I bought mine without vision insurance. You will have to call to see if they will take your insurance. Once you are there for an appointment they can help you with that as well.

Company reputation The Consumer Square Store is the worst
America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses has a D- rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and they're not BBB accredited.
Customer reviews on the BBB site, which aren't used in the BBB rating calculation, average 1.18 out 5 stars. According to the BBB, there have been 374 complaints closed in the last 3 years. The types of complaints logged focus on a number of issues, including customer service and the quality of eyewear.
Many customers note that their glasses or contacts were unwearable, and may have been the wrong prescription.
America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses has a poor Trustpilot rating of 2.6 out of 5 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debra B.HOLLAND PATNT, NY07Oct 30, 2023
The lenses my lenses became foggy, and I scratched up in less than two years, and just had to have the lenses replaced. I've had glasses for five years or more and not have the damage done in less than two years and America's best . And the prices are just the size everybody else.

I have been going to Americas best since 2016 and I havent really had any issues. Only thing I noticed with my last visit was the false advertising. People were coming into the store expecting to get free eye exam and buy one get one deal. In fact that is only half true. You get a free eye exam if you buy two pairs of glasses. 2nd pair is 40% off, not free. Staff was very nice and all was in order. Me and husband both had a great experience. Even had the lady cashing us out give us a coupon. For 20% off. My Only advice is to be AWARE false advertising.

When I had my eye exam they never used differ lines to check my eyes. When I got my glasses I could not see with them. I could see better with my old glasses. The computer glasses were the same. Because of the exam these glasses were not right. I paid 219.95.
I asked for a refund. To get a refund I was told I would have to subtract 60 dollars from the cost.
Because the exam was not right I feel only right that I get a full refund.
For this reason I would not recommend AMERICAN BESTHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sharlene L.Durhamville, NY21459124Apr 9, 2016
Some of the staff were friendly but maybe it's just me being older and they are millennium kids? So guest service is sometimes more than 50% of a guest's experience, sometimes more. In this case the value of the glasses far outweigh any conceptions of how nice it is to be valued as a guest or customer.

Thought I would give this location another shot. Highly disappointed by their rude staff. Called to let them know I would be a few minutes late due to driving in from out of town and was very rudely told the Doctor leaves at 6:30 and if I was 10 mins late I would loose my appointment even though they close at 7:00. Regardless I sped to get there and arrive on time. Upon arriving the manager "I'm assuming" was very snotty and rude. The employees were arguing with each other through out my appointment. The doctor I saw seemed like I was burdening her "busy" life by being there. She basically told me all contact lenses are the same and she didn't seem interested in learning what I would like from my contacts. Wasn't happy answering my questions and made me feel stupid. Overall the experience was completely unprofessional and I will never go back to that location. The only positive was the girl associate who cashed me out was super sweet and helpful. Other than that this place thinks they are something special when really all they are is a retail store that happens to have an eye doctor.

Polite staff. Timely appt. The only thing was that they didn't ask about vision insurance and I forgot to mention it. Waiting for glasses to come in- it is a 2 week wait. Will update if anything changes. Otherwise happy with service and selection of glasses and great prices. This is my second experience at an Americas Best and no complaints from first visit either.
