Amica Mutual Insurance Company

I have had a few different insurance companies in my lifetime and I have to say that Amica has been the easiest to work with. The staff in this office is incredibly polite as well as professional. Every time we come into the office we are warmly greeted and served quickly.

The building itself is conveniently located off the highway and it is housed in the People's Bank building which is gorgeous. There is always ample parking and limited wait times.

This is a company we look forward to working with and we will continue to have them as our insurance.

So my mom died of a heart attack and wasn't able to cancel because 'I didn't have paperwork authorizing me to do so'??? When I asked what would happen if it was me and I didn't have a living will and could I just send of copy of the death certificate and/or provide her SS, DOB, etc was told NOOOOOO

Wow! Saved $1000 first year. Amica trains their personnel so they are knowledgeable. If you have any doubt of your local agency's competence-Switch! Unless you want to continue lining their pockets - your choice...

I had a terrible experience attempting to buy car insurance here. The woman I worked with was incompetent, slow and unprofessional. Despite both my partner and I's clean driving records, she managed to read her online records wrong and say with utter full confidence (and also checked with her "manager") that we had an at-fault accident on record (which we don't) and eventually that they wouldn't be able to offer us insurance (after pressuring me to sign without even knowing what they'd charge us because of this fictitious accident). After wasting more than an hour of my time, I left and went to a different insurance company. Not only was my quote about $300 cheaper with better specs (and with a A+ BBB company rating, so they can't simply say you pay for "better" service), but the insurance agent was professional and knowledgeable. We since purchased insurance through her and had an excellent experience (and received the good driving discount after checks on our records). Overall, I would not recommend this branch.
