Is it a good place to just sit on your computer a while, and write? Do they have wifi?

      A:

Yes! They do have WIFI and it was perfectly quiet and cool. I did the same while I was needing to escape during a Robotics competition at the convention center.

Eh this place is alright. I'm not a fan of its location and it doesn't give me that coffee house atmosphere. I do like the fact that they brew their own coffee which is Houston's Argus coffee. It's fairly new!

I ordered a plain drip and thought it was just ok. It's a light roast which I'm not a fan of. I do like how they serve hot tacos which is a great option compared to the typical sweet pastry. This place is like a dive bar but for coffee. If you're staying around the downtown area and need a grab n' go, then this is the closest you'll get to decent coffee unless you drive further elsewhere which isn't an issue either.

I was in town for a few days and found this coffee shop that was in walking distance from my hotel. I was hoping to get some school work done and was pleased by the spacious area and ample seating comprised of comfy couches as well as bistro tables.

I ordered the flat white and the barista recommended the vegan jalapeño and scallion scone. The scone tasted like a really good biscuit with just a hint of heat and the flat white had the perfect amount of espresso to milk ratio.

They had a bag of bourbon barrel coffee for purchase, but I forgot to look before I left.

Great place to study at. There are a lot of tables and plugs to do so. The entire coffee shop gives a very hipster feel to it (it is also quite large). It is a good place to chill (there are some board games available too). Unfortunately, I wish it wasn't in a sketchy part of town. Also, parking could be better.

I remembered the barista being really nice so props to her!

I had the Toddy and man that drink is strong. It was good but my anxiety levels were through the roof. So, if you plan on drinking coffee but you are prone to anxiety, do not get that drink lollll!

These 2 are the rudest people ever. Please note: they consented to this photo with a smile and a wave.

Rudest ever and the Toddy was terribly bitter.

Prior to purchasing my coffee I asked what the Toddy taste like. The female as seen in the photo explained it isn't acidic but strong due to the brewing process. So I decided to order 2 Toddy's. I explained I couldn't drink the coffee to the guy but before I had the chance to say anything else he told me well we explained what it taste like what didn't you get, then said u will have to pay for another coffee if you don't want that one. I had no intention of asking for free coffee but with his disgusting attitude I demanded my money back and didn't want either of them to make me anything.

      I will never be back.

As you guys know I love my coffee! I wanted to study somewhere new and not overly crowded because of finals. This was the place! It's spacious, clean, has plenty of outlets for your laptop needs, and has some good vegan options for the veggie peps!
And if milk isn't your friend they have a whole list of coffee options that have different milk options.
I got the Thai coffee which I think has cold brew and coconut milk! Might be a regular for me!

AHH, Coffee in the heart of the bustling EaDo scene. New young communities sprouting/gentrifying the old/underdeveloped area is mostly a good thing. AHH plays its role in providing artisan/craft coffee to the masses. Couple things I've noticed in my experience there.

First, due to the limited area, parking is a nightmare. Parking spaces come at a premium cost and retail spacing is extremely hard to get. Most patrons park on the side of the roads to neighboring businesses and then walk over. Gotta watch out for the metermaid and 'No Parking' signs. I always have a bout of anxiety whenever I park on the side of the road. Either way, AHH is relatively hard to get to if you drive.

Coffee is pretty solid and they have pretty good choices there. I favor the classic drip coffee and it came in a typical 8 ounce coffee cup with a saucer. Good tasting cup of joe for a sunny/cool afternoon. They also provide cold glass of self serve water on the side with copper tin cups. I suspect that these walk off themselves and even considered doing a 5 finger grab myself, however it was just a thought.

The facility itself is pretty suspect and questionable as there are at least 10 leaky pipes from the ceiling. Got to watch out for where you sit or else you'll get pelted by water from 'who knows where'. TBH, thats probably the most unsatisfying thing about AHH. What kind of owners would voluntarily allow leaks from their ceiling?

I get this is suppose to be a "industrial/Hipster" vibe, but when these leaks rain down on your patrons, make small hazard/puddles and make water spots on your tables/couches, that is a problem.

Coffee is good, wifi and outlet plugs galor everywhere you sit. Good vibes all around. However rough parking and water leaks through the sitting area really killed my experience. Its quite laughable.

Cute little coffee shop near my house!

They have a spacious inside space; I see a lot of ppl coming here to study or read. Parking lot is outside.

I usually get the iced vanilla latte. It's really good! They also have desserts like donuts and kolaches. Price is slightly on the expensive side.

Cute coffee shop, over by BBVA Compass Stadium. Great central location, close to a lot. I was so relieved when I discovered this shop had it's own surface lot, as opposed to other coffee shops where there's just street parking blocks and blocks away.

Approaching it, it wasn't what I was picturing in my head. Inside is very cute and I love the fairy lights (or Christmas lights) all along the ceiling lights. Plenty of seating with couches and tables everywhere. Our baristas were super friendly - I ordered an iced mocha coffee and a ham and cheese Danish. I loved my ham & cheese Danish, but wasn't a fan of my coffee. I drank about half & threw it away. I'm down to try other stuff on their menu. Their blueberry and cream cheese Danish is also delish!

      I LOVED THIS COFFEE SHOP!

It's super cute, the only thing is that it's not very conveniently located. It's convenient in the sense that it's in the heart of the city, across the highway from Discovery Green and right next to a bunch of bars- but BECAUSE it's by so many bars, parking was a headache. The tiny lot fills up very quickly, so does street parking, and your only choice is to circle several times, praying to baby Jesus that someone is leaving, or pay seven bucks to park.

I just do not believe in paying more for parking your vehicle than the actual service or good you're parking your car to get.

Anyway, the staff was suuuper friendly and there's ample seating everywhere. There's a cute layout of couches and a lot of them so you can your friends can drink coffee and just hang out F.R.I.E.N.D.S style, and there's plenty of tables that you can utilize if you actually need to do work.

My friend and I both got drip teas, which were really cutely presented. They had a lot of options and the barista was super friendly and helped us pick out which one was the right one for us. We spent several hours there and before we knew it, it was time to go. They close at 7pm.

Right before we walked out, the friendly barista offered us a donut, because they don't let them sit out overnight (shows good quality right there), and she was going to have to throw them away anyway. UH YES. That won them an extra star. Shows that the staff and establishment are human, and do not penny pinch.

Their drip teas are super cute!!

The gal pal and I took a quick weekend in Houston. This little shop was within walking distance of our hotel, and definitely in walking distance from the Convention Center, Discovery Green and Minute Maid Park.

Walked in and were greeted by a very friendly barista. For me, any coffee shop featuring a Chemex pour-over automatically gets an additional star. I told her I'd go with whatever blend she recommended, that meant the Guatemalan. It was served in a glass carafe - easily 3-4 small cups worth of coffee (16-20 oz if I had to guess). Those pour-overs really bring out the flavor of the coffee - it was poured very well - smooth and not bitter.

The place itself is large with lots of comfortable seating; it's probably a great place to feature live music. If you get too far from the front of the store (which has large glass windows letting in lots of natural light) lighting can be a little dim. If I were going to read or work, I'd definitely want to be toward the front windows. Overall - the place has a great feel - very laid back - very quiet.

Like another reviewer I read - I got a tad wet from an occasional drip sitting in one of the comfy chairs. There are small puddles/wet spots around the store from what I gather is a leaky roof, but don't let that deter you! This place has great seating and a great quiet atmosphere.

Glad we checked out AHH, Coffee!
