I went here with my best friend. Her boyfriend bought us a spa package that included a 30 minute massage, 30 minute facial, and a manicure.
The staff were professional and friendly. They knew it was our first time and were very detailed in telling us what we had to do.
Compared to other spas, their prices are reasonable and the services are worth it. I'll be back!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Megan B.San Francisco, CA343281Apr 27, 2019
Years of inconsistent service. Sometimes I'm super happy, other times I don't know if Eryn was even listening when I told her what I wanted. She said she would do highlights even though I was booked for balayage. She said it would be less expensive. I said I did not want to go too much lighter. She highlighted my head and charged for the balayage.. and it was significantly lighter. I called several times and and never called back.
Nice facility though.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - ER B.Vienna, VA416265Jun 25, 2017
I haven't gotten a hair cut in almost a year. This is how picky I am about my hair. I was so scared about not finding a good hair dresser. We just move not too long ago to victor and I've been reading reviews from all over to find a good hair dresser.
I finally decided to give it a chance. I requested Taylor because I could see many customers were happy with her work. Well let me tell you. She's a doll!! Very friendly but not annoying like some where she would make your experience unbearable. She's very sweet and really listens to what you ask her to do with your hair.
I love my hair cut!!! And I love their products. I couldn't stop smelling my hair like a freak lol.
I cannot wait for my hair to grow this way I'll have a reason to go back.
I highly recommend this salon. I honestly think their prices are fair. It is very clean and very well decorated. ++++++ loved it !!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ilene. G.Yonkers, NY012Mar 14, 2021
Went here for a wash, cut and blow dry plus having manicure. Came here on my daughters recommendation as new to area. I used Angela and she was very good. Took her time cutting my hair and discussing different ways to do it. My hair came out great and very happy with my cut. I also had a manicure done as my cuticles and nails were in bad shape. I had surgery on my hand several months ago, and it is hard for me to do my nails. She was gentle and very careful so she wouldn't hurt my hand.
Angela was a kind person and very friendly. She is patient and listens to what your needs are. I have another appointment in April. Can't wait to go. Salon very clean, took safety precautions and well decorated. Highly recommend this salon. Prices are high, but I've learned about over the years, you get what you pay more. Most places have raised prices because of pandemic.
I live 30 minutes away, but worth the trip.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lina B.Smithfield, RI236176559Apr 30, 2017
I moved to the upstate area last July and have been needing a good salon. I don't cut my hair often, maybe 2-3 times a year, but I was well in need for a cut! My last cut was a lob done by a stylist in Fairport that was ok, but was not growing out well - though it did even out... ish.
After months of scrolling through Yelp to find a new salon, I decided to visit Allora. I made my appointment for Friday afternoon and met with Taylor. She's so sweet and tries to make good conversation without being too nosy. When I got in, I didn't really have any idea of what I wanted. She ended up keeping my hair pretty similar (style-wise) but was able to make it lighter (weight-wise) and trimmed off a lot of the split ends without making it look super short. She also balanced out the look and gave me layers which I loved!
What I appreciated most about Taylor was that she knew what to do with my hair and explained why she would do something. I have coarse, thick Asian hair so I do get nervous when I go to a new salon. Taylor decided to cut my hair dry and explained why this would be best considering my hair style (apparently dry cutting let's the stylist see how the hair will fall better than wet cutting would for coarse hair. Who would've thought!).
I believe I've found my salon! I don't go often, mainly because I like to grow my hair out usually, but if I ever need to color it or an updated cut, I'm definitely planning to come back for Taylor!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Three of us scheduled nail services for the first time at Allora this past Saturday. Two of us were scheduled for the comparable Chardonnay vineyard combo with a gel manicure add-on and one for a traditional gel mani. I was charged extra and when I asked why the receptionist charged me extra, she informed me I was scheduled with Euro pedicurist which was more money. I was not told that at the time of scheduling. After getting my itemized receipt I realized that myself and another person in our party were over charged for our services. To top it all off this is what my pedicure looks like 6 hours after my service! I called on Sunday and spoke to a manager who stated someone would be following up with me on Tuesday. Sadly that was not the case. Horrible experience for first time customers, I will not be recommending this place to anyone.
Update: a manager did get back to me and confirmed that no matter what service we were scheduled for we were both overcharged HOWEVER they will only refund $6.50! The manager stated that this is due to their liquor license (we were told a glass of wine was included, we did not ask for wine) which is an absolute lie. Restaurants and bars comp alcoholic drinks all of the time. This salon not only overcharges customers, they are also dishonest.
Hi Jill,
I was not offered a redo for my polish by your management staff until 3 days after I made my complaint and at that time I informed your staff I had already went to another salon to have it fixed. To clarify the polish I brought in was from OPI and I have never had any concerns with it's quality before or since.
As a small business the amount of the liquor should have been discounted from the price of service since your staff made a mistake (which is bound to happen in this business). Instead the customer paid for the mistake. Good luck with your salon and building your business.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Tina,
Thank you taking the time to provide us with valuable feedback. As a small business, we are always looking for ways in which we can improve and we apologize that in this case, that we did not exceed your expectations. We regret that one of our front end coordinators did not clarify the price difference upon scheduling, and failed to apply the package pricing at checkout. We are taking this as an opportunity to fine-tune our training in client communications. As discussed on Wednesday, we’ve reimbursed credits for the $5 per package ($10 total) which was overcharged, in addition to honoring the price of a discontinued nail service package.
While we cannot speak for other businesses, NYS law does not allow for alcohol to be given to consumers at no charge. As the only salon & spa in Western New York that holds a valid liquor license, we unfortunately are not willing to compromise our licensing and our ability to sell alcohol at our establishment. Because of this, the credit we reimbursed, less the wine totaled $6.50.
Our Polish Policy does guarantee our regular polish services, as we offer complimentary touch ups for any nicks, chips or scratches within the first 24 hours. Since we honored your request to use your own personal discontinued nail polish that you had brought with you to the service, we are unable to guarantee the longevity of it, but we did however offer to redo your polish at no charge, which you declined.
We sincerely apologize for the discrepancies and hope you will be satisfied with both the refunded differences which have already gone through, as well as the gift certificates for complimentary manicures which we’ve sent to your party for the inconvenience!
Warm Regards,
Jill Rizzo-Budd

