$12.99 for just the exterior wash and $39.99 for the Platinum wash which includes inside vacuum.
Even though the car goes on a conveyor belt, it's the human elbow grease that scrubs and cleans.
The weird thing is that they skimp on the last rinse step so your car is still full of soapy suds at the end of the journey.
This car wash uses the least amount of water which is good for the environment but bad for a clean car.
Workers uses microfiber towels and manual labor to dry off your car.
The employees here don't speak English well (if, at all) but they're hard workers so I always give them a tip.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 14, 2018
If you have ever driven from LA to San Francisco on the 5 freeway, you would know that you encounter a lot of bugs hitting your car while driving on the highway. My car had so many dead bug stains on the body and the windshield that it was very hard to see the road.
After arriving in South San Francisco, I was looking for a car wash where I can get my car cleaned because one of my pet peeves is having a dirty car. Using Yelp, I found Aqua Handwash & Gas and it was close to our hotel.
Aqua Handwash had a car wash special for $10. For $10, you get a car wash by hand which was such a great deal. The staff took the time to thoroughly clean my car and did a great job. I really got my moneys worth.Helpful 30Thanks 0Love this 31Oh no 0 - 267674366Jan 20, 2020Updated review

These folks are awesome! Super friendly car wash and they a very detailed when putting the finishing touches on your vehicle. They have a tented waiting area with tables and benches. They are speedy too so there's not a long wait even when they're busy. I've been here twice so far off of Yelp recommendations and I'm a very satisfied customer. My ride's been super clean inside and out!

If your car is covered in ASH like mine, then GO!
I came home from my 2-week trip to Korea to a dirty, ashy car covered in grey dust. I mean damn, I thought the air quality there was bad! As if breathing this air couldn't get worse, if you're like me and have to park your car outdoors, then your car might be due for some TLC too.
I originally found Aqua car wash on a Groupon deal. HINT HINT: If the Platinum Car Wash deal is still on Groupon, GET IT! I got it over a year ago, and even though I can't purchase any more, I still go back.
The Platinum Service is about $40, and includes exterior and interior cleaning with armor all, wheel cleaning, tire dressing, the works. They take great care and do HAND WASH your car. I'm always in and out within about 30 minutes.
With so many back-logged reviews, I would never take the time to Yelp a car washing service unless it was worth it!
Net net: Take that drive to SSF!Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Anna M.Antioch, CA63420Apr 14, 2019
Came in yesterday for a Platinum Service. They use to have 3 choices of service, but I guess they only have 2 now. It's really pricey for the quality. While the exterior cleaning was good, the interior was so so (this is specifically for the vacuuming). The wipe down of the interior was great but it looks like they hardly vacuumed at all. There was still debris in the inside of my car (both front and back). 3 stars for expensive price and poor quality/attention to detail.
May need to search for another car service that will deliver 100%.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4166062149Nov 5, 2017
Thank goodness there are people who know how to make a car sparkle! When I lived in Los Angeles it was a weekend ritual to clean my car. I was not alone in this weekend task, it is the ritual of most Angelinos. We spend so much time in the car, you must keep your ride sparkling!
Truth be told, I was stocked to the max with the latest and greatest cleaning products: wax/seal/wash/rinse/repeat supplies one needed to stay fly. My ride was "clean" all day everyday. This was only possible because I had a driveway and water hose. Living in San Francisco not only do I not have access to a driveway, there most certainly isn't even a spot to bring a water hose on the street.
The only solution is shelling out $30-40 a few times a month to keep my ride looking fresh. The wash quality of my usual spot was sub-par to begin with. The wait was too long and they didn't do a complete job. When they raised their rates for the same sub par service I said hell to the naw and saught out a new car care taker.
Searching via the Yelp app, The only car wash to have a 4 star rating was outside of the city *sigh*. When you're from a city that puts so much value on what car you drive and how it looks, you'll do the unnecessary for you car. Such as drive 20 Minutes for a car wash. Yeah, I did. But it was worth it you guys. All in my car was vacuumed, washed inside/out an dried in under 30 minutes. It was sparkling clean. No dirt left in between the door, no water left under the trunk, it was clean! The kind of clean where you roll slow, so everybody sees you. Aqua is my new car wash headquarters.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Dec 2, 2017
Great carwash. This carwash reminds me of the good ol' carwashes we have in Chicago. With all of these weird "waterless" or machine carwashes around SF, it's great to see an old school, water using, handwash car wash. There's no better way!
Aqua has reasonable prices, do a quick yet clean job on the card, and friendly service. It's my go-to carwash.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Gmo G.San Bruno, CA2213621Apr 16, 2019
This is my new go-to car wash in the northern peninsula . Out of all the formerly full service washes (Westlake, Millbrae , south city and aqua ) this is the best . Millbrae changed from full service to self service only and now is really no better than a gas station car wash , south city shut down so apartments can be built there , West lake changed from a touch less wash to automatic brushes , leaving aqua as one of the only Hand washes (besides chevron on el Camino in san bruno ). Hand washes are much better for your paint than spinning brushes . However I do miss the speed of Millbrae car wash under the prior owners when they would open both wash bays . The wait at aqua can be long especially on the weekends.
So why only 4 stars instead of 5? Besides the wait , The interior cleaning and rim cleaning can be hit or miss depending on who is working in your car . I usually get the platinum package and sometimes my dash is armor alled and sometimes it's not . But of course you can always point out any flaws and they are happy to spend the extra time or even run the car through the wash again.
Lastly I wish they would teach their guys better technique to minimize micro scratching (wipe the car from the top down , don't reuse a cloth that fell on the ground as the Little Rock's the rag picks up will put scratches in paint )Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 24, 2019
The men and women who work here are under the sun putting in some WORK!! They efficiently clean the car as if it were an assembly line! First step, they vacuum the interior, and then run it through the wash. Once the car is out of the wash, they wipe down the body and mirrors. Lastly, they apply a spray on the rims. On a medium to slow day, you can be in and out of there short of 20 minutes! Just enough time to grab a coffee at the nearby cafe, Spruce, or cross the street and order some jack in the crack. A boring option would be to sit and wait at the benches. It's your call. Either way, the end product is you driving out of the lot with a fancy and clean automobile! I swear to you whenever I leave this place I feel like I'm driving a new car.
