to Arancini House since it opened. It never fails to please. While they offer more than arancini, why order anything else? These things are authentic and made right there. We have tried all varieties of arancini offered, but prefer the Original. All are delicious. This family-owned business is worth the trip downstairs in the Executive Building, and the owner and staff/family are very friendly.

An authentic slice of NY in Mt. Lebanon I had a slice of cheese pizza, and it was delicious! The crust was perfect and chewy. Also, the owner Joe is incredibly friendly - makes you really want to support the business.
As a note, the restaurant is downstairs.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
