The good .....
Food was great and so was the service
The bad .....
Time for some carpet and hvac replacement. It stinks like sour milk or mold :/
It's pretty warm and currently they have fans set up.
Also for the love CLEAN your front glass doors. First impression will be your biggest impression.
Sad to see businesses like this go down because they don't put money into their business. It takes money to make money.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Charlie P.Huntersville, NC541Feb 18, 2023
Well you see I came to Applebees with some friends waited 30 minutes for a drink for starters. Then 30 for another and then I ordered another one and it never came. And this was while I was waiting on my grub. You see I've been here for 2.5 hours and I'm freaking over it. We asked for our checks and it still took like 10+ min... honestly there is like 6 people in this restaurant idk why I waited in this Applebees for so long just to get our order cancelled. This place stinks please don't come I bet the food would be as good as the service. In the picture you can see I got no food.

Where to begin...
Me and one of my friends went in last evening around 10:30 for a late dinner. Walking in, there was all but 9 people in the entire establishment. We were seated and the waitress came up to us right away and took our drink orders. We ordered their Tipsy Reindeer as well as some appetizers.
When our drinks arrived, they looked nice however upon first sip, we're extremely sweet. Looking in our glasses, we noticed (what we thought was) glitter in the ice cubes. HOW SWEET! Upon further investigation - I now believe it was mold. When we brought it to the attention of our server, she mentioned it to the bartender, and they looked at their ice well, but didn't take it seriously. I had to go back up and confront the bartender to see what his thoughts were. Obviously, no bartender or server wants to hear that their ice is dirty, so they brushed it off and kept it moving.
After a long weight - our appetizers arrived. I had ordered spinach artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks, and loaded waffle fries. Not one thing that was placed on the table was even lukewarm. It was all cold. I had also ordered a side of ranch with the fries, which we had to remind the server about three - YES, THREE - different times.
When she came back with the ranch we ordered coronas - and never saw our server again. Our stomachs still not feeling well from the moldy ice, we decided that we were ready to go. My friend had to get up from the table to find the server to ask for our receipts and a box for their unfinished food.
All in all, I do not plan on returning as I have felt completely sick the entire day today. Fever, chills, and stomach issues. Avoid Applebees the best you can!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jb R.Whiteville, NC767181Jun 4, 2023
The female manager was so rude. Sits at the bar laughing while she's working. And she's super rude to her employees.

5 stars for our server Christopher but 1 star for the food. Christopher was very polite and just the right amount of attentive. Service did start off slow but as everywhere is now, they appeared to be understaffed. This location had a lot of hostesses but only two servers that I noticed. Christopher was very apologetic for the delays but if you want to eat out right now, waiting should be expected.
The good: we were seated right away. It was Friday night but no wait (which probably should have been a sign of the food issues). Our server was great! I told him about an issue and told him it wasn't a big deal but he still took half off the effected meal. We all enjoyed the classic app (spinach dip, salsa, chicken quesadilla, mozzarella sticks, and Buffalo wings). My side salad was also decent. I did like the Mexi ranch dressing.
The not so good: the food was clearly microwaved but not in a good way. The chicken inside the fajita roll ups was crazy hard. Two of us ordered this and didn't really eat much as we both bit into hard pieces. I took mine apart to reveal what looked like dried chicken cubes, I can only assume was microwaved too long. The bourbon steak off the fancy like menu was okay. It was a bit gristly in parts. One of our mashed potato's was cold. Like ice cold. That's the issue we told our server about and he took half off the meal. The fancy like Oreo shakes tasted okay but there was nothing fancy about them. They came out in a styrofoam cup and were quite small. The commercial and pictures on the menu were very misleading.
So my recommendation here is to come here for drinks, sit at a table in Christopher's section, and stick to appetizers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jack R.Lumberton, NC014Feb 7, 2023
I've been to this restaurant several times. The Chicken Fajita Roll-up is my favorite menu item. I'm not questioning a previous review. Of course anybody can have a bad day. But the meal I just finished was EXCELLENT and the service provided by Landin was top notch! Kudos to Landin!!

I went to this Apple bee's at 11:20 am even though they open at 11:00am. I went and stood their and no one was really helping anyone. There was some guy vacuuming and it was really loud and the bar tendered were just wrapping silverware.

Met some gal pals there for an early dinner and had an OKAY time. Was called sir when I sat down and, although I've been smoking a pack a day for 40+ years now, I DO NOT LOOK LIKE A SIR. The waiter was apologetic and seemed to be doing their best while serving us while they seemed under staffed (maybe two servers in total). I don't frequent this establishment often but, when I do, it's for the atmosphere with it being quiet and empty and the decor that was popular in the early 2000's. I LOVE THEIR LAMPS. The food is AVERAGE and the chicken sandwich I got tasted like what I use to buy at the Sam's Club a few years back. Their mashed potato's are very good but do not recommend the BLUE BAHAMA MAMA. It was very sweet and I couldn't drink more than half before I reached my sugar intake for the year. I'd still say that the price is good for it if that's your cup of tea, or should I say, bowl of alcohol but PERSONALLY it wasn't for me. Overall, its an average place where your experience might be hit or miss and I wouldn't go in with high expectations but it's a place with food for cheap and sometimes that's all a WOMAN needs.
