Fantastic!
I don't want to spoil anything here, but I gotta day this escape room experience had me hooked!
I think what makes this escape room different than the other one I tried was while the immersive experience wasn't as intense, the puzzles, clue and overall sleuthing you have to do is pretty amazing. Pretty amazing as in "a few hours later, I'm still in awe how they did that!"
There are many things you wouldn't quite expect and it's so amazing! Well worth it!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 572891738Aug 16, 2018
Initially I wasn't excited about coming to the escape room for my staff retreat but once we got in and Krissi began instructions, I had a good feeling about it. Turns out... Had an amazing time in the Art Gallery. Krissi was a great guide... hilarious!!!
Would definitely come back and do it againHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dominic M.Philadelphia, PA104111158Dec 6, 2019
My family came into Philly from NY back in November to celebrate my sister's 12th birthday. I was tasked with finding activities that all 8 of us could enjoy- ranging from age 9 to 62- and that was not easy.
I figured that a family-friendly escape room would be a good idea to get us out of the cold and would be something everyone could participate in on some level. There was a pretty great Groupon deal available, and looking at the website, the Art Gallery seemed to be the best choice. I am a very competitive individual, but no one else in my family is, so as a group we are very easygoing people. If you are competitive and absolutely want to solve the room- this is probably not the room for you, lol.
The website does not mention that this is their hardest room, and we found out before entering that it has a 12% solve rate. Now, we did have fun- each of us managed to find at least one important clue, so no one felt left out. We also managed to get pretty far along before running out of time, but we did not solve it.
I would return again with family or perhaps on a double date, but I would definitely make sure it's a room that works well for the group that's going.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1895131Nov 8, 2018Updated review
This was more entertaining than I thought! The blackout mode was definitely worth it. Adrienne was more than helpful as a game master and made this experience so much better.
We came back for a second time and it was even more fun! Adrienne was again, a fun and informative host. She made us feel like we should come back for our third time!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 25, 2018Previous reviewThis was more entertaining than I thought! I had so much fun here! I'll start by saying -- I've been to a LOT of escape rooms in my time, so I know what I'm comparing to. I went to this Room with some friends and I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms' level of difficulty. The pass rates were only around like 20% which is a lot harder than usual (a good thing in my opinion). The employee manning the rooms was nice and SO funny. She had us dying laughing even while we were in the room from her jokes. In my group we ended up doing all three of the rooms being offered on that day and EVERYONE gave positive reviews saying that the rooms were interesting, not to hard, and the appropriate number of hints were given. WOULD recommend! And that's saying something coming from me talking about escape rooms. Please go

Our Game Master, Dylan, was a very nice guy. He 100% did his job, and he made the most of what was a very poor room.
Otherwise, Art Gallery is the worst room I've ever played. And we are big escape room fans.
First, the theme has nothing to do with the game. There's a bunch of art on the walls, and it means nothing. There is one very small art themed puzzle, and it's by far the easiest one.
Second, the room is incredibly shabby. Uneven floor, overused locks that you have to put the code into multiple times to get them to open, chipping paint, unevenly hung art, props falling off walls (literally).
Third, the room is full of decoy clues that don't matter at all. We wasted a ton of time solving puzzles that didn't lead to anything. At the end, we asked about the decoys, because our experience with escape rooms is that every detail matters. The GM admitted that there were a lot of decoys and said they'd added them to make the room harder. A good room, in our opinion, has hard puzzles that lead you somewhere.
Our understanding is that this is a corporate chain. I think from now on we will likely stick with small businesses that are committed to quality.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emily G.Chapel Hill, NC17127111Feb 12, 2020
Noah was amazing! We went with a bachelorette party on February 9, 2020. We had originally reserved the room on Saturday night but something urgent came up; when we called, Noah easily gave us the Sunday afternoon slot and we were still able to attend.
He was super nice and explained the rules well, especially since we had someone who had never done an escape room and someone else had completed at least 10. Noah gave us hints exactly when we needed them. The room was challenging without being so frustrating. The room we did had a 30% success rate but we made it out. I liked that he asked for feedback at the end so we could talk about puzzles we liked and the ones that were too frustrating. Thank you to Noah for a great experience!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Wanda W.Brooklyn, NY420290847Jun 28, 2017
My first escape attempt!
So though we were unable to actually get out of the room I had a great time with my gal pals.
I can't fully explain my grievances because I would give away secrets of the room, but I will say the 2nd to last clue in the 1970's room is absolute bullsh!t.
Once the staff went over it I was really annoyed. I felt like it didn't match them theme and didn't actually make much sense.
Aside from this we did have a good time and I would consider going again for another roomHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amelia B.Charlotte, NC3837170Jun 27, 2019
Our family of six (4 kids 11 and under) escaped with 5 minutes to spare. Best escape room we've ever done(not our first). It was very creative and there are a lot of puzzles and contextual decor in the room and that's what makes them good! Also the puzzles were not too hard but enough to make it seem real. Thanks to our game master (Adrienne) we wouldn't have escaped without her help and encouragement. Thank you Amazing Escape Room!

Even though there were some kinks such as a mirror kind of falling off, the kinks were dealt with well. There was a lock which wouldn't open properly. So, an appropriate 5 minutes was added on. Noah knew how to be human and friendly with the situation.