Love this hair salon. After going to a salon that chemically burned my hair I started coming to Allora and they have saved my hair and it's finally growing back. Staff is very intelligent with hair care and coloring. Very reasonable prices and well worth it

I had an experience end of September 2019 and was super nervous and excited to have my hair done before I moved. This place was elegant and chic, but very pricey. A young lady slowly acknowledged me and offered some refreshments, which was nice. Finally, I met hairdresser-Katrina. Great gal to chat with and take some tips on my wavy/curly hair. Came through on an appt for some highlights and a cut only. I ended up getting the deva curl cut, which she explained is specialty designed for curly headed folks. Cool-I must need it right?! ...Get my wash, &cut. And then the highlights...then another one of her appointments shows up and she leaves me with someone else. Mind you I think at this point iam at hr 3 by now there. Last chic finished me, not listening to me as I never wanted straight hair and blowed dried half way. Then...I bought the DevaCurl products Katrina recommended...and I left very unhappy with the overall quality and service. Even though, I brought them another customer aka my boyfriend later that day, I ended up getting a phone call because they forgot to charge me more!! Not only was I there for over 4 hours and had awful service half way...Allora insisted I pay. No! 2 stars is for cute place and I had liked Katrina-but the hair crushed everything.
Now, after several months I've used DevaCurl products bought from this place and has since ruined my curly hair and I have found thousands of people looking just like me with the same symptoms and damage!! There has been this year 2020, news articles on these products calling for a recall ! Stop selling harmful products!
Katrina knew I had troubles trusting someone with my hair for years! This is the worst-educate yourselves now.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Natalee K.Rochester, NY18289Mar 17, 2017Updated review
I typically end up getting a facial/spa treatment a few times a year. I've been to a number of spas in the area, and I always like trying something new. Specifically because in this case I found Mindy! I had the most incredible facial I've ever had. When it was over it almost felt like she had erased my brain, I was so calm and relaxed. She is intuitive, gentle, firm- a natural talent. If you're looking to relax and unwind, I'm betting she can do the trick.
The rest of the staff was great- friendly, helpful and welcoming. So happy I went here!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

I asked for an ombré look but I got highlights. At least that's what it looked like. See picture I posted. This is why I'm giving it three stars. It's not terrible but it wasn't what I wanted. It took three hours. The last time I got my hair done (it was a lot longer in length), and it actually looked like the ombré style, it took two hours. The salon was recommended by my neighbors. I'm new to Victor and I wanted to go a little light for summer. Perhaps it was just the stylist that worked on me, because the other ladies near me did appear to love their hair cuts and color.
