Had no idea this meet n' greet existed, but came by randomly this past Saturday evening. Met Elsa and Anna, after waiting about 10 minutes in the very short line. Was not intimidating at all; and they were both so friendly. Kid took a photo with them and off we went back to meet Crush (who is just next door).

We just went back yesterday and had such a good time! This time, Anna and Elsa were very sweet and friendly. Well, mostly Anna. She was goofy, chatty, friendly, and SO true to character, ever so slightly awkward (well, more bubbly than awkward, really).
The wait took less than 30mins at 6:30pm on a relatively busy Monday afternoon (blue on the crowd calendar, 76% on Mousewait), and they were so sweet to my shy two year old who frequently talks about wanting to meet certain Disney characters (and randomly tells me she wants to hug them even when we aren't in Disneyland), but often clams up when it's finally our turn to interact with them in person or get a photo.
There were a few adult guests ahead of me who were visiting from Japan and decked out in Frozen apparel and some had the cutest little themed plush Anna dolls and accessories, and Princess Anna was just so sweet she pointed them out and complimented the guests. You could tell it made their day.
My daughter was shrieking and giggling excitedly when we left, and even asked to go back tomorrow. :-)
This is the kind of magic we expect to experience at Disneyland, and I am SO grateful that, thanks to the actors and and how well they represented the characters, we could all feel the magic yesterday.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0Feb 20, 2015Previous reviewThe wait time for this is RIDICULOUS.
I went to take my 22-month-old to meet with Anna and Elsa. You HAVE to obtain a fastpass to get in the line to meet with Anna and Elsa and we did this two days in a row. On the first day, our fastpass was for her naptime, which she stayed up for..... through a 90 minute wait for fastpass holders. By the time we got in, my daughter was soooo tired she wanted nothing to do with anyone but me. She kept asking to nurse and actually that might have made her temporarily comfortable enough to say hi to the princess & the queen but when I asked a cast member if I could find a quiet corner to nurse for a few minutes, she told me that it would be better if I came back or people would see me. The second time we went, we grabbed our fastpasses as SOON as the park opened and got in our line the minute our fastpass said we could. We only had to wait in line about 15 minutes.
The Anna and Elsa on our first day were very friendly and playful with the kids. Elsa really took her time playing with a shy toddler around my daughter's age, using her cape to "hide" the toddler and play peek-a-boo with her. It was just so cute and definitely the kind of interaction my daughter needed. She always needs a moment to warm up to a character in real life, and you'll often hear her or see her waving at them and wanting another chance to say hi when we've started walking away.
The Anna and Elsa on day 2, however, were cold and grumpy. They didn't even try to high five my daughter when I asked her if she wanted to nor did they smile directly at her.... just at the camera for ONE picture. I tried to get my daughter to go and give one of them a hug and they had already called the next person in line and they didn't even bother nicely acknowleding my daughter or waving bye so my daughter was left a bit unhappy. She had been asking to meet with Anna and Elsa again since watching them with the other kids the previous day.... and after this, she hasn't even wanted to watch "Let it Go." She still loves Olaf, though! - Jan 19, 2015First to Review
Meet Anna and Elsa in person! You have to stand in line with a Fast-Pass. The wait was about 20-30min...not bad. It's all inside where the Animation Academy is so it's cool and relaxing. When you meet the characters in person they sign your autograph books and take photos. Enjoy!

Not a bad experience! My friends and I went to the animation academy and happened to see the entrance to Anna & Elsa's Royal welcome. There wasn't a line at all so we decided to go in. For the most part I feel awkward meeting characters that aren't in a costume (small talk isn't my thing), but I love photos. It was a little awkward, but the photo pass photographers were nice and helped take pictures with our cell phones (tip - all photo pass photographers will do this). I wouldn't wait more than 5 minutes in line to go to this character meeting, but if the line is short you might as well go! You'll have a fun picture to show the little ones in your life.

The Elsa and Anna meet and greet is so stupid... you have to have a fast pass for it which means you have to wait an hour to get in line, plus you can't get another fast pass for an hour. Once you get in line you are waiting over an hour... WHAT IS THE POINT OF A FAST PASS???? Stupidest thing.
