April is a good person! I think her emotions got the better of her when I stated I didn't like some of the pictures. I think she only heard that I didn't like the pictures. Do I think she could have handled it differently...Yes. Joee overnighted my disk after I had waited 14 days for it to come via regular mail I got it the day before my wedding and I was able to use some of the photos for the wedding. I was pleased with those photos! Both Joee and April, made this look like my fault and as a business owner myself it's never good to make your clients look bad especailly, when they are not in the wrong. This was simply me as a client saying I was unhappy with some of the pictures and then getting the cold shoulder for it. Joee, for you to say what you said about me knowing the family...and trying to turn it around and be about that was just unprofessional. It had nothing to do with this process. If as a business person you offer services to someone and they accept your price coming back later and saying they got a major discount is of poor taste. April could have charged whatever she liked and I could have chosen whether or not her services was worth the money. You both have many things to learn when dealing with clients. I have changed my review because I liked the pictures I used it was the attitude and lack of respect for my needs that made this such a bad situation. I wish April many happy clients and much business. One unhappy client doesn't mean that everyone is unhappy with her. I've had experiences that were good and bad with my own business. I learned from them and work better with clients because of it. April, I suggest you learn from this to not take it personal if someone isn't happy. Just because you do good work doesn't mean every picture is going to be good. Overall, I used 6 pictures and I was happy with those. Best of luck to you.

Rachel I would like to take a moment to respond to your review. I am April's husband, co-owner of April Stanley Photography, and assistant photographer. I am a little confused as to why you would leave a negative review on our business page for a personal favor. You have been a close friend of our family for over 20 years. Because of that you were offered a huge discount and we bent over backwards to accommodate your needs. I am sorry that you were unhappy with your photographs. Some things are out of the photographer's control. You state that we delayed getting your pictures to as some sort of vendetta against you. I assure you it was not. It was explained to you that no photos would be delivered until your balance was paid in full. Your being charged full price had nothing to do with your dissatisfaction. You were charged full price because when you decided to find another photographer for your wedding the bundle discount was invalid. I agree that it is always a good idea to research anyone you plan to hire for a service. I would like to again point out that you have known April for more than 20 years. You have literally watched her grow up. It would be hard to research a person any better than that. As you well know you have already been given a full discount along with a disk containing your images. Please know that it is also an American right for a person to protect themselves from defamatory remarks made in public. To say that someone is blackmailing you and to call them vindictive and a liar goes well beyond the scope of an Internet review. I am truly sorry that your friendship with April's sister ended the way it did. I believe that had that not happened you would have never resorted to this kind of behavior. I hope that you find a wonderful photographer for your wedding and that it is remembered as one of the best days of your life. Rachel we wish you the best. I appreciate you taking the time to point out that we do in fact have 1000s of happy clients. To date we have only received two negative reviews. This one and the one from your husband. I know that April dedication to her work and all of those other happy customers speak volumes. Again I am very sorry that you were not happy with your pictures. Since we have already refunded all of your money and given you all of the images from the shoot I feel that there is really nothing else we can do.
